  1. Oh, so you pay attention to the data but bring zero to the discussion? That’s, well, odd...and ineffective.
  2. How deep do you want to take this? Cuz I can talk the game just fine thanks.
  3. That’s a completion percentage—PFF said passer rating.
  4. You mean except for citing the fact that every year there are picks like Jayon Brown, DeVondre Campbell, Milano, Jerome Baker, Mack Wilson, Joe Schoebert, Blake Martinez, Cory Littleton, etc that come in and do the job? Like I said about 6 responses ago?
  5. Thanks for at least citing something. Not sure which rating is correct here, because P-F-R has him surrendering a passer rating of 94.5 when in coverage: https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2019/defense_advanced.htm And again, it’s not about simply letting him walk because it’s easy to replace him. It’s about not giving him silly money since Will LBs aren’t hard to find.
  6. So as long as you keep repeating an opinion with zero context it becomes valid? Nice work.
  7. I didn't say that the team should simply let him walk and then look to replace him. I said that paying big money to a Will LB isn’t necessarily a good idea since they’re relatively easy to come by. And they are. So my solution would be to draft another Will in the mid rounds and see if you can get Milano to take a deal below the Deion Jones level.
  8. Actually, we can’t roll over cap room to 2021 unless that’s included as part of the new CBA. And this team has over $100M in cap space for 2021 as of now.
  9. Just point out why the take is bad then. You haven’t even come close to doing so except seemingly getting upset.
  10. Maybe there should be more to say, like, for example, show me how difficult it is to find a Will LB. because I would assert that it’s actually pretty easy. And for the record, I said I’d like to see him re-signed. Some folks are awfully sensitive about this. I think he’ll continue to play well. I also think that I’ll be paying close attention to what guys like Schoebert and Martinez get in FA. If Milano thinks he’s getting Moseley money he’s nuts.
  11. Another bad take? How so? Please show me anything that was incorrect about my post? Until then, feel free to respond to that last post from me in the “you don’t get starters for anything other than high draft picks” discussion ?
  12. I don’t cite that as a knock; just as a point of reference that it’s not uncommon. His missed tackle rate was 13%; pretty much middling for a starting LB. The guy that missed a bajillion tackles was Jordan Phillips. 24% missed tackle rate ?
  13. They're going to let Blake Martinez walk and sign Schoebert? Interesting.
  14. Either that, or people realize that it’s not difficult to find LBs. They got him in the 5th round. Mid-round picks consistently able to contribute at LB immediately. Every year there are Jayon Browns, DeVondre Campbell’s, Matt Milano’s, and Cory Littleton’s that manage it. Keep him if it makes sense, but there’s no reason to pay him like a pro bowl player when he’s a role player.
  15. Milano ranked 11th in the league in terms of missing the most tackles. It wasn’t exactly a rare occurrence. That said, I would like to see him re-signed provides that he doesn’t want silly money.
  16. It was 3rd and 18, and they had just come within 2 penalties and 1 missed block of winning on their previous possession. No reason to panic and throw the game plan out the window. Run your trusted play call and trust your players to do their job.
  17. Probably not. The potential CFAs that Buffalo could lose include Shaq, Spain, Jordan, Gore, KJ, and Coleman. The rest of their UFAs likely get league minimum money. Assuming that they lose all 3 of the big guys plus one other, they’d need to sign 3 or fewer UFAs that quality as CFAs in order to qualify according to the formula. With holes at WR, LG, DE, OLB, DT, CB, and backup LB, that seems very unlikely.
  18. He’s actually a pretty good play designer. He’s just a lousy HC and a brutal GM.
  19. Says the dude whose countrymen can’t pronounce an “H” sound ?
  20. Or an offensive play call that disguises the action of a defenders read key.
  21. The Murphy decision has zero impact on cap flexibility for the future. It is purely 2020; the final year of his deal. And again I ask: what good does it do to make your team worse for the sake of cap space that you don’t need?
  22. Or simply a player or two failing to hit his landmark in coverage...
  23. I have to hear how Dawkins is a game changer... I mean, I like the guy, but what???
  24. So good players never get cut? Good players never have a down year? Cmon...
  25. Well, for one thing, Graham and Curry counted a combined $16.5M. So they were at a total of $21M for DEs. At the time, the cap was $167M, so that was about 13% of the cap. If you want to assume that the Bills land a whale in FA, say a $15M/year guy, then they’ll be paying about $39.5M toward DEs. That’s about 20.5%. That’s not a big deal for one year when you have a QB on a rookie contract. And again, why make your team worse for the sake of cap space that you don’t need? Nobody seems to answer that question with anything other than “cap space!!!1!-!1!!1”
