  1. Nope. I legitimately expect an opinion that includes a scintilla of reason from someone that can sit up and type at the same time.
  2. There's 32 teams in the NFL, so obviously the odds are far greater that he signs elsewhere than that he signs here. Saying he won't and ending up right doesn't make you some type of soothsayer. There are some fans, namely myself, that have been interested in trading for this player for over a year, even before it was reported that he was on the block last offseason. That alone makes his release relevant information and worth discussing. The "he's not coming here and I have no data to back it up other than there's 31 other teams" take is about as lazy and useless as they get, and frankly most of us expect more out of our fellow fans.
  3. I wanted to trade for him last offseason; I'm still in
  4. You guys are all wrong...it's Jon Voight:
  5. If healthy, he's a serious target for an OL-needy team. I doubt they'd have released him if he were a threat to be healthy anytime soon
  6. https://www.nfl.com/prospects/ike-boettger?id=32462018-0002-5598-39cf-734968de47d0
  7. Correct re Milano. How nice would it be to see the tables turn on NE? Where they sign someone else's player, only to see him poop the bed and then return to his former team and be productive? Doubt it happens, but that would be sweet
  8. Blue cheese Period And I got Caputi's wings last night
  9. Ok OP, you're on the record. If this comes true, your credibility will skyrocket. The possibility is certainly fun to consider.
  10. Unfortunately, for the first time in 31 years, I won't be renewing my seasons. Just got to be too much taking a 6th day away from the wife and kids. If not, I'd totally be down for a beer. I promise I wouldn't have to explain my humor (it's not funny if you have to explain it...or vice versa). For now I'll assume you actually meant have a beer and weren't makin a threat (cuz what "type" of person would do that?)
  11. Only way this gets better is if they sign Bowman and move Edmunds to Sam
  12. Indeed I've been supportive of picking any of the top 5 QBs, and I'm the first to admit that none of us knows how things will turn out. Just give the kid (and the regime) a chance
  13. My type? What, pray tell, is "my type"? Do you mean folks that like to jab a bit at the posters that state absolutes about prospects before they've taken a snap in the NFL? Oh, then yes, that's my type. I'm all about folks having an informed opinion; I'm also all about admitting when you aren't certain about something--the way some folks have railed against Allen, claiming certainty regarding his inability to succeed in the NFL, is well-deserving of ridicule IMO...even if they're eventually proven right. If a good-natured ribbing upsets those folks, well, then they need to toughen up. I'll start the process by being less passive and more aggressive!
  14. This isn't possible. There are really smart people on this board that know for a fact that he's a bust already.
  15. Yeah... that's the point Despite how much you yell and tout your QB-related genius, you don't know how Rudolph will end up. If he ends up being a franchise guy, then the team that would've picked him at 22 looks smart.
  16. It's not bothersome to me...I personally wouldn't have picked Rudolph before round 3, but there are some of us that recognize that we aren't always right about QBs. Comparing what the rest of the NFL thought to what NFL Network says that Buffalo's GM would have considered really doesn't mean much. The rest of the NFL thought Dak Prescott was a 4th round pick and Russell Wilson was a 3rd round pick.
  17. By that same logic, you'd have been appalled at a team selecting Dak Prescott in the 1st round too--and you'd have been wrong.
  18. You don't plan on playing games in January, huh? I'll bet the coaching staff disagrees with that approach.
  19. Can I have Julian Love right now? Because I'll take Julian Love right now.
  20. I'd take Good Magic or Vino Rosso I've always like Ortiz as a jockey.
  21. What you're saying is true for high school and the college, and for all I know it may end up that way in the NFL, but what I saw last season was that NFL OCs designed their RPO packages to account for all of the box defenders (save for the KEY) and largely reduced the QB run threat. Like I said, I think it's something that Daboll will want to mix in regularly to keep defenses honest and protect Allen...it could end up being a fad/gimmick, in which case I think Allen is going to have to develop faster and further to have success in the shorter term.
