  1. Thank you for the friendly post Mr. Tessler. It's been a real pleasant surprise having Corey on the team and seeing him really raising his game. I'm sure he's been spreading the word to his buddies around the league that Buffalo is turning out to be a great place to be. Go Bills!!!
  2. If Stevie is drawing double coverage, then that's fine with me. It means he's a playmaker and this will allow David Nelson and company to show what they have. This is a good opportunity for Nelson and Jones to show their skills.
  3. Things are looking promising on our O-line. We need a Johnson to stiffen up that RT spot. Also having a solid blocking TE would be great too. A Metzelaars type.
  4. The premise was to show how I disagree with Tolstoy's topic. I don't want any purposeful losing. Varying viewpoints are fine though.
  5. I can understand why many here would want our team to tank the rest of their games considering the bad record. I see it's to get a higher draft pick and in essence to raise the probability in their eyes of striking gold in the draft. But I cannot condone throwing games. Purposely losing games can gain us a higher pick, but at the same time it shows how willing we are to throw in the towel. It all boils down to how good our FO is at drafting now. In the first round our team has sucked ass in the past decade. We'll see if they turn it around with Nix and Whaley in charge along with Chan having his input. Imo it's better to make quality choices with the picks given to us. Luck could be a saviour for a team (imo he could be awesome) but I would never ever throw games for a player with even his potential. Throwing games like this just denigrates the character of how a team should be built. A lot of you will disagree I'm sure. It won't bother me one bit. Ask any true Bills player what they believe and they will say, continue to your best ability to win. Would Talley or Biscuit or Kelly say throw games? I doubt it. I see Beebe and Tasker saying win with what you have and never let up. This type of discussion will never have a true consensus. It's the nature of how people think and their viewpoints of life. Purposely losing will never ever enter any fiber of my being whether it be with the Bills or any other aspect of life. To me the Bills represent integrity, hard work, never say die attitude, something to be proud of. Things will turn around for the better. I don't ever want to see our team lose on purpose and lose my respect for them.
  6. Vince has a lot of physical talent but unfortunately he has some major technical difficulties going on in his noggin. I'd say be very very wary of him. I know Chan can work wonders with qb's but if a qb can't keep his head in order then there is only so much a coach can do.
  7. I want us to beat the blasted living daylights out of NE. Any given Sunday. Make Tom scream for Giselle.
  8. You win, you always try to win. Along the way you evaluate which players have a winning attitude and which ones quit on you. You dump the quitters and keep building from there. If you can build a team who are all on the same page then you can have a team greater than the sum of their parts. Beginning to draft well is key too. There are countless players who have become superstars who were not drafted in the top 10. We need to become better at drafting period.
  9. Lol Red. I wonder if he had a cool nick name in college. Bones perhaps.
  10. Just started watching this series called "The League" and Stevie Johnson has been mentioned at least twice so far in one episode. Interesting show. What's more interesting is that a 7th round wide receiver from our team is being mentioned in it More exposure for the Bills. In this case in a positive way. It's nothing huge but it's showing the Bills are having an impression on people. I'm sure a number of you have seen this show. It's new to me tho.
  11. Haha, wow. this thread is turning so wrong. But hilarious still.
  12. He will wear gloves at times just like Chuck Norris does, not for warmth, but to soak up his opponents blood to further his frenzy.
  13. You're right bowery. At times I can just jump on something too quickly without consideration to all sides of an issue. Peerless bungled his riches away, but I do hope he will make it thru it and also learn from this. If he doesn't learn from this...well then... what else can be said.
  14. Lol clever! This might be a new rule I will live by.
  15. Lol, that's pretty good. The Erection Company. Wang is gonna come hard and penetrate that D. He has his name to live up to, he can't come up short.
  16. Buffalokie, if your gf looks like my avatar and your avatar combined with a personality to match such loveliness, then she's a keeper!!
  17. Seriously? Every rookie has to become a starter and be a big playmaker their first year or else they are a bust. Really now? No patience at all? Bruce didn't blow people up his first year, Brees didn't either, Peyton Manning had a bad year as well. Akm you are better than this. Seriously? You don't expect a legit response more than I have given for sure right? Come on now. Let's see a more level headed post by you Akm. I know u have it in you. oh wait, u are just being sarcastic right? that must be it.
  18. In order to compete we need to draft as well as the elite teams, and keep our drafts consistently good. We need to sign quality FA's to plug our holes. Some of these FA's might even turn out to to be gems. Chan has shown us what he can do. He's done quite a job coaching up our O. We're getting better in that department (still need a TE and upgrades on the O-line). We need to upgrade our D with quality draft picks and FA's. Basically we just need to draft well and infuse talent into our team so our coach can keep coaching them up. We will be able to compete as long as Chan is our coach, we start drafting well in this new decade, our D forms into a solid unit, and Nix and Chan are on the same page and tell everyone else to stay out of their business (that includes Ralph). I will have a huge amount of respect for Chix if they put their foot down (perhaps they already have) and tell Ralph that they will build a winner without any meddling and for him to trust them. This thing can be built. I just hope Chan and Nix have the power to pull the strings necessary. Just glad they are on the same page. If Ralph does happen to pass soon, hopefully Chan and Nix stay on. Whaley better be starting to carry more of that torch. We need a solid young GM in the making to carry us forward for the long term. -sets up barbed wire fence to keep some of you wishywashy fools from getting too close to the ledge-
  19. Lol, I'm sure your doggy is more deliberate with his canine spending. He must also bury some of his possessions for future use. -lets it gain interest-
  20. These players who go bankrupt are just like the lottery winners who lose it all. Complete buffoons when it comes to handling finances. They either just don't know how or don't realize that it will eventually dry up. There are ways to invest wisely but they don't entertain that idea. Perhaps they were listening to the wrong advice. A lot of these players finally had a lot of money thrust upon them when they never had it growing up. Some were just foolish to begin with. We can't really feel that sorry for them. It's common sense that such earning abilities most likely would not be as great past their NFL careers. Blunt as it may be, you reap what you sow. Perhaps at least one person will learn from his lack of judgement. -shakes my head and slaps my forehead- Gosh what a waste of potential income and also a loss to beneffitting society. Come on Peerless! A fool and his riches are easily parted. I just gotta throw this in... What an effin waste of potential!! ughies.
  21. LOL. thanks SJ. I would as well. I'm a sucker for cute blondes who like beer. Cheers.
  22. Meathead, if I had a gf at the moment, your pic would weird her out. But since u r a Bills fan she would have to handle it or take a hike. I hope we keep Fitzy on our team for a while. Either as our starter or as a long term backup. I wouldn't mind him being our Frank Reich at all. Anything else is a huge bonus. I think he can start for us for a while though.
  23. Trent liked to be friends with all and be in everyone's good graces. That is good in some circles. But as a qb, nope he wasn't a leader. I don't know enough about Sanchizzle yet if he is considered a leader in the locker room. An inkling tells me he isn't. I could be wrong. But I can't see myself gravitating to his type of leadership if he was on the Bills.
  24. That's why having a coach like Chan, with a plan comes in handy. The day will come when FA's won't avoid us like the plague anymore. It could be next year or the year after. But that day will come. Chan and Nix are on a mission. Players notice this. The media already has.
  25. That's a talented O-line and running back the Brownies have. If they had a Fitz on their team and Chan as well, they could be potent. Thank goodness they don't. It's still going to be a struggle for our D to stop that running game. They are not explosive in the passing game tho. We have a chance.
