  1. Yeah and didn't really get eyeballs on them in real situations Just pure arrogance
  2. Tanking doesn't involve getting rid of young, talented players
  3. It is completely unimpressive to me that Beane managed to secure draft picks moving out talented young players There are way to many holes to fill now via the vaunted 2018 draft pick hoarding
  4. I live in Alberta and Deon Lacey was an exceptional LB for the Eskimos But I think he might be a tweener, not fast enough to be an NFL safety not big enough to be an NFL LB
  5. Your awesome scouting eye saw "enough" on Tyrod's THREE passes tonight?
  6. Evaluating a preseason Tyrod when he won't extend plays with his legs and remains in the pocket behind a makeshift OLine is ridiculous
  7. This I can find several examples of great teams bad cultures and surprisingly few great cultures but bad teams Changing culture is coach code for "Everything get done my way"
  8. I agree with the original point Shouldn't good management view the talent in regular season with their own eyes before making a decision?
  9. What could we be possibly tanking for with the Jets and Browns existing in the league? The 3rd best QB in next years draft?
  10. As somebody who went to their first Bills game ever last year I'd like to make maybe a outside the box statement The general level of craziness of Bills tailgates is maybe a little over-hyped but what is under hyped is how much fun and generous the Bills fans are I went to the Cards game with my Dad, who is a Cards fan (and wore his Cards jersey) and as we toured through the tailgating areas, literally 5 minutes into our meandering around a Bills fan ran up to my Dad and gave him a beer and told him it was a "bad luck" beer. We ended up chatting with them for half an hour We walked around a lot, maybe didn't see the crazy areas buy met a lot of fun people Just a great atmosphere that felt really fun and safe
  11. Ian Rappaport reporting they had to amputate from the knee down
  12. So when you go to a new company/division you generally hire the person who is supposed to manage you?
  13. This is a really good post I agree Whaley is really at strong talent evaluation What he needs is somebody who understands the cap a little better, gets the theory behind gaming your FA process for comp picks, has strong decisions with FA tenders and so forth When Whaley inevitably gets fired I'm not sure out talent identification process will be upgraded
  14. Perfect we can red shirt him for a year - Trent Baalke
  15. Remember when they didn't draft Dalton because they liked Levi Brown's upside A franchise that doesn't make QB a priority is destined to always have this problem
  16. You don't sign WR and secondary to big time money Robert Woods was targeted on 74 snaps last year out of a 1,000 offensive plays, it's not efficient to pay big money for that Gilmour is a good player but his ability to impact a game is far less than that of Defensive Line players The Bills strategy under Doug I believe is to pay for players on the OLine and DLine (and of course QB)
  17. Bargain basement signings from the last 2 years Tyrod Taylor Zach Brown Lorax you can probably make the case for Richie Incognito
  18. Signing CB's to 14 million and paying for average possession receivers is dumb The Bills are way better off allocating that money elsewhere
