  1. What are your thoughts on Skip Bayless?
  2. Next season is Miller's last on that contract, it was basically a three year deal...I would think they can still keep AJE, more so I don't think Miller was ever going to be the contract that prevents AJE, but I'm more hoping someone who might know more detail on the cap could weigh in, cause that's not me.
  3. The bigger missed call was not winding the clock on I think it was the third to last play...that was total bs
  4. Wasn't there an episode of Coach where the team got food poisoning from eating bad chicken wings the night before the game?
  5. Right, and I guess my point is, what if the coaches called that and the players screwed it up
  6. Think I heard earlier today a torn labrum, but don't have a source.
  7. I believe that Levi Wallace blew the assignment after they baited Kelce into changing his route, and it's the reason he isn't here anymore. If it was a coach, I think the coach would have raised their hand and been accountable...I think it was a player making a mistake on something they practiced a bunch and that's why there has been mostly silence (McD had said they practiced that a bunch, I don't think it was a coach thing, they baited Kelce imo and Wallace played the wrong coverage, again imo.
  8. Who blasted you for that take? Joe Marino, Cover 1 guys, national media people were all saying the same thing and they were right.
  9. Don't you remember how much people talked about how hard it was playing against poyer and hyde because they would shift coverage at the last second? That's not new...the bills used to simulate pressure all the time with Edmunds coming up into the A gap and then dropping out. That's not new, I think what we are seeing is the defense more dictating to the offense on where to go with the ball based on the look and then having the pressure come in a planned way to disrupt that look and anticipate where the second read is and try to bait bad decisions. They were doing a lot of that last year, but I think McD is much more shrewd in his play calling in terms of messing with an offenses head in terms of causing ghosts and mirages.
  10. Maybe, but I am pretty sure I'm seeing a lot more choreographed rushes now, which I have to imagine are done with the intention of understanding where the first read will be and getting a rusher coming through that passing window...or using coverage to take away the first read and then having the pressure come through the passing window of the second read...like that's my guess as to what's happening now based on some free rushers I saw last week where it was obvious they were trying to choreograph a specific person to come free, I just have no idea if that was happening under Frazier. Hearing McD talk about how they wanted to dictate a lot more and seeing that highly symbiotic anf choreographed defense across all levels and the amount of disguised and simulated pressures we're seeing now...I think that is what is happening. Edit: adding the link Haven't watched this yet, but saw it was up right after I posted...let's see if I was right
  11. I don't agree that the current system in the nfl is market capitalism...first they are socializing the costs (which happens all over the place not just the nfl)...then they are getting tax exemptions and antitrust excemptions...there are all sorts of things they are doing and perks they are getting that prevent this from being market capitalism. Not disagreeing with what you're saying either, it is definitely a supply and demand thing...I really would love to see the pricing analysis and strategy breakdown of why they decided to do that approach vs giving as many people the ability to watch the games as possible. Seems like they're capping their market share intentionally...maybe it's in a way to ensure more people watch their local team?
  12. I get the reason he was upset, but he gave some very specific football scheme related criticism and how Rapp plays within the scheme...Adams has I'm sure watched at least some film of Rapp leading up to this game I would think and certainly he would have watched film on him when he was a starter with the Rams if the Packers played the Rams, which with both being in the NFC would have likely happened when both were on their former teams. He didn't just say he's a backup and he shouldn't hit players like that...he said specific scheme related football xs and os is what was causing him to be a backup player. What did he mean by the comment specifically related to the Xs and Os? That is my specific question, I am not looking to speculate or discuss the reason Adams said what he said in this specific post/question, I am looking to understand what he meant by it and if the criticism is valid. People can think valid stuff about say a coworker that is screwing up and everyone has to cover for, but someone only finally says something about it if the thing they have an issue with finally causes a big problem. See above, I am not asking why he said it, I honestly don't care about the drama, I'm not watching a soap opera...was what he said coming from a legitimate football point of view? Like the stuff Payton said about Hackett...said in poor taste and not proper, but probably not incorrect. I'm looking for someone who has legit football knowledge and that has watched tape of Rapp explain this please.
  13. Can someone explain the football nuance of why Adams said that? It kind of reminded me a bit of the Hyde pick against NE in the playoffs, except Hyde got there in time to make an actual play on the ball, while Rapp was late and only had a chance to hit the receiver and ultimately did so in a way that put him in position to have it turn into a defenseless receiver type hit. Is that the point Adams is making, that Rapp was late because he has trouble reading plays properly and then because he was late the only chance he had go make a play was creating a very high risk and unsafe situation (above and beyond the standard risk associated with playing nfl football)?
  14. The CBS map isn't loading for some reason, but CBS has the single game and Carolina is the late game and I live in Raleigh, so that's my answer there on if the bills will have a chance to be on regular TV! My wife went out of town for work for the week and she left me here with two little kids that need to be driven all over the place for school and appointments... if the weather is nice I think it's only fair for her to drop me and my six year old off somewhere that has tvs on a patio and then she can deal with the kids and my tipsy self... even though she kinda already has to do that all the time when she's home! Maybe what I should do is tell her how her being gone makes me realize how much she does and how much I appreciate her and that I was planning on going out to watch the game, but instead I'll figure out how to watch it at home and she should go and take the afternoon to focus on herself.....hahahahahahaha can you imagine! I'm looking up outdoor patio sports bars right now, and oh man I cracked myself up!
  15. Have you watched any film? Do you have any reason in terms of actually knowing anything about what you're really watching for anyone here to take this as anything more than just a blustering and likely awful hot take? NFL football is no question the most complicated and least understood sport there is...I can understand coverage concepts and such, and I would never ever claim to know anything about the sport I am watching and frankly anyone who claims they do, without actual bonafides to back that up are walking Duning Kruger blowhards.
  16. Is it possible that he's actually number two on the depth chart, just not coming in off the bench during a game?
  17. That throw to Davis with Diggs right there into triple coverage basically was wild, even though it ultimately worked..it was weird. Why were diggs and Davis so close together? I saw an all22 snipet of I the first int...the crosser was open deep, but the safety never moved from the middle of the field...I thought maybe allen was staring down the crosser hoping the safety would bite and he would have hardy wide open deep...they showed a a second angle where you could see where Allen was looking...the reason the safety never moved from the middle of the field was because Allen was staring hardy down big time...he actually used his eyes to uncover the crossser (Kincaid?), but threw to the guy where he moved the safety... It was really weird actually, like not something I remember seening allen do in a long time... concerning
  18. They get their stadiums subsidized and largely paid for with public money...the games should be easily accessible to watch... or they could privately fund their stadiums and give back their anti trust exception.
  19. I mean maybe he needs a team with solid support and clear boundaries... it sounds like he has something more foundational going on with his personality, but I don't know him and have not seen near enough to have a real opinion on him as a person, but I'd be very cautious if I were Beane bringing him onto this roster.
  20. Right! Like imagine if Josh Rosen had actually had a promising year and then a great half a year and then started having a rough stretch with injuries and was just super toxic the way all the reports have him... would people want that version of Josh Rosen? Using Rosen as an example because I think most people agree with Rosen having a crap attitude.
  21. I think it also is important to note that smoothness is not the same or even more so not the opposite of explosiveness...it's more someone is able to connect a lot of really tiny movements together, where they have control to adjust their movement at any point. Hopefully that makes sense. It almost sounded like you were kind of thinking smooth referred to a lack or explosiveness, which is not the case with Kincaid...he's able to smoothly get his body in a variety of positions from which he can explode with suddenness...that versatility for explosion is something Von Miller has for example. It's how Josh Allen and especially Mahommes are able to adjust arm angle and still throw so effortless while having the ball just explode out of their hands. Once more for good measure: explode
