Like every other problem with the Bills, you can easily trace this one back to money. The Bills refused to resign some valuable young veteran special teamers because their salaries were creeping up to levels Wilson and his inner circle jerks deemed unacceptable. So of course April is frustrated and losing control, those rookies and rookie free agents replacing the young veterans suck compared to the guys that were not resigned. Anybody else wonder why in the heck Jim Leonhard was not kept in Buffalo? Very easy answer - John Wendling is cheaper.

...and that mess will have to be cleaned up by innocent stadium workers that are just tyring to make a few extra bucks during Sunday home games. And what makes you think 150,000 individual safe lighters add up to a hazerdous waste situation? Do you have to take your old lighters to a special waste drop off? I'm not a smoker or camper and have never even purchased a lighter, but please enlighten me, because I've never heard of lighters being something to throw out in any "special" way. So the only thing your brilliant idea will accomplish is to add time and effort onto the Ralphs stadium workers. Simply brilliant.

Although Evans and his "well deserved extension" means squat because he can't seem to get open fast enough for Trent Edwards to throw him more then two or three passes a game! And why is that?....oh wait I know, because the only Pro Bowl caliber offensive lineman the Bills had didn't "show up for work and prove he deserved his extension." I agree. However, refusing to run any type of pass route or block anybody on running plays or screen plays that are not going to him, is a huge problem. He is, one of the 11 men on offense that is supposed to have an asignment on every single passing and running play. His behavior is really a diva-inspired slap in the face to every other Bills reciever that runs a good route to take his man away from the play, or throws a block down field.

You are really spouting out ignorance, my Peters-hating friend. The fact is that the Bills have sucked under DJ and his idiot OC's. Under DJ, they have been worse then average every season, and Jason Peters just happened to be the only Pro Bowl caliber player on the offensive line, for a bad team. If they decide to improve, only the stupidest NFL managers decide to trade their one and only Pro Bowl player on the offensive line to do it. Just imagine this line with Peters, and a very servicable Langston Walker still manning the right side, same as last season, with the two kids and Hangartner playing inside. Now tell me that a rookie and a 50 year old defensive end like Wade and Taylor would have danced around Edwards like they did against the two bartenders the Bills were forced to line up. Walker (at right tackle only) and Peters at his Pro Bowl left tackle spot, should have been left alone. But the Bills management got cheap and convinced haters like you that Peters was a "bad influence" and then decided that Walker had to be cut because he was not willing to sacrafice hard enough to play left tackle. Of course they saved a bunch of money by cutting Walker instead of at least keeping him on the team as a quality back up. The Bills are laughing stocks of the NFL because they refuse to pay - pay for the right players, and pay for the right GM and Pro and College scouts to find those right players. Get back to me in January when Peters gets chosen to represent the NFC to his third consecutive Pro Bowl for the Eagles, who not only paid Peters the money he demanded, but also traded the Bills a first round draft pick for the rights to pay him what he wanted.

Peters was not replaceable, because he never should have needed to be replaced, just paid. And I truly believe that Aaron Maybin will be an every down player, immediately after he starts playing for an NFL caliber DC who is willing to find ways to get the kid on the field and take advantage of his speed and football talent, instead of demanding the kid "fit into his system". Does anyone think that Maybin could play any worse then Ellison as an OLB if simply given a chance???

Come on, get serious. Wake (whover the heck he is) was lining up against tackles today that could not start for Lancaster High School. Remember how good every back up DE looked for the Bills in the preseason? Well, Mr. Wizard, both Scott and Chambers are exactly the type of OT's those back up DE's played against during the preseason Perry Fool thinks that Maybin is "not ready" to replace Denny or Kelsay in the rotation. Fool will not figure out creative ways to use his speed and talent, because Fool plays his schemes and packages, and that's it. I did watch one bull rush by Maybin that resulted in a sack. This Maybin kid will be a Pro Bowl player in the NFL - most likely before Cameron Wake gets voted into one anyway! Next week superstar Cameron will be forced to go up against a real NFL caliber OT, and he will disapear just as fast as every other struggling rookie DE does in most of their games as they learn to play one of the toughest positions.

Your story is not "ended." Trent Edwards does not have "it" yet, and chances are he most likely never will have "it." The "it" he obviously lacks is the will and desire to win at all costs, to lay it all on the line, to will his team to win games it has no business winning, and blow out the teams they should beat. At this point in his career, Edwards sucks. He quietly blames everyone but himself, shows zero excitement or leadership during any point of the game and is scared to freakin' death to throw the football farther then 10 yards on 95% of his pass attempts. He is seemingly unwilling to read a defense and audible out of a stupid call by Fat Van Pelt. As for today's train wreck of a game he "played", with those imposters masquarading as OT's starting, neither Fat nor Trent should have called any passes that included any more then 3 step drops the entire game. They should have called for at least 30 runs between Jackson and Lynch, and simply punted and played field position the entire game with that offensive line whose strength lied only inside the tackles. The only break I'll give Fat and Edwards is that Fool's defense sucked as bad as the offense, too. To make matters worse, did you happen to see that big smile on Trent's face as he greeted Camarillo of the Dolphins after the game? I don't ever remember Joe Ferguson or Jim Kelly sprinting over to an opposing teams' player to smile and hug him after that guys' team just kicked their asses up and down the football field. Do you?

*Nice game plan from Fat Van Pelt. Even though he was forced to start two bartenders off the street at left and right tackle, he still would not call any 3 step drop quck passes to off set the pass rush. *Nice game plan from Perry Fool. Even though the Dolphins QB was starting his first NFL game, he blitzed him less then he blitzed all world Drew Brees last week. Despite the fact that every single time the Bills pressured the kid, they sacked him, caused one fumble, forced him to throw a bad pass or run for a just a couple of yards, most third downs Fool went with his "tried and true" 4 man "no pressure" pass rush and 7 man "no coverage" zones. Simply amazing, isn't it? *Nice game from Trent. I guess all of his detractors are 100% right. He sucks and the Bills need to start yet again from scratch. He has the ability to read a freakin' defense (or does he?) at the line, and audible out of all of those 5 and 7 step drop passes to plays that might stand a prayer of gaining yards. If he is so stupid to allow Fat to call stupid plays into his helmet and yet just run them, then its' time to blow up the QB position and let Edwards back up Lost-man with the Las Vegas Locos. *Unless a lottery - winning-like miracle occurs and Wilson fires Jauron and his entire staff tomorrow morning at 9:00 AM, next up for Fat Van Pelt and Perry Fool will be an even bigger challange then they faced this past week. They will need to come up with completely illogical non-sensical game plans bad enough to make the Cleveland Browns look good. Now that won't be easy, but if any two coordinators in the NFL can do it by God, Fat and Fool can! *Nice job from Brandon, Modrak & Guy giving all that alleged "talent' such a dominating offensive line with dependable depth to operate behind during this "make or break" season.

I don't care what I are seem. I just listed Jennings and Harris because they are out there and still want to play. What about one of the other guys on the list? My point was not to defend Jonas Jennings or Kwame Harris. My point was for the Bills to have signed who they consider to be the best of that lot by now, especially with the injuries to Butler and with Bell being banged up, for some back up insurance. Just like they had ready at corner with Florence and his 8 years.

Perry Fewell sure is happy to have Drayton Florence available as a free agent signing this past spring right about now isn't he? He makes more then one mention that Florences' 8 seasons and over 50 starts in the NFL is a huge comfort factor. He really must scratch his head in wonderment however, when he looks across the field over to AVP and Sean Kugler. The Bills started one of the youngest OL's in recent history, and now only three games into the season, with injuries they are even younger. Who do they bring in as free agents to "fortify" the line against those injuries?....practice squad players - more rookies with zero starts in the NFL, as second stringers in some positions, due to the immediate injury situation on the OL. Here is the latest list of experienced free agent offensive tackles the Bills could easily sign to one year deals, maybe even two of them to one year deals, with the cap space they have left. Sure none of them is as good a free agent OL as Florence was at corner. But any of them would sure cost the Bills less then Florences 2 year deal is going to cost them, now that Drayton can earn some incentives by starting this week due to McKelvin's season ending injury. Even just one of the guys on this list would add experience and a level of professionalism that the pre schoolers on the line now could learn from! I've been screaming about the lack of game experience on the Bills OL during this season where they signed Owens for just this one year and need to win at least 9 games. It simply makes no sense to have all these young guys learning on the job this season, not for Jauron and saving his damn job, not for Ralph Wilson at 91 years old, and especially not for we frustrated fans! But anyway, here is the list below, and don't try to convince me that at least one of those guys wouldn't help the Bills more then the practice squad 5th round draft choice from Green Bay the Bills did sign recently!!: Jason Fabini, 11 years (unsure if he retired, or is injured or still available) Wayne Gandy, 15 years (unsure if he retired, or is injured or still available) Kwame Harris, 6 years Jonas Jennings, 8 years Fred Miller, 13 years Jon Runyan, 13 years (many say he's still injured) Barry Stokes, 10 years Mark Tauscher, 9 years

Great plan.....For the Redskins, since Dan Snyder is the only NFL owner that would pay the money to all three of those defensive free agents in one off-season. Ralph Wilson and his inner circle?....first they would have to "convince" Jauron to fire Fewell, since Fewell obviously would never coach a 3-4 alignment while he was DC. Or, they would have to have the common sense and stones to just finally fire Jauron and his entire staff - but that would entail two things: The Bills would have to lose at least 10 games this season, and I don't think they are bad enough to pull that off, and then Wilson would have to eat that extension he paid Jauron last season, and we all know how much Wilson hates doing that.

Watching Ownens not answering the reasonable questions about the lousy game against the Saints with that stupid hat on, was almost enough for me to want the Bills to just dump this a..hole and eat the 6.5 Mil they invested in him. And I'm a life long Bills fan that wants only for T.O. to get his 10 TD's and over 1,000 yards receiving for his one season with the Bills. Dungy has no affiliation with the diva or our Bills, and he was just stating his honest opinions about Owens, and most other people around football agree completely with his takes anyway. Instead of "hating" Tony Dungy, we should all apsire to live our lives like him. That said, as a Bills fan, I really hope like you that Edwards gets his head out of his butt and starts throwing the ball his way Sunday against the Dolphins' weak secondary. I would rather watch Owens act like a selfish jerk during press conferences after games he plays well in for the rest of this strange season!

Now that Marshawn is back, it's time for AVP to show Bills nation he has the stones to bring this offense out of it's shell. Number one, he needs to RUN THE BALL MORE. No way should this young OL ever play a game where it run blocks less then 25 times. Secondly, put Fast Freddy out in the slot WITH Lynch in the backfield. If that doesn't free up Evans or Owens, with the defense not knowing if Lynch will run the ball down their freakin' throats or Jackson will run a freakin' fly pattern right past their LB or safety trying to cover him, then nothing ever will. But finally, fat Alex needs to come out of his OC chair and drill Trent with more TIMING passes to his wide receivers. You know, the ones that need to be thrown evern before the WR makes his break for the ball?? This way, Edwards won't have to watch for his WR to be wide open by 12 yards before he decides to throw the football. Instead, much like Peyton Manning and Drew Brees, he can drop 3 to 5 steps and just throw the football at the spot Evans or Owens should be.

The offense wasn't even worth replying about, so I will stick to your points above about Maybin & Ellis. It is amazing to me how DJ will throw out the youngest least experienced OL to start the regular season since the 2000 Giants line, and yet is so damn stubborn about keeping Kelsay and Denny in the rotation on the DL. Now it was shocking and amazing to finally see Kelsay play a pretty damn good game for him yesterday, and I will give him his profs for that. But DJ and/or Fewell will not let the younger kids play very much - like Maybin and Ellis. You don't notice them because they don't play all that much. Ellis made the team, and he made the 53 man roster. There is no reason he can't take some rotation away from Denny. And Fewell should be playing Maybin all over the D-Line so much he should be sucking in oxygen between series. But Fewell knows better right? And DJ knows better, right? Besides, after the fake field goal TD's for Denny the last two seasons, the Bills should convert him to TE, and let Maybin play every down while Kelsay is the third man in.

Gee, after they looked so good against those tough Bucs last week, how dare I complained about how inexperienced they are! I got flamed pretty good for that after such a feel good win. Well, now that our old friend Gregggg Williams earned himself a game ball by making our kids look foolish against his veteran D-Line and package of zone blitzes, who wants to defend how talented the kids on our line are today?? And oh by the way, nobody is confusing the Saints defense with the Ravens or the Giants D this season either. And AVP, who needs your excuses? I saw his fat face sitting up there in the booth. What the heck does he mean, he didn't come up with the right answers? Here's one answer, run some extra freakin' shot gun snap drills for Hangartner this week. If Edwards would not have had to pick up the ball from rolling back to him on almost every important shot gun snap in the 4th quarter, he might have been able to complete some important 3rd down passes to keep a couple important drives alive. How complicated is that, Alex? And of course, despite the fact the Bills were within 10 points well into the 4th quarter, AVP joined the ranks of the idiots before him calling the plays, in abandaning the running game just because they didn't average 9 yards a carry all freakin' day. Instead, when just one or two long time consuming drives with the simplest of running plays could have won the game for his struggling offense and valiant defense, he just continued to put Edwards into the shot gun, continued to have Hangartner roll the ball back to him, and continued to have Evans and Owens run long routes down either side of the field when he knew damn well the line was not giving Edwards the time to throw them the ball. Yeah, I would say you failed at finding the right answers Alex.

Great take. If AVP has any hope of getting this kid's head out of his butt, he better play Roscoe Parrish either instead of Reed, or with Reed as the 4th wide out a lot. It seems Edwards needs even more speed on the field to take the double teams away from both Evans and Owens. Or....AVP better start using T.O and Evans on 3 step drop slants instead of simply lining them up on opposite sides of the freakin' field and running them straight down the stupid field, while Professor Check Down continues to throw 6 yard passes on 3rd and 13 to Derek Fine or Josh Reed.

The last 5 years? Yeah, the last "big win" was 5 years ago. It's not worth looking up, because I'm so disgusted with the Bills right now, but it was during the 2004 Mularkey/Bledsoe year. I think they started 3-6-0 that season. Then, out of nowhere, that team went on a tear, and reeled off 6 consecutive wins. So the 6th consecutive win that season, was it at Seattle? At the Rams? Who knows? But that regular season win that improved their record to 9-6-0, was the last "big win" in the history of the Bills. Five years ago. It sucks being us Bills fans, doesn'it it?

Wasn't it 20-7 at that point? Either way, of course you go for it. My God, even if they made the first down, went all the way down and scored the TD, to make 20 or 17-14, no way would I kick off either. I would on-sides kick and hope to get the ball back, even if there was still over 5 minutes left in the game. Why? Obviously, as the Saints proved after the stupid punt, the Bills' defense had done way more then anyone ever expected holding them down to 17 or 20 points at the time of that punt with under 8 mintues left in the game. The entire Bills nation knew there was no way they could hold on with the game on the line enough to make them go three and out. Maybe DJ was shocked that the Saints scored two more times, but nobody else watching the feakin' game was!! Of course you go for it. And of course DJ punted. And here we go again heading for another lousy losing season while Jauron explains away each loss, like only he can. Please Ralph, if he figures out a game plan to lose next week at 0-3-0 Miami, please fire him before the 5th game. We can only dream.

Edwards may have talent, but he is afraid to fail. He will not throw the ball down field. Evans and Owens don't end up even being good decoys, because nobody thinks the ball will be coming to them. Ever. Because it doesn't. And the coaching sucks too. Why not move Evans around, line him up in the slot, and run Jackson out wide sometimes? And why not have T.O. with that muscular frame play lower to be the inside short pass option sometimes? I wouldn't mind seeing T.O. catch a 5 yard pass over the middle against a freakin' linebacker one on one. Any reason to think he won't make a 20 yard gain out of that match up?? And don't forget the biggest f-up of the entire organization. They went out and signed T.O. to a stupid one year deal for 6.5 Million dollars, and then put the least experienced offensive line in front of Edwards to come along in the NFL in almost 10 years. Does that make any sense to anyone out here?
