  1. Schonert and Van Pelt were both back ups, so what does that say? I'm more confident in AVP because he learned behind Kelly, played for the Bills, and in college he broke dan marinos passing records. IMHO he is a student of the game! I agree that the previous OC lacked alot of things, and am glad this change was made, Bill Walsh knew alot about QB's, time will tell if he was right on this one, let's just hope this gift he gave us turns out to be a Ferrari and not a Pinto.........
  2. If the ship sinks, aren't there treasures on the bottom of the ocean? lol
  3. Back then the O line could do it all, so a lot is riding on this O line?
  4. They will probably pick someone up from the waiver wire, there's got to be someone decent out there?
  5. jauron is kind of right on with this one, Kelly and Manning both said they wanted to be great at few plays and keep runing them over and over, stick with what works, if the defense shuts that down, go to plan B, sounds good to me .......
  6. Nothing would bring greater joy to all of Buffalo fandom ! ! !
  7. Why so quick to cave and call it a losing season?, "It aint over till its over", Hirings and firings happen all the time, this is a business and if its broke, you gotta fix it, I'm in favor of tweaking it even more if it means "winning" is the focus. No way is this season a bust, it hasnt even started yet, there's work to do, but anything is possible at this point. The 1st game may be a little rough but one game dont make the season, they've been saying the no huddle was a work in progress all preseason anyway, so let's see if AVP's brilliant football mind can paint us a masterpiece...........
  8. Very nice metaphor:) and for those ready to jump overboard, "your mind is like a parachute, it only works when its open", I'm sure you've heard the old lemons into lemonade analogy too! It is what it is, and I agree with Jim Kelly on this one, VanPelt has a great football mind and thought he'd be a great OC, let's see what he can do before we send the ship to the bottom of the ocean........
  9. from AP article - "The Bills believe he’s versatile enough to eventually play linebacker, too" "he is number 58" if this is the plan, then lets get him up to speed asap, I could see him being a shawn merriman type guy with the passion for the game he's showing can I get an amen !
  10. That was frustrating to watch, you're in FG range, why not take a shot a the endzone or "practice" some different plays, it is a practice game isn't it?
  11. Even though lynch runs tough, I am concerned about him juking to much, he caught a couple passes where he could have cut to open field but insted he tried to put a move on the guy and go thru him, he needs to read the field make a cut and go north and south! (could have been alot more YAC)
  12. couldnt agree more, at least he gets fired up and emotional !
  13. and didnt peters start at RT before moving to LT, not a bad place to start
  14. The fact of the matter is that the RB position is in a happy place, much better than the alternative
  15. I would be more excited than nervous, and anxious to get that proverbial monkey off our backs, GO BILLS !
  16. yeah whatever! football didnt exist then, so whats your point?
  17. If its been brought up I am sorry, but the"Tuck Rule" game started the whole thing, and even Bellicheat admitted he got away with it, so what is anyone to do, aside from beating them at their own game, let's end their party and start our own, kick their a$$es back to 1-15!!!
  18. Why not wait till we see how they perform in the preseason, before we lambaste them with negative criticism, I'm as skepticle as the rest, but no one has a crystal ball and can honestly say that they know they are gonna suck, if you're a psychic, please do tell us, are we gonna make the playoffs? I for one am gonna stay cautiously optimistic and keep my glass half full as opposed to the negative alternative. . .
  19. "Chryan Kelsenny", funny, it took me a minute, but i finally figured it out, they're like twins. It might be stating the obvious but its a very good point, staying healthy can make this a potential top 10 defense or better. The only thing that worries me is the LB depth, behing Poz, Veek, and (ellison), there are no studs, at least they haven't shown themselves yet, maybe we shall see in the preseason. But you're right, the rotation looks good. . .
  20. You're not alone, if Bell is an upgrade, let him play, he's definately lighter and has better footwork, ad experience and he's a lock!
  21. lol, yeah, what's up with that, looks like he dosent like freedom and wants to be contained, oh wait, that's his life outside of football:)
  22. Agreed, I think it may be sooner, the preseason will tell us alot. . .
  23. "I've always lived by the thinking there are two things you can control on the football field: attitude and effort," Wood said. "I'm always going to bring my effort, and I'm always going to bring a good attitude. ... Come New England Week One, I should be ready to go." "Yeah, this kid has the right attitude. Hopefully he can make Wilfork his personal B word for years to come." if some of this rubs off ont the rest of the line , it's gonna be awesome
