Conspiracy theory regarding the Bills
May Day 10 replied to billsfan89's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
the Bills are walking the correcct path at this time. they are not going to be very good for the next 1, probably 2 seasons. But they will stock up on linemen and linebackers in this draft. Next year we will take Locker or another top QB and probably a WR or 2. at tht point the FAs will be brought in to complement the established core. -
Sal P says the Bills don't want Vick

Well, Vick is getting his chance in the NFL and life, and he will not be playing for the Bills, so everybody wins. -
Why are We Looking at Players from Losing Teams
May Day 10 replied to box0life's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
this season and likely next season will be a joke. We will see a collection of crap players as stopgaps while the core is built through the draft and maybe a couple existing "gems" that Nix, Whaley, and maybe Gailey pick out for the long term. Think the 96, or 02-04 Sabres. They need to reload and I dont think that any vet players we see signed now will really figure in the REAL future plans this team has. Once the core takes shape, then they should go for the Greers and etc of the Free Agents. It sucks, but this is what needs to happen. Too much rotting on this team the past 10 years. -
Is Anybody Getting Season Tickets This Year?
May Day 10 replied to box0life's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I decided to keep mine. Im not watching every day for signings, etc because I know it would be a mistake to try to build a winner and look for stopgaps (like they have for almost 15 years). I realize the best thing is for the team to purge and take 2 steps back and rebuild. The team on the field needs to hit rock bottom before it rises. Im cool with that, and I am cool with the 2-14 season we may face... I am in Philly most of the time and try to make it to 4 games of the season normally. Its only like $250. I like the location of my seats and would nearly be irreplaceable if I lapsed. What the hell. -
What QBs will or may be in the 2011 Draft?
May Day 10 replied to May Day 10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
oh yeah, I forgot about Mallett. Maybe a mid-major QB or 2 will emerge next season. -
Has anyone looked this far ahead yet? If the Bills share the school of thought that the lines should be drafted for first... and a 3-4 defense needs to be constructed, the Bills likely will not obtain their QB this year. There is a very good chance the Bills will take a step back this season in an attempt to correctly purge, rebuild, and grow. This could land a very high pick in 2011. Is there any possibilities out there this early? Locker?

2011 Pro Bowl back to Hawaii with a twist
May Day 10 replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Name All NFC and All AFC teams and maybe 2nd teams. Make an event the week before the super bowl that is a fun event, attended by people, but mainly made for TV... like a skills competition. Lace the events with well-produced retrospectives on the season and look aheads to the Super Bowl. -
what would it take other than our 1st and lil Donte? 3rd?

I think this time they got it right

I havent seen a move yet that has really improved anything (maybe the firing of Guy). Just a lot of things that you can spin into possibly being a positive thing if you use your imagination. -
Per PFT, 'Skins going after Peppers and Sproles
May Day 10 replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No way. Didnt the NHL set the record for moves at the deadline last season and/or the season before? We also just saw some GIGANTIC trades go down last month. Kovalchuk got dealt to New Jersey for crying out loud, what bigger trade to make a team a contender do you want? The cap is the BEST thing to happen to the NHL. Te league was about to go caput. Stars would end up on one of about 5 teams. Now all teams can afford to have stars and teams like the Rangers and Leafs are "stuck" with being held responsible for bad moves and building a team wisely. I cant think of one reason the NHL cap could be considered a bad thing. -
NFL Comp Committee to examine Sudden Death Rule

I see they are thinking of changing it for the playoffs only. That would be a nice start. Each team gets a possession and I am happy. -

It is unbelievable to me. All my friends in WNY are glued to these games. Im in Philly and some of my coworkers watch the games closely. There must be parts of the country that is completely oblivious to hockey. I cant figure out how so many people get more enjoyment out of the Pro Bowl or Ice Dancing than they do the US/Canada game. -

Are people really arguing that the US > Canada in terms of hockey? Not even close. Their olympic team is a lot better. The US stole a preliminary round game... which is great for US hockey fans. Unfortunately, then game was watched by less people than the NFL Pro Bowl. In Canada, the game broke viewing records. It would be enjoyable if the US can beat Finland, and then Canada/Slovakia, -

haha. thats funny. re: Kid with flag. but yeah, I cant stand that crap. Its so insulting. "all canadians should not be allowed to come to the stadium". "People from Buffalo/US are all arrogant, fat, and stupid". We're just fat and stupid. Only some of us are arrogant. I wish all the citizens on both sides of the border realized how awesome of a thing we have. I think Canadians... especially those in Ontario and Quebec, hold a resentment towards the US, especially due to the Bush years and the US's military might and squandering of military lives. Perhaps without the US military might, Canada may not be able to exist as it is. I root for Canada in all things once the US is eliminated. In the dark days of Tkachuk, Roenick, Hull, etc I would root for Canada over the U.S. -

I sat in front of these ignoramouses at the opening Buffalo/Montreal game this season. During the US National Anthem for some reason they were saying "ignorance is bliss" and they were laughing about the Challenger Disaster. During the game they were ragging on the people of Buffalo for being really dumb. The blooper reel they show on the jumbotron they assumed were all people from Buffalo. The one kept telling the other one to watch "Idiocracy" and then call him so they can laugh "for hours" about it. They were the biggest losers in the world. The only Montreal fans there alone and not in a boisterous group.... and they also probably lived about 2 minutes over the Peace Bridge. Being subjected to that for 3 hours soured me on all of Canada for awhile. I have noticed this "holier than thou" crap building for the past 8 years... it is BS and Canadians need to stop. Me, and most others from Buffalo think very highly of Canada and would never go up there and disrespect Canadians as they come here to do. Essentially, the laces are very similar and our fates are tied to one another. -

Its like when people always say they wonder why the regular season cant match the playoffs' intensity. You put a Stanley Cup or Gold Medals on the line and these millionaires suddenly put the paychecks out of mind. Out of all major professional team sports, I think if you get players to want to win that much... nothing comes close to hockey. -
Finland and the Czechs shouldnt be underestimated, especially Finland. But yeah, Sweden, Canada, and Russia could potentially lay a whuppin on the US in any given game.
-
that is true. Canada, Russia, and Sweden all have to go through each other. US's main obstacles to the Gold Medal game are the Czechs and Fins. They will start off playing the winner of Belarus/Switzerland

looks like the us will play the winner of Belarus/Switzerland. Then likely play the Czech or Fins to get into the Gold Medal Game. Sweden, Russia, and Canada all have to go through each other. Only 1 of them can play for gold.
