  1. I have never in my Bills life of 50 years been put in this predicament. I am a diehard fan. I have no problems with Colin's passion. My problem is with the "brilliant" owners not nipping this in the bud and then allowing it to fester. Disrespecting the fan base by the very players who the fan base supports to me is incredibly callous especially when done during a time honored pregame ritual. I hope I am not going to regret paying several thousands for seasons tix this year but we will see. I will wait to see how this plays out. I expect there to be fines and I hope they will be incrementally severe because if they are not it will be a joke. I truly believe this will be over by Week 4 and I will stay. If all hell breaks loose and there is mass protests by the Bills players (I don't really care as much what happens in San Fran or elsewhere) it will cost me a lot of money because I won't respect a team or players that doesn't respect me, my Bills passion or my dollars.
  2. If you are a patriot you are a patriot. I am happy you are a patriot as I am. It is a matter of priorities. I fall on the side of the fan base that places patriotism over team loyalty. You must be on the other side. More power to you. We are both fans, we are both patriots. but you called me "narrowminded" and "self important" which by every definition is name calling and unnecessary.
  3. When your argument is weak you turn to name calling as usual. Not at all. If you place team loyalty ahead of patriotism that is fine. Do your thing. I place patriotism ahead of team loyalty and that informs my decisions. I will also say that many days when my son was under fire in Afghanistan and clearing villages of the Taliban and hearing one false report that he was wounded so Colin could disrespect that also informs my decisions. The constant worry a father has when his son is under fire tends to affect what my priorities are. I sense you have done nothing in your life to earn the right to disrespect those who have fought your battles so you can respond in this fashion.
  4. Thanks for your lecture. Let’s be clear. I have no doubt that the players may have a legal right to kneel. When Colin Kaepernick did his thing in 2016 the owners could have quietly called Colin in and told him, “Hey, you are an employee of the San Francisco 49ers. We applaud your passion about your cause. But, you cannot promote your agenda by calling attention to yourself during a time of reverence that has been set aside for decades for our national anthem and flag wearing the corporate uniform and representing the San Francisco 49ers. We appreciate you however, and will find an appropriate venue for your protest. Do you know Colin that there are tens of thousands of fans here and across the US who view your protest as being disrespectful to our national anthem and flag? Is it fair for you to disrespect them to promote your personal agenda? Are you aware of the financial burden you could create when fans who have supported you and the team for decades stop supporting you and the team by cancelling their premium TV subscriptions and stop buying team apparel and sponsored products and stop coming to games? Many view your protest as being disrespectful to the men and women who have shed their blood to earn and defend your freedom to protest? Do you know many in attendance have served or have sons and daughters right now in harms way who view your actions as disrespectful to their sacrifices? The 49ers obviously did not do that. The NFL obviously did not do that. The Buffalo Bills obviously did not do that with their players. Colin was either not reflective of what his actions might cause or worse just didn’t give a damn. When the 49ers came to Buffalo in 2016 there was raucous boos when he entered the stadium. When he knelt, almost the entire stadium erupted in chants of USA USA USA! Did our Terry and Kim not hear that? Did our players not hear that? Did they not hear the stand taken for patriotism? Were they deaf? Was Sean McDermott not informed of patriotic fan base? Surely they heard or chose not to hear what might happen to many thousands of Bills fans whose love of the team was now superseded by their disgust for this spectacle and the owners not dealing with it months before. I love Terry and Kim but thought ridiculous their argument that the NFL was “under attack” by President Trump and those disgusted with the league’s non action. NO, Terry and Kim YOU WERE DEAF to a large percentage of your fan base. Deaf to the demographics of Buffalo. Just plain DEAF and it cost you in your pocketbooks. Did our players not hear the chant? Did they not know that many loyal Bills fans would give up their loyalty in disgust? Did they care? Were they as respectful to their fans as their fans have been to them? Of course not. They chose to call attention to themselves. They chose to end a decades old time of reverence for the national anthem. They went from heroes to millionaire self-serving chumps to many including myself. I did give up my Sunday Ticket. I did refuse to watch their games. I refused to buy any more Bills apparel. I am a diehard Bills fan since the days of Jack Kemp, Cookie Gilcrist and the “The Rockpile”. I have cheered my organization through the rough times to the present. Hundreds of Bills players have been my heroes. I have sung the “Shout” song hundreds of times. This is a new season. I am back. It is my hope that the lunkheaded millionaire owners have finally discovered what might happen when they callously allow disrespect for their patriotic paying fans. Perhaps they have all bought hearing aids to help them hear. Perhaps their low TV ratings were a result of deafness. Perhaps Terry and Kim have learned a valuable lesson when they allow their passionate fan base to be disrespected. In any event, I am back. I bought season tickets again. I bought a Josh Allen jersey. I am hoping to spend a long season as a diehard fan again. But, make no mistake, if the Pegulas or the NFL, or Buffalo Bills players are still intent on disrespecting that part of their fan base who place patriotism, and honor ahead of their loyalty to the team, I will surely walk again, get rid of my tickets, burn my Josh Allen jersey and say to myself, “Get me once, shame on you, get me twice, shame on me.”
  5. I do appreciate your post. I would only say that when you say "WE fight for the freedom" are you including yourself? Have you personally fought for our freedom by serving in the armed forces or are you another who CLAIMS that freedom as a birthright secured by the blood of others who serve now or have shed their blood in the past to secure that freedom for you? It is always easier to claim a Supreme Court ruling as a right when you did not serve or shed blood yourself. As long as some else has fought the fight you are eager to claim that freedom. I have not personally fought to preserve your freedom or your Supreme Court gained rights but people also have a right to bigotry, racism, thoughtlessness, and some people here go out of their way to claim all of those rights.
  6. Resorting to name calling is the typical route to go when you don't have a valid argument. Discrediting people by name calling is your M.O. Social justice should have its platform but not at the expense of dishonoring the National Anthem and Flag and not at the expense of a fan crowd who spent hundreds to watch a football game. Were you at the 49ers vs. Bills game last year? What did many thousands of fans chant when Kaepernic did his thing tell you about how they felt about his cause?
  7. Started going to "The Rockpile" in my teens and watched Jack Kemp, Elberbert Dubenion, and can name most of the AFL Bills champion teams in '64 and '65. Look up "The Rockpile" in Bill's Lore which will tell you how long I have been a Bill's fan. You are welcome to believe anything you want but calling me a liar is laughable. Mine is the anthem protest. Clear a village in Iraq of ISIS. Climb the mountains in Afghanistan. Put your life on the line for your country... or respect the national anthem and flag of those who do. If you have done NOTHING in your life to secure the freedom of dishonoring the flag and anthem, then simply respect it. Try doing the kneeling thing in North Korea.
  8. You are absolutely confused and I can understand your confusion. You are often confused IMO and many times missing the point as you are here.
  9. Nothing, nada, zilch, zero........I did watch the NFL Draft though.... it wasn't dedication.... it was disgust that ownership who could have solved this problem a year earlier but chose to allow this to fester and explode and let it happen... Were you at the 49ers game at Buffalo when Kaepernic came on the field and did you see what 60,000 fans did to express their opinion then?
  10. After being a diehard Bills fan for many years--when the Bills players took a knee last year I immediately called Direct TV and cancelled my Sunday Ticket and didn't attend or watch another Bills game last year. I have no interest in players (most of whom have done "nothing" in their life to earn the right to disrespect the flag and anthem provided by the blood shed for that freedom) use the stage to protest anything. I am one of those who hurt the NFL business in my disgust by stopping my payments for fan gear, tickets, etc. I am hoping the protests end so I can return to paying my hundreds of dollars this year to the Buffalo Bill coffers. If they adopt the Jets owner's lead they will save me a lot of money again this year. Whats next? So when 1500 players want to protest 1500 different social causes you want the NFL ownership to support ALL of those Player's causes too, and shove that down a $200.00 ticket payer 10 times? Provide them another venue if you wish but not one I am paying hundreds to watch.
  11. Yea that is surely the problem. Diminish the new guys....promote the old guys...always have to blame someone else who is not you.
  12. So just post the TOP 10 List of reporters here and see if that helps!
  13. Garbage in = Garbage out... So what exactly is the difference in % from Watson 38.8 and Allen 37.7 even if you believe their garbage? 1.1%? Wow that is huuuuugggeeeee! LOL.
  14. Irrelevant analyst speaking on the Irrelevant and Mouth radio show? How could anything that anyone of them say mean anything?
  15. We didn't do anything. You did by bringing this up. Seriously?
  16. "CONVENTIONAL" = Like everyone else's wisdom. Don't have an "original" thought wisdom. Someone else's wisdom. You need to step out and think for yourself.
  17. If you thought the Bills would draft Josh Rosen please don't vote. You are obviously out of touch with what the new "Bills Culture" and "Bills New DNA" is according to Beane and McDermott. You are living in your "conventional wisdom" world and are no doubt proud of it. Allen IS Buffalo as Beane has clearly said although you refused to listen. I love Peterman but now love Allen more. He is MORE than a conventional talent for your conventional thinking. It WILL be Allen backed up by Peterman..........
  18. In reality there were only two QBs who met the "Bills DNA" and "Culture fit" that Beane and McDermott have been saying since Day 1 and that was Allen or Darnold. Anyone who was a Rosen fan just wasn't listening to what the Bills brain trust have been saying all along and were out of step with their thinking.
  19. Calling Nathan Peterman "Pick Six" would be like me calling you "Brainless"
  20. I am happy NOT to have them anymore. Besides if they came back Terry and Kim would probably provide them with a venue to air their political agendas and kneel during the anthem as they did with their other employees. No lets not give Terry and Kim another opportunity to aggravate many long time paying patriotic fans again
  21. Lets see...... Beane and McDermott have repeatedly stated they wanted to bring players in who have the right DNA and culture. So Dez has zero of any of that..... so why don't ppl open their ears? Seriously....
  22. Having recently served for over 18 months on a Grand Jury and having heard dozens of cases. . . while I don't know what happened in this event, I do know that the Grand Jury would not have returned and indictment unless there was overwhelming probable cause to prosecute.
  23. Nobody wants to listen to Beane and McDermott when they say they want to bring in players with their DNA and fit. So DEZ fits their DNA? Seriously ppl.... open your ears.. laughable. Just like ppl wanting Rosen over Allen.... right DNA? laughable
  24. Absolutely a fan. He has the DNA for the Buffalo Bills. Josh Rosen did NOT have the DNA and its not at all surprising he was not taken.
