  1. Ooh ooh, pick me, pick me! I’ve got one! JK of course. I just happen to like the player and think he’d be a solid DT4.
  2. You know you don’t have to click the thread, right? WR discussion seems to bother you in an oddly specific way.
  3. And his route running is already pretty solid. He can really break ‘em off. But my favorite thing about the way he runs routes is that his burst off the LOS is not only explosive, but also consistent. He just blazes off the snap, and does so regardless of whether it’s a run or pass play, which is huge. It doesn’t allow DBs to easily key their coverage, leverage, or run fit. You’re right that he’s got what you can’t teach, and is already good (but can get better) at what you can.
  4. So I say to you: welcome to the party. Aiyuk is a legit man.
  5. Not sure this really affects Jordan; Shaq maybe a bit, but Leonard is more of a 4i/5, whereas Shaq is a 7/9.
  6. I don’t know that I would say depth isn’t a problem. They definitely need to be looking at backup QB and depth at RB, OL, DT, LB, and CB.
  7. I would probably be looking to move one way or another. I have something like 21 or 22 first round grades overall, and two of those are a RB and safety, which I wouldn’t ever use a 1st round pick on unless I were a RB or safety away from a SB, so I either want to go up to get a guy that is sliding to 16-20 or drop back with a team that’s in the 27-30 range.
  8. I don’t really do number grades or anything like that, but I have all 3 graded as high 2’s and Mims as a mid-to-late 2.
  9. Um, you also want to give the playoff and super bowl teams a fair chance to compete in the offseason. They only get 6 weeks from the big game until FA, and in that time they need to do closing physicals, medical evaluations, offseason planning, determine tags, tender RFAs, attend the combine, adjust boards, attend pro days, re-sign UFAs, make cuts, etc. It’s not only about staying relevant.
  10. Comparables are generally stupid anyway. In the right context they can give some insight, but usually it amounts to an unwillingness to do a full evaluation.
  11. I think the top 3 are gone by 17. Unless Philly moves up, I suspect that group 2 starts with them, or possibly Buffalo at 22. Either way, I think group 2 starts to go in the 20’s and consists of Jefferson, Aiyuk, and one of Reagor/Higgins/Hamler, with the others going in the top 10 of round 2. I think there’s a noticeable drop off from the top 8 to group 3 where you get Laviska, Mims, Claypool, etc.
  12. Coincided with moving the SB to February Need enough time for postseason break, combine, franchise tag period, RFA tenders, FA.
  13. You do know that Morse got a record contract for a center, right? He currently makes enough to be the 16th highest paid left tackle. I also never said that the 2 big money contracts would go to any specific players; I said that a team that wants to win a championship before they have to pay their QB would use free agency to add 2 premium talents.
  14. Doubt it. The Bills understand that they’re in the window now. They don’t have to pay Josh until 2022 at the earliest, so now’s the time. And YOLO is right; they can afford all of their own, plus 2 big-time FAs, plus draft picks and be absolutely fine under the cap for at least the next 2 years.
  15. A few things here... The only thing that Claypool’s combine tells me is that his long speed isn’t going to prevent him from playing in the league. I can’t fathom how he suddenly becomes a 1st round pick. He’s big and tough, but he has very little short-area quickness and doesn’t create much separation. To take him in the first would be implying that there’s a sizable difference between him and a guy like Denzel Mims or DPJ, and I really don’t see it.
  16. Well, I couldn’t possibly disagree more on Jeudy, Ruggs, Hamler, and Jefferson.
  17. That’s one reason why I’m keen on Sanders. He’s a precise route runner with speed and SAC, but he’s also a heady veteran that’s played in complex schemes in Pittsburgh, Denver, and SF.
  18. Swap Jefferson and Higgins and draw a tier between 7 and 8 and those are my rankings.
  19. Nope. And there won’t be...you can do a bit of dot connecting if you pay attention to players at positions of need that haven’t been speculated as being connected to any teams.
  20. Yeah seriously. Have to ? at the “he’s not a WR1” stuff...exactly which ‘Bama WR was the WR1?
