    Wouldn’t surprise me. Campbell-for-a-5th-in-2020 became a thing last summer for folks paying close attention to the cap and relative downward trend of the Jags. Right now, my favorite idea is pilfering RFAs from Pittsburgh; we’ll see if that comes to fruition.

    This is a total kick to the nuts. I hate seeing a move happen that more than a few predicted months in advance, for minimal compensation, followed by a reasonable contract, and to have it be a competitor for the AFC is aggravating.

    I think this is more an example of someone overstating a case and trying to walk it back. To answer your original question: yes, I have noticed that usually the best players go to the pro bowl—that’s why Clowney has been there 3 of the last 4 years.

    Hmmm...I though that the “best” players usually go to the pro bowl? Wouldn’t a guy that’s been there 3 out of the last 4 years be considered one of the best? Or do “best“ and “elite” mean different things? I know that “good” and “best” mean different things. Just very confused at where you’re going with this...

    Hang on here... Stats are all that matters, and you want a guy that actually produces sacks and not pressures. But the best players go to the pro bowl. So is Clowney one of the best or not? He’s never had 10 sacks in a season, but he’s made the pro bowl 3 out of the last 4 seasons...

    Can’t stand NE******, but man do I love Matthew Slater’s game. I know it’s tantamount to heresy ‘round these parts, but he’s probably a better pure ST ace than Tasker. Tasker was a much better WR though.

    This is the kind of thing that happens when you don’t watch the games; box score scouting makes people say odd things. If you watch the 3 guys and see the enormous difference between them it’s easy to understand.
