  1. Here's what you do: Go get a dozen Paula's donuts Shovel them into your pie hole Relax for a few hours Go watch Bills football Should fix everything
  2. It's all good man. He's not long for TBD
  3. Nope. Not even close. It's totally fine for their CEO not to support same-sex marriage; that's their right. It's also not hateful; close-minded perhaps, but if you can't point to a single hateful thing they've said or done, well, you're mis-labeling.
  4. Methinks you're missing a very important comma in that sentence? Also dying to know who's hating on "homesexuals" that's even been mentioned in this thread, but I have a feeling you won't be around long enough to tell me...just a guess.
  5. Right before? Because they're not open on Sunday
  6. How's that Melvin Gordon trade coming along?
  7. Of course it does, see my sig line. Honestly though, I was answering Hapless' question
  8. Honestly? I don't know...and I don't care. Back in college, my closest friend was black, and he used to call me that word on occasion (it always had the "a" ending, for whatever that's worth). I always found it odd (and somewhat uncomfortable only because I didn't know how to react). But I never questioned it because he seemed totally comfortable with doing it from time to time.
  9. It's stupid and insensitive, and discrimination always will be stupid and insensitive. Like it or not, terms that carry along with them the stigma of being used as part of centuries of discrimination are going to be viewed as much more inflammatory than words of a similar ilk that describe groups that haven't faced centuries of discrimination.
  10. I picked those two because they were veterans that came over from winning teams.
  11. Sure, discrimination in all forms should be discouraged and chastised. I think it's going to be a long time before "cracker" makes its way to anywhere near the top of the list (and for quite understandable reasons)
  12. I actually don't think it's quite as bad, because IMO people that get thin-shamed or fit-shamed or anything similar are typically being attacked over something that they worked hard to accomplish, and that's actually pretty cruel in its own right. Calling a white dude a cracker, well, hey, I was born this way. But you're right that the response to both is generally "yeah, and?"
  13. I think we all know the answer to that...and if there's any confusion, just look at the reaction to Bob McNair when he mistakenly said "inmates running the prison" instead of "inmates running the asylum". Dude mis-stated a common colloquialism and it turned into a racially-charged controversy. But again, that's because the term carries with it the weight of a few hundred years of discrimination. You can't ignore that. Same...though sometimes I hear it in the voice of Bernie Mack from Ocean's 11.
  14. Of course it's racist, but what I think many folks are saying is that the term doesn't carry with it the weight of a few hundred years of tangible discrimination, and so it's not generally viewed as being that bad (rightly or wrongly).
  15. Really depends on the person and role. Hauschka was a captain in his first season here, and last year Taiwan Jones was a ST captain as a new player as well.
  16. Wow...I was almost certain that Beasley or Morse would be a captain alongside Allen.
  17. I would both (a) acknowledge that it's a racist comment and (b) not be bothered in the least by it. Yep, I'm a white dude...that's your problem if you don't like it. So I guess, no, you're not alone in the least
  18. Guys I know I like: Jerry Jeudy - Alabama CeeDee Lamb - Oklahoma Henry Ruggs - Alabama Tee Higgins - Clemson Guys I'm not as excited about that everyone else seems to like: Tylan Wallace - Oklahoma State Jalen Reager - TCU A lot of people are all over Colorado's Laviska Shenault, and I'm not quite there yet. To me, he's Sammy Watkins-lite. His build and skillset is eerily similar to Sammy, and--like Sammy after his sophomore year--hasn't quite shown that he can run routes. He's mostly been a get-the-ball-in-his-hands guy. Of course, he could go out as a JR and show (like Sammy) that he can run the route tree and make future NFL DBs look silly in the process, in which case he's instantly become one of my top 4 WRs.
  19. Can't extend Wallace or Foster either
  20. And I'm actually fine with that opinion...I myself knew that it would be taking a serious chance. I simply felt that the relatively low investment capital would be worth it. Then came the new contract demands, then the rest of it...
  21. This is hilarious how many people "knew" this would happen when he caused zero problems for the previous 9 seasons and was an all-pro for 4 consecutive seasons.
  22. he's lead the NFL in receptions, yards, or TDs in 4 of the last 5 seasons. In terms of putting up numbers and consistency, it's not even a debate; he's been the best.
