Meyer will be in his mid 50's by then. Meyer is maybe the best college coach. Stay there. I just do not think the money or trying to 'prove' something will lure him to the pro's. He is smart enough to reach out to Saban and Spurrier and ask them their opinions of what the NFL is like.

Take a deep breath and think about who you are getting as the HC. His defenses have always been among the best in the league. There is some room for improvement and remember this D got better under Schwartz, it can get better under Ryan. I think Ryan will have the talent in Buffalo he has not had since his days in Baltimore. I can not wait to see what he cooks up.

Not sure if Schwartz stays or goes, but you sold me on why it is a good reason for him to stay. IF Rex and Schwartz feel they can work together i am all for it. They also seem like two guys who are not going to bs one another. They will state expectations and roles and if they match up Schwartz stays.

Gurley would be amazing, i think he will be ready to play at some point during this next season. I will say he was oft injured at UGA. He is a big powerful back with great hands and very agile. That combo does not come around often. Best thing for him could be getting hurt. Maybe he slips to the second half of the first round and goes to a more complete team. If i was Detroit i would be looking to wheel and deal up some.

I think we will find out more and more how bad Marrone was as a coach. How in over his head he was and his micro management style was not conducive for younger guys who needed time and growth. Marrone couldn't spend enough time with the kids developing them. Whaley drafted those kids last year. It is difficult for any olinemen to step right in and be successful from college to pro. There is a learning curve. I would not be surprised to see one of the guys besides Sentrel step up and be a starter.

Well to this I say I will take trying it with an OC with a proven track record of developing a pro qb over the two morons we had here.

I really think the Bills are going to try to use the guys they have already. Another year and maybe Kujo and Cyril are ready. Let's see what a new and hopefully more competent staff can do with the talent here.

I do not see too many there that would be an upgrade on the D side. Maybe some depth rotational guys?

I am not sure how i feel about this hire if it happens. I would prefer a proven OC with HC experience. I think this would help REX be a success. The OC with HC experience is key because he understands the job of HC. Imagine what we had this year in reverse. BUT the HC could actually coach his side of the ball!

makes sense for Ty. Goes back to Michigan where he is respected and revered by the fans and people in Ann Arbor. Doubt it is a huge pay cut. Ty was a better college RB by far than in the NFL. Wish him all the luck! Blaming the RB coach for what happened this year in the rushing attack is silly. Injuries and play calling, pass to rush ratio dictated a lot of that.

A good offensive staff away. The OG's are on the team now. So is the QB. Kiko back, sign Hughes. Draft Best TE in round two. Trade back into the 2nd and get best RB available. Draft DB and Linemen with the rest of picks. Playoff team right there and maybe more.

They had Chris Mortensen on Atl radio yesterday morning. They asked if anyone had been offered a HC job and he said no at first. He then quickly said' well Bill Cowher was offered the Buffalo job and he declined'. I think Jets- McDaniels Bears- Gase 49ers- Bowles Raiders-Kubiak Atl- Ryan(think he gets them a SB within 3 years) Buffalo- Bevell

I don't see a problem with Whaley having this stance. EJ is the best option for 2015 and maybe going forward if he can be coached up. Hopefully a new staff will be able to work with EJ. The talent is there. He needs work and confidence that can come from a new staff.

Nailed it. The health thing is another point not often brought up. The biggest injury was Kiko which occurred in the off season and thus the team was able to scheme with out him. The main reason this team went 9-7 was D play. We know that. IF Marrone only realized how inept he is on the O side of the ball as he is on the D side maybe the Bills would be in the playoffs! By this i mean if Marrone had hired a good OC this team is an 11 win team maybe 12, Due to Marrones ego he will not admit that himself or Hackett is in over their heads.

Maybe Johnson doesn't hire Marrone now. Johnson says all things being equal I don't want discipline action for tampering.

Honestly this is about the best thing Marrone did. After that he really did not do a darn thing great. The team Improved from 6-10 to 9-7 due to the D. PPG allowed went down over 6 points from 2013 to 2014. Marrone hired DC's he knew would be able to manage the defensive side of the ball and allow him to focus on the O. i assure you Marrone probably spent one meeting a week with his DC going over personnel and the broad strategy the DC was going to implore on game day. Marrone may have mentioned some points of concern and that was that. The offense actually got slightly worse from 2013 to 2014. I am sorry but anyone who thinks Marrone made this team better must have been watching something else then i was. Whaley and to some degree Nix are the ones to be praised for the talent they have put together.

I really wonder if the Bills have the OG on the roster already. I hope that myself and many others on here are correct that coaching was a big issue with regards to oline play. IF true Bills can spend the money on Hughes and a TE in FA. Thomas would be the first choice at TE(obviously).
