  1. That's a fair argument. However, couldn't such buddy-buddying be curbed simply by not allowing the replay official(s) to go nameless? I would think there would be more pressure on an official's reputation with not just the league offices, but also in the world of public opinion, than there would be to please his coworkers. Especially in a world these days where an official's name becomes known with simply one or two highly visible tweets.
  2. Wow, it took 3 full pages before somebody finally made a stale, unoriginal, unfunny play on words regarding J.P. Losman's name. That's got to be a record of some sort. Thanks for picking up the slack, Stenbar. JP Losman shaves his pubes into the shape of a handlebar mustache.
  3. Posts like this make me question the general intelligence of this entire forum. This is literally the dumbest suggestion I've seen on this board, and that's seriously saying something. I don't even know where to begin...
  4. Mine came in the mail today. Now all I have to do is get married to a woman who will put up with this thing, buy a house with a reasonable room to hang this up, and find an hour to paste it to the wall.
  5. All of these other attempted nicknames suck. Cheddar Chandler, it is...
  6. Scott "Cheddar" Chandler. Don't ask any questions, that's just his nickname now. Go forth, use it. Go Bills.
  7. I think I called this injury when it was reported his Achilles was "flaring up". He'll never again play as a Bill and I'd kinda be surprised if we see him start another game in the league again. Why are some people so down about this? He never contributed anything to the team and all he was doing was depriving guys of playing time that have some real potential (Moats). I'm excited to see what the young guys on the roster can do when plugged into the game plan full time.
  8. Totally agree. This defense as it stands right now is just not getting it done.
  9. NY Giants L Sun. Oct. 23 BYE WASHINGTON* W NY JETS L at Dallas W at Miami L *Bad Loss at NY Jets W *Good Win TENNESSEE L at San Diego L MIAMI W DENVER W at New England L * 9-6 headed into a showdown at New England. Good luck with that. If Buffalo wants a shot at the playoffs, they'll need to somehow get 10 wins before headed to New England. *The New England game might be a tough call and depends on how the Pats end up at the end of the regular season. If they have clinched the AFC, which is entirely possible, the week prior, then Buffalo might not see Brady and Welker the entire game. Still, I get the feeling that Hoody will be out for blood no matter what the situation is against the Bills.
  10. This is so frustrating. Schefter's segment that he mentioned this possibility was "Trades that should happen...but won't". This isn't even a rumor! Stop!
  11. Giants win, 24-23. Defense looks better but big yards given up by special teams at bad times. Offense plays well and we're still optimistic headed into the bye week at 4-2.
  12. I think we're stressing out too much over a player who is averaging .8 tackles per game... I'm more worried about who they'll use twice a game to replace him (I'm not really that worried).
  13. This thread would be infinitely more useful if somebody could recall the rest of Cowherd's "list".
  14. To hell with the holding non-calls, that's been an issue forever. What I couldn't believe was how poorly the on-field calls were that ended up being reversed. In the first quarter the placement of the ball on an Eagles completion was a joke. I know ball placement is never an exact science, but the line judge couldn't have had a better view of the play and he was way off. Even worse was the Vick fumble call in the second half. The replay showed a camera angled that was directly over the field official's shoulder. Vick had all but one limb on the ground when the ball squeaked out. Everybody in the stadium probably knew it.
  15. I like T.O., but he is the complete opposite of what this team is trying to accomplish. If he's not signed by December, maybe give him a look to give us that extra push into the playoffs. But we're winning right now so I don't think his services are needed.
  16. I was thinking more along the lines of getting into something else of Vick's: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=CEhk5N32Tec#t=45s
  17. What? How would you even know? Brady has always had one of the most experienced lines in the league. There are 3 pro bowlers currently on that line. Brady's a great quarterback who has always had all day to throw. Vick has considerably less time in the pocket and is still making plays. Same goes for Peyton Manning if you want to use "Peyton Manning, Anyone?" for your next answer.
  18. Since when? This doesn't make it any more true. In fact, it probably hurts your case. But regardless of how legitimate their line may be, my point was that if there's one QB in the league that is affected the least by poor line play, it's Vick, and that's not even close.
