The conversation wasn’t 2 firsts. It was 2 firsts, a 2nd, and 4th and a 6th. And then you said it may be more than that. I never said he wouldn’t get 2 firsts. I said he wouldn’t get all of that, especially for a guy who needs surgery. And everyone scoffed at what the Bears gave up for the Mack trade.

Sorry, I meant rating not QBR. I had not checked QBR. Lamar has a 118 QB Rating right now. I just fixed it
-
There is no doubt that if the season ended today Lamar would win it. But thats also coming fresh off a 5 TD game. I mean he is first in rating, 2nd in QBR, 2nd in TD's, and 5th in Yards all on a run first team to boot. Allen looked terrible in prime time against Lamar, looked even worse the next week in maybe the worst game of his career against Houston, was solid against the Jets and struggled early against the Titans before getting on track later in the game. For Allen to win it now, he is going to have to go on an impressive run and the Ravens are going to need to lose another game or two.
-
Darnold is 5th in TD's and about to get Hockenson now too as another weapon and he is 7th in QBR. Both stats are significantly better than Stafford this year and he is a fraction of the cost, not to mention the draft pick compensation cost too. Not sure why the Vikings would do this, I mean they have 1 loss right now.

Man I hope we can land Budda Baker
-
We would benefit more to make a big move on defense and get a play maker there at this point than add another WR IMO. Nothing against adding another WR, but I think our offense is in good shape right now but our defense could use another playmaker. I would love to see Budda Baker or someone up front.

2 firsts, a 2nd, a 4th and a 6th may not be enough for a guy who needs surgery this offseason who isn't a QB? And you think it may not be enough? Not only will he not go for more than that, but even that much is far fetched. If the Browns fleece someone for that, then kudos to them. Question...can you think of another in season trade for a vet that netted that much compensation? I honestly can't, doesn't mean it hasn't happened, but I can't think of any non QB going for that much in trade during a season. People do over estimate trade values all the time though.

So are there any legit rumors/links between the Bills and any specific players ahead of trade deadline? Or is this all everyone just throwing names out they hope we would look into?
-
Are you trying to trade for Justin Herbert? This is insane. Not a player in the NFL worth this other than maybe a few QBs.

Yeah is amazing watching them learn new things every day. As tiring as it is, still goes way too fast. Trying to cherish every moment we can! So thanks, thats good advice!

KC vs. Buffalo's record a microcosm of the Allen/Mahomes debate

Haha, yeah it’s a new level of tired, it it’s actually our 17 month old toddler wearing us down the most. It’s like living with a feral animal that gets stronger, smarter, faster, etc every hour of each day haha.

Yeah they need to figure out these slow starts, it's happening too often. And I can't even blame it all on Brady either as Allen was just off early in this game, Cooper killed a drive on his firs target with the drop, and the OL got more dumb early penalties. We gotta clean up these slow and poor starts on both sides of the ball, we don't to make it a habit of going down multiple scores early come playoff time.

Keeping it in perspective, Bills win percentage
Alphadawg7 replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall
We should have beat Houston, we self inflicted that one. Ravens were just one of those games where we came out flat in a hostile environment in what was almost a must win situation for the Ravens. Our injuries on Defense didn't help either, but the whole team was just flat that game. I think we would beat both in a rematch. But Bills won't be taken seriously until we notch impressive wins against quality opponents. -
Hahaha yeah, I used it once earlier this year in a review Week 2 actually
-
What a turn around after the flat and slow start Everyone eats is gonna be even better now with more talent out there eating Defensive adjustments for the 2nd half continue to be impressive - so kudos Babich Offensive line controlled the LOS once we got out of our own way Nice bounce back by Allen after he again started poorly and was off early in the game Total team win - all 3 phases played well overall by end of the game Special teams deserves a shout out - but Bass still makes me nervous anytime he kicks Underperforming on both sides of the ball early in games is something they need to fix asap Carter can ball Keon continues to impress and the addition of Cooper will only further help his development . . . Perfect comp % again to Shakir - Coopers presence and Keons development will only make Shakir more dangerous Amari trade was another win for Beane, impressive debut on 4 days to learn the offense Running back room is amongst the best in the league right now Taron being back has been a huge lift to the defense Turnovers? What turnovers? You must be talking about Mahomes Will Beane make any more moves before the deadline? Chatter is he may not be done... Our time to go all in should be now...so much parity in the league this year...Get'er Done Beane! GO BILLS!!!

Keon Coleman 5th In Rookie Receiving Yards
Alphadawg7 replied to iwishitwerecolder's topic in The Stadium Wall
And consider this too...Keon only had 1 catch over weeks 2 and 3 (for a TD week 3) because week 2 it was the Cook show and our offense chewed clock the 2nd half where Allen only threw for like 130 yards and week 3 where Keon was benched 1st quarter for being late and then only really played the 2nd quarter as again the offense just chewed clock second half. Not to mention, the offense had a slow start week 1 where Allen only had 2 pass attempts with around 2 min left in the first half. Had those first 3 weeks been games where we were really throwing all 4 quarters and Keon was involved in all 4 each week not having to miss one, he would be probably closer or past 25 rec and approaching 500 yards. -
the Daboll/Schoen regime - on the brink, it seems

And if they get fired this offseason, that deal would have been just long enough to cost them their jobs. -
the Daboll/Schoen regime - on the brink, it seems
Alphadawg7 replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah the moment that news broke I was actually stunned, I mean that was a franchise choking move, the kind that ends regimes early. I see a similar fate lying in Miami soon too with all the poor personnel and cap decisions they have made the past 2 seasons. -
Agreed...And its earned grace if we are being fair to Mahomes...its not like he won those SB's in the fashion of someone like Trent Dilfer or something. Dude won it all last year on one leg with a weak group of weapons. While I think Allen deserves to be right there with him, Mahomes has earned his leeway on the field. Now...if you want to know what separates Allen and Mahomes...well to me that is Chris Jones. Mahomes can afford more mistakes than Allen because KC's doesn't rely solely on Mahomes to close out games even though Mahomes almost always delivers when they do need him to close out a game. In Buffalo, how many times has Allen give the D a lead late and we still lost?

the Daboll/Schoen regime - on the brink, it seems
Alphadawg7 replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Daboll drove me nuts here, I couldn't wait for him to leave. He was allergic to running the football, would call plays like he was more interested in being seen as some sort of guru or genius rather than making good football decisions, and was incredibly stubborn in sticking to what he wanted. Last year he is on the road back in Buffalo for the first time, on the goalline with the best RB in football and the only talented player on their entire offense. He has literally time for one play to win the game needing the TD. His starting QB is out. Tyrod, who isn't known for seeing the field and passing, is his backup QB. What does he do...drops Tyrod back taking away his legs (TT best asset) and throwing over the trenches instead of just hading the ball off to their best player to get one yard against a team notorious for not being good at stopping the run. That is Daboll in a nut shell...like throwing a 30 yard wheel route on 4th and short to a FB who barely plays when your QB is Josh Allen. Just stupid stuff all the time. So, its not a surprise to me to see this failing in NY personally. I think the bigger surprise for me is how bad Schoen has been. I really thought he would have taken more away from learning under Beane, but the moment he decided to pay Daniel Jones they put the death nail in their tenure there. It cost them Barkley, but more importantly, it cost them a chance to rebuild and buy themselves some time during the rebuild where they didn't need to win right away. Instead, they go and give all this money to a weak QB who not only isn't very good but may be more fragile than Tua and then spend big on Burns? Like GM 101...you got a clean slate, clean house and rebuild...tweaking and failing will get you fired fast. Rebuilding gets you time and a better shot a sustained success.- 367 replies

Xavier Worthy: So far, not much more than a gadget guy
Alphadawg7 replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not sure Pickens is the guy he should watch film on, he has a poor work ethic, attitude and runs lazy and sloppy routes if he doesn't think he is getting the ball. But also...Pickens is in his 3rd season now...Coleman will continue to develop in all areas as he gets more reps and targets on the field. -

His life flashed before his eyes on that one and he was dazed on the bench...I didn't know if he would even make it back in the game after they showed his so distraught on the bench after that hit. I mean his face had a look on it like he just got hit by a car
