The Bills could be 7-0 if the play calling was better. IF Hackett could get any creativity about him this O would be as good or better then the D is. Stats are great. But watching the game and play calls like Frank Summers two times in a row up the middle show Hackett's lack of creativity. It was like he watched that play work once so he went right back to it. Make no mistake as this season goes on and team get more film of Hackett's tendencies this O will look worse and worse. I pray that Hackett and Marrone figure it out. The talent and will appears on this team, now the coaching needs to step up on the O side.

I will say this, Hackett is horrible, I am sorry but calling the same crappy CJ run play again and again to start a drive and getting nothing from it is inexcusable. Hackett has shown little to no game management or feel for the game. He is in over his head. I said it in the game thread and i say it here. And as long as Marrone allows Hackett to call the game Marrone is as much to blame. This is the NFL a Cord should not develop!!!! Hackett should have proven he belonged here and that is why he is the Bills OC. Miami is not a great team. Tanneyhill is not a good QB. The Bills would have lost that game if Tanneyhill was good. They did lose that same game against Brady and Dalton. I am not happy at all with this staff- stay consistent. They go for it last week against Cincy and show an aggressive style. This week they get a turnover late in the game, and are moving the ball. Go for the TD! Seal the game. There are other examples from this game where Hackett had no idea how to work the clock. D coaches are great and doing the best they can with the talent they have. Pettine is showing over and over that he learned well from Rex.

Hackett is bad. Been saying it since week one and he has done nothing to improve his play calling. -
Cordy Glenn vs Jonathan Martin

You know i really do hope Mario and the rest of the D get after Tanny just so BB can try to stand up for him. BB weird fascination with mid west QB's is uncanny. -
When exactly was A Williams stock high??? he had one game where he made some great plays. He has shown some potential to be a good safety. Williams has been asked to play CB where he is not best suited. By week 10 if everyone stays healthy and this D backfield has time to gel we will really see what this D can do. Defensive backfields are very much like Oline. The more guys play together and get comfortable with one another the better they play. So far i doubt we have had the same guys start a game in the defensive backfield from one week to another.

4th and Goal at the one
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Braedenstearns's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
marrone is thinking he is at home and it appears it is going to be an offensive high scoring game. He went for it. The call was not great, but the idea of going for it was. Marrone understands he has a young team overall that plays very emmotionally. He was hoping to get on a roll. And the Bills do not win by kicking the field goal. Listening to Boomer and Solomon repeat that over and over again was terrible. -
I think you wait till EJ is healthy. You see how Thad does until then. If Thad plays well then he is your back up when EJ is ready. Flynn leaves. Tuel to PS if still elligible. Dixon gone. The Bills also may want to keep a more mobile QB on the team to help on scout team. With many NFL teams asking their QB's to be mobile it is good to have on ein practice to simulate that.

ESPN:NFL NATION...Bills Practice notes

The Phins front four is good but no where near as good as Cincy's. Not to mention Cincy's LB's are some of the best. Zimmer is also one of the best DC in the game. i am by no means saying this should be a cake walk or even the Bills will win. The Dolphins are going to get shown up by someone soon, i hope it is the Bills. -
kind of stinks he will miss so much time. On the other hand he comes back for December. EJ needs more playing time this year, it would be great if he came back and led the Bills on a push for the playoffs. Hopefully Thad stays healthy and the D rises up and gets the Bills to 500 by then.

ESPN NATION: QB Watch...Bills
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Kemp2Warlick's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The biggest difference between Thad and EJ to me thus far is that Thad threw a couple nice deep balls. I have yet to see EJ make those deep ball throws with the accuracy Thad displayed. I am by no means saying EJ can not make them. If anything i am saying i believe we caught a glimpse of how potent this O can be once our QB, whoever it is, can make every throw. The Bills have two deep threats on the team in Graham and Goodwin. Two very good WR's in SJ and Woods and a servicable TE in Chandler. With upgrades at OG and TE this O should put up points in bunches if the QB can become an accurate passer. I want EJ to be the guy. I understand the Bills invested a first round pick in him. But if for some reason Thad only gets better then what we saw on Sunday, you have to go with him. What if Belichick had only seen Brady as a 6th rounder? -
i want to believe that this is a step in the right direction. i am somewhat cautious to be overly excited about the turnover. I hope we are not just 'moving the deck chairs around' and that they new personel translates into better play. thus far i do believe this is a more solid team with talent. i also believe that the talent is getting maximized out of the coaching, particularly on the D side.

The 2nd wild card spot in the AFC
atlbillsfan1975 replied to KikO M G's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We should all be watching this team the second half of the season. Lets see how the team looks as the season goes along. Does the O and D look better the more time they have to play in the new systems. OR do they look worse as teams get more and more film on scheme and personel. If the team keeps growing there is nothing to believe they can not beat anyone in the league, maybe not Denver right now, but i feel that will change. The Bills have fought hard so far. Teams over the last 13 years would have folded in that Cincy game and ended up getting blown out. The D came to life late in that game, lets hope it transitions to Miami. This team feels different then the 2011 team that started 5-1. This team feels more solid. They are in every game right to the end. The Bills have a shot at the playoffs, but they are going to have to start winning on the road now. Every team left on the Bills schedule is a very possible win, except the Saints- that is going to be tough. -
NFL Week 6 Winners: Kiko and the Bills' draft class
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Seriously, The Bills need another draft like this past one in a couple areas of need- OG, TE, first two areas of need followed closely by CB, DE/DT. Heck even Graham started showing signs of life yesterday. WR is starting to look solid(please stay healthy) after the past two drafts. Good teams draft good. Find starters in the first three rounds and rotational guys in rounds 4-7. -
My gameday prognostications...
atlbillsfan1975 replied to The Senator's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lets hope they play the entire game at a high level. The D is going to get tested because i bet Lewis does not think the Bills can score often. Expect Lewis to try and get a big lead early and then come after Thad. -

atlbillsfan1975 replied to The Senator's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I totally agree with you. On paper there is absolutely no evidence to point to the Bills scoring more then 2 td's. A QB making his second start on a team he has been with for about 6 weeks. A banged up running back wide out and a OCord who is still progressing. Couple those things with Cincy's D and it does not look pretty. Also we all feel good about the secondary coming back together some what. Kiko playing good and Mario. All things point to a D battle. just ready for it to be 1 and get it going! -
how about some quick slants?
atlbillsfan1975 replied to KikO M G's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You are right. The passing game to date has been very choppy. I would love to see Thad get in a rythm. The Bills Oline is the key to today. Most guys with Thads talent level CAN play at the NFL level if you provide them with time passing and a running game. Also the Bills would be served to take advantage of Cincy's aggressive D with some WR screens. -
My gameday prognostications...
atlbillsfan1975 replied to The Senator's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
With everyone thinking a low scoring game i got to swing the other way. Reasoning suggests you guys are right, but the ball is shaped the way it is to promote chaos. I am going with 38-35 Bills win a wild one. Everyone suggests Thad is our guy. -
I wonder if people who post stuff like this are also the same people who get the most disappointed when it goes all wrong. Thad could be great and he could be ok and he could be awful. The chances of him being ok to awful are much higher then him being great. Hope the D plays awesome and Thad can manage the game. This provides the highest chance for the Bills to win. . Thad running one in and throwing one in and passing for 200yds with no turnovers would be huge. If this happens the Bills will have a great chance to be right there at the end.

For those of you missing Levitre
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Homey D. Clown's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is a no-no to collude with other teams or owners. You are correct. But i think we started to witness it this past offseason to a degree. i have a feeling it will happen more and more. And it not really collusion but more the fact that teams are sick of getting burnt by giving big contracts to one hit wonders. -
For those of you missing Levitre
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Homey D. Clown's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Levitre's greatest attribute was staying healthy. Next he was a good pass blocker and a decent run blocker. Levitre was not a big physical run blocking lineman. If the Titans felt like he was going to be a great run blocker then they did not watch film on him. He is a more 'wall off' your man. Levitre is not going to push interior Dlineman back. he does well at getting the the second level the LB's due to his agility. To me Levitre got over paid. I am not mad a Levitre everyone of us would do the same thing if someone offered us more money then we where worth. The problem comes from teams not stcking together to keep the market fair. As long as you have owners who make unwise investments, they will continue to happen. -

Marquise Goodwin Playing Catch Up
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Braedenstearns's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Way to early to make that comparison. Also Roscoe was not the brightest bulb. I still remember back to the Saint sgame in 09 when the Bills where trying to do the hurry up before half and Roscoe killed the drive because he did not know where to line up.
