  1. I shouldn't laugh at that but you just made me spit my coffee.
  2. You misstate what I said. He has a legitimate self-defense argument. Petite or not (didn't seem so petite, but that's immaterial), she assaulted him first. Having a vagina does not give you license to clobber someone else.
  3. No....he decked he because she raised her fist to him immediately and he grabbed her arm to prevent her swinging and she immediately swung with her other fist, followed immediately by his response. She started a sequence of events that would lead any reasonable person in that circumstance to conclude that it was to continue. Look at the video. She immediately took umbrage to him bumping into her and became aggressive. Add to that that she was probably drunk and you have a pretty good case of self defense, IMO.
  4. Where do you get that idea? He's only charged with misdemeanor assault and even then, the case is weak.
  5. I'm curious as to how you reach this opinion on a series of events and circumstances that have yet to occur.
  6. I have to believe that this is what he has been doing all along. Would it make sense for him not to? Honestly, no one has really seen EJ in any substantive capacity in a long time, yet folks are so willing to to adopt the position of The Maroon whom I believe sold the kid down the river. I'm hoping he succeeds as I think any other scenario (based upon the current squad) sets the Bills back. Tyrod is merely OK as he strikes me as a poor man's Michael Vick and I'm not enamored of that model.
  7. Dear Training Camp, Please get here fast People are beginning to hallucinate....badly. Signed, The Fans
  8. I hope he gets it and we don't see a repeat of this. These kids have an opportunity that many can only dream of and it's a shame to see some of them throw it away over nonsense.
  9. Very cool! I'm just getting an all-around good vibe about this team for the coming season. It's in the air man, I'm telling you.
  10. Just got a msg from Team Stream. We're gonna sign Clay after Miami loses patience.
  11. Nuts....beat me to it. Couldn't open my browser fast enough. I take it that the negotiations with Clay are going well.
  12. This is it in a nutshell and it goes beyond just football. There are some people who simply do not trust their own judgment, even though they know the right thing to do. It's what makes the difference between being a leader and simply a face in the crowd. EJ needs to lead, if he's going to have any success as the Bills QB. Yes, this will be interesting to watch and I wonder how much of EJ's indecision was impacted by the approach of the former coaching staff.
  13. I don't recall Byrd trashing the Bills like Marrone did. Also, where talking about a coach vs a player. It might be expected to an extent from a player, but a coach is a different kettle of fish. The coach is ultimately the person who is supposed to lead and in many instances, be the face of the franchise. He's the person that many in the organization look to. If that person's integrity cannot be trusted, why have that person in your organization? He may have secured $4 million for his family, but long term he very well may have scuttled any chance of landing a top coaching gig anytime soon. As someone said, the NFL is a small club. It also has a long memory.
  14. Where did I say we win more games with EJ under center?? Remember the title of this thread. Marrone likely never intended to stay in Buffalo but instead sought to pad his resume. In that context, I care very much about Marrone's motivation as he sacrificed potential long term stability for (his) short term goal, which was to get out of Dodge as soon as possible. The man could care less about developing the young talent in favor of a few extra wins.
  15. Let me try this another way: Given what we now know, the motivation behind the way Marrone handled EJ is in serious question.
  16. I'm not saying that it would have (assuming you mean EJ not being benched). We likely would still be in the same position for this year. However, what we would have is a better gauge on whether or not we have a serviceable, if not competent, QB in EJ. Right now, we have a mystery at number one on the depth chart. Exactly.
  17. ^^^This. At the beginning of the Pats game, I was sure that he would play EJ for a significant portion of the game to see how improved (if at all) EJ was in game situations. As time wore on, I wondered that EJ must be really bad if he isn't even played in this meaningless game. Now that his plan seems apparent, it seems clear that Marrone threw EJ under the bus for his own benefit. How much did he retard this kid's professional development in favor of his own selfish ends? We may never know.
  18. My first thought was, “Oh crap.“ Then I thought do I miss Malarkey? NOPE. He quit on us too. F him....let's close ranks and move on.
