  1. It's fine with me if my foxhole is one less crowded. That person won't be missed. I'm mostly interested in the people who can be counted on. Whether it be a Bills player or fan. Thanks Senator. Some peeps on this board have seriously pissed me off for a while with their damn downer attitudes. Ah well, sum peeps will never find something positive to think about.
  2. I've read some crap being called on Fitz. He's playing his heart and ass off for our team. Not much more can be asked of him. Now our D needs to step up and hold up it's end. Whether it's our lack of D talent and/or DC is up for debate. But Fitz has awakened a slumbering O. It's finally coherent now and learning it's steps. Some here relish in looking for the negatives of our team and FO. We have some players on our team who give it their all no matter what the odds. They are the ones worthy of being leaders for our Bills. As fans, as people, can we say the same? Man up fans. I've been upset about our FO about some questionable calls, but it's only halfway thru the season and I'm giving Nix and Gailey time to prove themselves. (I'm assuming Nix has the damn Guts and Balls to tell Ralph to keep out of their team calls for the time being). Seriously if i was in a foxhole in rl, I would only want about 20% of you in it with me. Man up fans and quit being such babies. We all want our Bills to get better, we all want our FO to actually do something, we all want Ralph to keeps his hands off, but some of your damn pessimism pisses me the hell off sometimes. When I think of Buffalo Fans I think of Hard Core people who have the mindset of winning and never giving up no matter what the circumstances. I became a fan in 1987. About 18 years later I finally met my first fellow Bills fan. Being critical of the FO is fine with me. I've been there myself. In fact they've pissed me off in the past. I've been a realistic optimist. Some of you however wallow in trashing our team however you can. To you I say, prolonged pessimism breads itself. There is a certain bread of players that has the mentality to make it to the NFL. They're all extreme athletes, most have determination to succeed. Some cruise on their talent alone, most on desire to better their lives and make something of themselves. I honestly wish we all as fans had the same desire and determination to make the most of our situations. Pessimism when overdone just honestly gets OLD. I'd rather have a team built on less talented optimists than more talented pessimists. Ideally tho I'd have our team full blown built up of talented optimists. I've been pessimistic plenty about things in life, but when I see you guys as fans being so down on our team it damn well pisses me off. There are many here who's posts I thoroughly enjoy. Some guzzle koolaid, some are optimistic realists. I even try to gain some insight from the pessimistic troll. Pessimism only goes so far tho. Realism is where it's at with a big dash of optimism. Go Bills!! Go ahead naysayers, flame away. It'll just show me who's not worthy of sharing a foxhole.
  3. I voted for Ronnie, but I'll say this, Atwater was one tough SOB. Great player. I wouldn't complain one bit if we had an Atwater on our team.
  4. I agree, bring Joique back.
  5. I think someone brought this up before. I believe a severe case of turnstileitis. But ya seriously, did they even bother to make up an injury? Whatever the phantom injury is, thank goodness.
  6. Blanche might agree.
  7. Chan is working some sort of magic on Fitz. Cortez seems to be proving his worth. Keep up the good work coach Cortez. People are starting to take notice.
  8. Senator, your enthusiasm for the Bills is undying. I'm with u on the optimism. Our O is starting to click. Our D can't get any worse and can only get better. Our matches are not an automatic loss. Despite all our deficiencies, we can still compete. I think the culture of this team is starting to change. We have a chance against KC.
  9. This is cool info Edward's Arm. I was trying to figure it out myself but you saved me the effort. With that contract Die Hard wasn't exactly starving, but considering the health hazards of the game he should have been paid quite a bit more. The game sure has changed. This inflation calculator is awesome.
  10. NaPolian you are an interesting character for sure. You don't ruffle my feathers like you do others. Yet you do find ways to bring up controversy and you take a lot of heat for it. To me you are in a way... amusing I suppose. Your banter is somewhat entertaining. Will you turn into a true Troll on Halloween?
  11. If our team loses then they lose. But you can't ever ask them to lose. Thinking of losing is beyond comprehension.
  12. In that situation, if you were the coach, what would you do? Would your pregame speech to the team be "ok guys we've fought hard all season. But today I want you guys to forget what it's like to strive to win. How about we just suit up and lay an egg. Forget you guys have pride, just go out there and be their b*#ch" Realistically what would be your speech to the team NaPolian? I know ur name is a play on words. Clever name too. The real life Napoleon wouldn't ever lay back and get run over without a fight tho.
  13. I think Cornell has unofficially been put out to pasture. (he just hasn't been released yet). This could change though if Cordaro, Urbik and Wrotto go on an injury spree.
  14. Exactly. Asking players and coaches to tank games goes against the very fiber of what a winner is made of. Plus purposely losing games diminishes the development of the players. Might as well throw that year's worth of xp in the trash bin then. A true athlete's outlook is to always do his utmost to win. You can't ever ask him to do otherwise. I want the Bills to always try to win and gain experience while pursuing it.
  15. The level of heat you take for having a bad prediction probably has a lot to do with how you man up and accept you were wrong. Less excuses the better. Just man up and say you were wrong and move on. Anyone with balls will stick their neck out and make a prediction. If you're right then great. If you're wrong then accept it.
  16. Holy shiznitz bowery. You're right. Gailey must be familiar with KC. He was there after all as OC. He knows how Haley thinks. Doesn't mean it's an automatic win for us but it's a definite plus. Very interesting... hmm... But I suppose Haley also knows how Gailey thinks too. This will be an exciting game.
  17. Joe, I don't think a player like him gets his confidence hurt so easily. Perhaps getting -20 yards on 10 carries might rattle him a little bit, but his confidence will survive. I would luv to see CJ get massive yardage on screens. He needs to get better at pass blocking (will take time) so the opposing D won't automatically think it'll be a run play when he's in the backfield. I wouldn't mind him getting some successful plays in the slot too. (motion out wide from the backfield).
  18. For the most part, I usually like to read what PTR says. Fitzy will have his ups and downs as he gets better. If he has a downer of a game against KC I won't fret. Overall his play is progressing. If he has a great outing this Sunday, then... great. Raise your glass to an overall good game by our O. If our D makes the flight then that would be nice too.
  19. I hope you stick around Die Hard. Your contributions are much appreciated by many on this board. Don't let the Wonderfuls of this world deter you from letting the rest of us gain from your insight.
  20. In the preseason I predicted Fitzy would get cut because he had hit his ceiling. I was very wrong about that. Now I'm curious, under this system, with more experience, just how high is his ceiling? He's very intelligent and seems to process information on the field QUICKLY. He just needs to keep improving on his accuracy. I've been wrong before, but I don't think he'll pull a Derek Anderson next season. I keep forgetting how young he is. Fitzy's processor is to Anderson's as quad core is to the time before dual.
  21. In addition to this, said "kicker" is also making players around him better as well. Gives several positions chances to improve their game.
  22. Definitely off to a good start. Another few consecutive games of Lee and the offense as a whole progressing and our O will begin to get some real respect. Here's to a great outing against KC \~/ btw "The Myth of Lee Evans" sure sounds like a great book title.
  23. This is nifty Astro.
