  1. Absolutely. He’s the interchangeable Sam/Will type that McDermott loves, is a coach’s player, knows some of the guys, and... ...won’t count against the comp pick formula ?
  2. I would think so; injury is the only reason he didn’t make 9 consecutive pro bowls.
  3. And so goes one of the finest guards I’ve ever seen play the game.
  4. I’ve never understood why a relatively high percentage of Buffalo fans would rather have a team full of John DiGiorgio’s or Vaclav Varada’s than elite talents. Maybe it’s some kind of blue collar thing...I don’t know...but count me in as wanting to be the team that pays the super talented guys premium money.
  5. What happened in that game? Let’s see: the less experienced QB, with a far less talented supporting cast, went on the road and scored 2 TDs without turning the ball over and gave his team a 19-point lead. Meanwhile, the more experienced QB—with a much better supporting cast, put together one solid drive before crumbling, turning the ball over twice and putting his team in a 19-point deficit at home. But at least he piled up garbage yards and a score so that less-educated fans can claim that he somehow outplayed the guy that was clearly and obviously better that day.
  6. I used that one in the Bills-Jets lookalike thread last year for Trumine Johnson
  7. You know what would be great? If Josh and Dak went head to head on National TV so that we could see which one of them looked like a franchise QB and which one ?the bed. Wait...
  8. I couldn’t care less about conformity with groupthink; conformity with reality, however, is another matter. For the season, Tre allowed 45 completions on 90 targets with 6 INTs and zero TDs for a passer rating of 45.0. The only other corner that came even close to that type of performance was Gilmore. The idea that any other CB in the game was better for any stretch of time is borderline ludicrous. The idea that Wallace was better is practically insane. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2019/defense_advanced.htm
  9. It said “$6M base value”, which doesn’t indicate any measure of guaranteed money vs non, nor does it mean any amount of salary vs bonus
  10. Unless they both sign their tenders immediately—then they have the Cowboys over a barrel.
  11. Making him the 31st highest paid corner in the game (assuming that the $6M is legitimately salary and not all incentives)?
  12. I would say that there’s a better than 50% chance that the value reported is highly inflated. Words like “base value” are meaningless. That could be $3M in non-guaranteed base salary plus $1.5M signing bonus plus $1.5M bonus for being on the final 53, plus NLTBE incentives based upon games started and performance benchmarks.
  13. That’s just not at all what anyone had to say about him pre draft
  14. Um, what? Tre can’t get beat by the best WR in football? Not even once? Any point in mentioning that Tre also shut him down completely in the first half, and opened the 2nd half by forcing a Hopkins fumble that set up the FG to give the team a 16-0 lead? C’mon man; you’re better than that.
  15. Thanks for the compliment—must’ve missed that, my bad. Yeah, I haven’t gotten to as many players this year (or last year) since Baby #3 came along. I used to get to a minimum of 150 players (where I’d be able to get a full run through all of their college games twice for the initial work up, and then many of them a 3rd time after workouts and before the draft); now that number is barely 100. Anyway, my RB board looks like this: Taylor Akers Swift Dobbins CEH Also have serious draft feelings for Darrynton Evans WR board is: Lamb Jeudy Ruggs Jefferson Aiyuk But the receiver board is interesting. My top 3 are all top-15 guys. Then I have a gap between them and group 2 that includes Jefferson, Aiyuk, Hamler, Reagor, Higgins—all are top 45 guys IMO. Group 3 is Mims, Laviska, Claypool, Pittman—top 60. A few other personal favorites are Duvernay, Hodgins, Quartney Davis, and John Hightower.
  16. Needed work in the weight room? He was the strongest DT in the 2018 class
  17. Haha...I almost brought it up! He’s not a CFA, so he doesn’t count toward the formula for Buffalo. Neither do RFAs FWIW, so let’s get those offer sheets for Feiler and Breida ready!!!
  18. From 2010-2018, the perennial best WR in the game was a 5’11” guy that ran a 4.51
  19. A lot less than what? “Up to $6M in incentives” doesn’t tell you much
  20. Like Medium deal for a CB4 with great experience who was elite in this system. Smart move
  21. It’s difficult for me to have just one, but the fact that he’s my WR5 in this class says a lot about both him and this class.
