Exactly. People take a chill pill and relax. A bust is not automatically made when he has a solid starter in front of him. As every intelligent person should do is give a rookie 2-3 years to show what they can do. Do colleges call their freshmen busts when they can't break a starting lineup? Seriously give the man a break and let's keep improving our O-line. This man has enormous talent. Once we can upgrade our 0-line and keep them somewhat healthy, plus a year of xp under Spiller's belt, plus our whole O in general getting more accustomed to Chan's offense, we could see something great. We won't know this until it happens. You pessimists can eff of about Spiller. Optimists such as I will give him the benefit of the doubt and the time to realize his potential and see if he can hack it. It's too early to tell right now. But being pessimistic about it is the losers attitude! Eff u wishywashy fans. I'm glad players like Fitz and Spiller are not wishywashy. Go Bills!!

I wanted Orton on our team cause I thought he was a tough young version of Kelly. But now Fitzy surprisingly fit that role in my book.

I certainly want Fitz to be our main man for at least the next couple years if he keeps improving overall. He seems to be a glue for our O. A leader. Now I want the Bills to keep looking for the next great qb as well in the draft. If Fitz goes down or regresses we need a talent to turn to. I'm thinking tho that Fitzy slowly but surely progresses a bit further especially with an improving O-line next season. He'll be a solid teacher for our next great qb prospect. Fitz will put on his twead jacket, stoke his pipe and teach the young whipper snapper everything he knows and will expect the young lad to absorb it all. He is a cerebral qb and would be the perfect teacher for an understudy. Fitzy will be the man whether he becomes our guy for some years to come and/or if he teaches a new qb what he needs to kno to thrive. In either case Fitz will be our benefactor. And the man. Go Bills!!

aaron maybin gets first sack against brett favre
Pilsner replied to fairfaxbill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I predicted at the beginning of the season that Maybin would get 8 sacks this year. Time for him to step up and keep me from looking like a dumbass. Come on Maybin learn a counter move. Don't make me eat my words will you. I'll go buy some alphabet soup if you don't turn it around. -
Lol the Amish Rifle. That is damn classic. Now I'm thinking he's Jack Hinson's twin. Sharpshooter to the max.

Fitzwermacht. No offense to anyone who's been hurt by that horrible past. But Fitz could be turning into quite a war machine. I guess Fitzy is simple and works too. If he keeps things up he'll get a name that sticks. I'm thinking Fitz+some sort of Greek god name. Something from antiquity perhaps.

What did you do when Stevie dropped the TD?
Pilsner replied to UB2SF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If it can happen it will eventually happen. The odds of Stevie droppng a pass like that again have decreased. Just going by law of averages and learning from mistakes. Dean, you took the turn in fortune better than I would have at a bar. I hope your friend had a good full life too. And Bob in STL u seem like an aight guy yourself. I always try and remind myself that we're all on the same side here. Trolls can go kick rocks tho. -

I shook my head, said an expletive, acknowledged we r still getting better, hoped it would be a learning experience for SJ and realized our draft position is still very good. -
We have been playing TOO COMPETITIVE!!!
Pilsner replied to Clippers of Nfl's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Um how about kick ass. I just want our team to give everything it has. Leave everything on the field. Never say die attitude. Just get better each week. -
Will the Bills turn into a FA magnet?

Will the Bills turn into a FA magnet?
Pilsner replied to Pilsner's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I realize the team will be mainly building through the draft. With FA we'll be filing holes, getting depth players, and if we're fortunate some of these FA's will turn into something more than expected. My point is if the culture keeps changing for the better we'll have a better shot at these FA's. Getting the huge paycheck is a Big deal to FA's but to many of them other factors come into play as well. Players talk and imo our own players will be giving it a little extra to talk up Buffalo. I'm not grasping at straws. Every little positive tweek and change in our culture helps. This progress just needs to be consistent. -
Will the Bills turn into a FA magnet?
Pilsner replied to Pilsner's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know, I overstated it now I realize. I should have said more quality middle tier FA's to choose from. I highly doubt Nix will change his philosophy as well. Thanks for reminding me of Nix's view on FA's. -
Kurt Warner is the definition of class
Pilsner replied to C.Biscuit97's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A very classy Kurt Warner. He conducts himself well. I hope Stevie gleaned something from him. As one poster said, the dropped ball could be one of the best things to happen to him. A character building episode in his career. Perhaps pivotal when it comes to his concentration. As for Warner's wife's growing hotness and great rack, that's a nice bonus in his accomplished life. Good for him and good for her. -
Now if Easley can rap and is adept with a sharpie, he and Stevie could be the classier version of TOcho.

Will the Bills turn into a FA magnet?
Pilsner replied to Pilsner's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I kno BuffaloWest, I used "magnet" to lure people into the thread. No team can really be a magnet (Washingtons obscene spending might be an exception). All of you have great points I didn't think of. We need some damn good quality FA's next year. -
Buffalo doesn't have the sunny beaches, warm winter weather or as many fancy nightclubs as some cities to help lure quality FA's. But forming a winning attitude, putting teams on the ropes, pushing them to their limits, fostering a team first mentality, having a coach who backs his players are qualities we haven't had for a while. I'm not saying FA's will flock to the Bills but they'll certainly begin to change their view and give us more consideration. If we continue with said positive changes the FA's with the qualities and attributes we want will go hmmm... maybe the Bills aren't a bad place to land afterall (assuming we are competitive with pay). The change in our culture def can't hurt their consideration.

I agree Mathew. Improving the O-line would do wonders for Fitzy's progress. At this point he reminds me of a tough but more inteligent Stan Humphries. Fitz and Chan seem to really complement each other. Chan seems almost giddy at times having a qb like Fitz.
-
Very good article. Could Fitzy be evolving into a Peyton Manning but without all the accuracy? He def has the intelligence and smarts to make the line adjustments and disect D's almost seemingly on the fly as Peyton. Fitz just needs more time to prove long term consistency at a high level. It is not out of the question he could be something special with more coaching by Chan.
