I lived in Eastern Carolina for 16 years. This storm still has a long way to go before it threatens the coast. Once it gets closer the experts will have a better sense where it is going. Charlotte is a long way inland and most likely wont stop a game. That being said, if it does, the game would be played somewhere other than Buffalo. There is numerous College stadiums within 200 miles along with NFL stadiums as well. Amen, ive been through many in NC and Pensacola. I still own a home in NC. Hurricanes are terrible in every sense- see Houston as a recent example.

Why would we want to pay big money for a doesnt belong in the NFL QB? Sure, lets trade one screwed up contract for another? Really? Dude, listen to yourself. Do you realize the draft stock we have next year? Our QB will be had in the draft or trading for one. Peterman will be the number 2 (or number 1 if we get a rookie and he sits) and TT will be out of here cuz he sucks. Can I make it any simplier for you? Doing a BO trade/grab would be the dumbest thing a team could do.

My work isnt a league- regardless I think its also tradition to do so and by playing it shows they support our troops and what America stands for. Personally, I dont care if someone takes a knee and I served 21 years in the Marines. I feel I was protecting others to excercise their rights. I do, however, believe some of it has gotten out of hand but thats another topic entirely.

An American game on American soil with 98 percent American players and owners making money off of American fans- seems logical to me.

Even if he was traded and the new team was willing to accept his contract it would still be a cap hit? That, my friend, is a serious buzzkill!!!

I am not knowledgeable enough on all the ins and outs of NFL contracts. Cant that all be renegotiated? Do you think everyone has their breaking point? What I mean is if he continues to be disciplined for poor conduct do you think maybe then he would come to the bargaining table?

I was going to start a new topic but I dont want to upset the mods/folks on here. These are my thoughts on how to tackle (no pun intended) the Dareus situation. This young man refuses to grow up and has major discipline issues- it has been evident over the years as trends never lie and his latest interview showed how disrespectful and smug he is. He is also dumber than a box of rocks. If it were up to me everytime from here on out he messes up you discipline him. Dareus will eventually grow tired of it and want out. At this point we have leverage to renegotiate a new contract. Once a new contract is in place offload him for the best value possible wether thats draft picks, veteran players or a combination of both. Im sure this seems simple to most but it is most likely the only way out of this mess. Sure, he is our best defensive player in the minds of many but do we need the headache anymore?
