Who is both?
Anyway, Marrone did some dumb things (like challenging a fumble that we clearly did not recover) and the discipline of the team was terrible (way too many stupid penalites), but I think there was plenty of blame to go around.
Against Cam that is my biggest concern. We looked terrible in the preseason against running QBs, and yesterday there were several instances of failed contain, which when compounded by missed tackles usually leads to a bad day on defense.
My wife has a coughing fit anytime I have to make some vinegar brine (e.g. for Sauerbraten.) I still do it (if I can while she's out of the house for a few hours) and she forgives me 3 days later once we're eating Sauerbraten.
He did make it through waivers or he wouldn't be on a practice squad.
Edit - just reread your post and I think that's exactly what you're saying. Never mind.
This is a contract year for him, it's very unlikely he would be faking.
As to keeping on the bench (for years?) that'll show him. Get paid 8 million a year to sit.
How quickly does it take CB to get up to speed learning a new defense? Because my bet is that our # 2 is not on this team right now. Even when Gilmore gets back, it's not like McKelvin has been impressive. We need to go out and do what it takes to get the best CB available right now through trade or waivers / FA.
I'm thinking we need some variation of the 3 fat players 1 skinny / medium player from Nintendo's Ice hockey. All D Lineman with 1 or 2 linebackers mixed in.
