  1. Oh agreed. I think what I said is that he doesn't make the "big" mistake, and with a Steelers model of allowing teams to move but clamping down on points and winning ugly, not making the big mistake while playing the AFC South and an injured AFC North can win you games. But if the Bills get up two scores on them, I will not be shocked if mistakes start happening.
  2. Wow. I am a bit surprised about Vrabel. Considering the QBs he was given to work with he propped up the Titans for longer than most. It did not help when they traded away AJ Brown, who then went to the Super Bowl with the Eagles. Our new DC? A brief look says he loves zone
  3. I mean, it's not like they have an overwhelming overabundance of other options. Ruldolph has not made big mistakes in his three week run. Granted, that was to a down and out Bengals, a Seahawks team that got gashed in the run game, and the Ravens backups. I predict a lot of disguised coverages and single deep safety.
  4. He's definitely earned a place in the gameplan, though now teams will be accounting for him. His YAC is phenomenal
  5. Yup. And I realized that I was inappropriate. Again, my apologies.
  6. I agree with you in principle, but they did face objectively worse competition. Maybe it would have helped them fluke into a Wild Card Round beatdown Very much. The system Brady was part of with Burrow ran heavy 3 WR IIRC. The biggest change hasn't been with the structure, or even with the types of plays called so much as a better feel for the situation in calling them. It's really a question whether next season is adding wrinkles to what was in place or starting over from scratch
  7. I mean, there's a loooooong list of reasons why Florida deeps digging themselves deeper, but I'll keep it over to PPP.
  8. We are at the very edge of when weather forecasting is anywhere close to accurate. Let's not get too hung up.
  9. I'm a little shocked to hear of only 2 firings yesterday. I know a lot of triggers were pulled early, but I was expecting more.
  10. I agree with the concept of getting someone to help prep the defense so McDermott can keep on the broader picture during the week, but his defense is pretty much opposite of what we run.
  11. That was the issue before too. Obviously I have to put some responsibility on Josh, but Gabe seemingly cannot grasp the response to a Cover 0 scenario which is hit your mark and turn around. They are sending the house. You have to know it can be coming, you can't play footsie with your breaks. I don't love where Josh put it, but the odds he puts it there are lower if Gabe does his job.
  12. Honestly yes. I am not as critical of Von's play as some others (and the numbers make it highly likely he gets a full offseason to rehab to play for his contract) but yes, I firmly believe that the Bills are going to focus on shutting down the run. The highest yard total the Steelers had this year was 290 against the Bengals a few weeks ago. I believe in the ability to get coverage sacks. If we make the Steelers have to put their faith is Mason Rudolph chucking it, I feel good about our chances.
  13. Removing this comment. I went for a quick jab at a place I don't like and think is wrongheaded. Now that I've cooled down I realize this wasn't the time or the place. I apologize and extend my condolences to the family.
  14. They do have a point with the last one, but it's harder than it sounds. A big reason why those numbers are there are because our pass D is so good. YPC is high but yards allowed is middle of the pack. Yeah, you can run on the Bills. But are you prepared to settle for field goals and that one tackle for loss can soon your drive?
  15. I loved that Kincaid Cover 0 beater
  16. I mean I would say that was some excellent self awareness but then I realized who we were talking about.
  17. I definitely think Sherfield earned more playing time, for whatever chance that is. Between the heads up thinking on the TD and an actual cut on a route over the middle he stood out more than once even to a layman
  18. I set myself up to be disappointed but man the entire media report I'm seeing is "The Turnovers" and saying what the Dolphins did wrong.
  19. There is a line between being worried and taking the Steelers seriously. The Bills should handle business, but if they slack they'll be in trouble. Tomlin teams aren't going to lie down and die.
  20. how may times do we complain when the ball gets ripped out after forward progress stops?
  21. I haven't been able to check out the show reports due to constant narc presence at work today. Any good stuff?
  22. To your point, I am pretty sure they activated the 5th year option https://overthecap.com/player/tua-tagovailoa/8745 The sticking point is that because they drafted him so high, the option works out to a $23 million hit. The Dolphins are about as cap strapped as we are, but we can lop off ~$20 M easy if we kick the can down the road on Josh who we have a reliable idea is going to on the team a while. I don't think the Dolphins can ask for a price cut on a 5th year option, so the only way they could lower that hit is by extending him. They have other sources they can squeeze from. but with a lot of departing free agents there's a good chance the talent around Tua is worse next year not better.
  23. That does seem to be his ultimate path. He can run north-south, but he seems best when he can have half a step to identify a crease or lane and then charge.
  24. I remember thinking about that as in the 2nd half he kept coming to the sideline when they really needed him. If he was in pain, then that might be partially behind is drops/letting the ball get punched out. I mean, it would be delicious karma.
