wait till the end of the season when this team finishes 7-9. With the talent Marrone has the Bills should be a playoff team. Sad but due to his inability to coach during the Texas, KC, Miami, and SD game the Bills will be on the outside looking in. Marrone is right there with the rest of the crappy coaches we have had for the past 14 years. The talent is here.

The NFL disagrees with you. it is not played that way anymore. Players can not take unnecessary cheap shots. The refs throw the flag on it every time. The one yesterday was away from the play and against a guy probably 70-80lbs lighter than Pears. Pears has been doing this crap all year. I can't wait for him to be gone. He is a poor blocker and shows he is a stupid player when he does the things he did yesterday.

Who we want to win/lose Bottom Line this week
atlbillsfan1975 replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is the easiest approach, take it week by week. Do not look ahead and keep trying to secure the WC. The NFL has had some crazy upsets already and will have more down the stretch. I have always been keep trying to narrow down your competition . I hope the Bills can rise up and be part of the mix the last 3 weeks. -
I know Atl is one of those teams and they already proved in the P. Price deal they will pay top dollar for a #2 tier player! Ha I could not agree more with you saying Hughes is most likely a 5-8sack guy. He also is average at run stuffing. I know finding another Hughes is not easy. I think the Bills will feel that with Kiko's return they will not lose much on D.
-
The thing that has begun to concern me about Hughes is Mario Williams. Coming out of NC State Mario Williams was the stud. He had two other guys on his D line drafted in the first round- Lawson and McCargo. My Concern is does Hughes look like he does due to what is on the line now. Mario, Dareus, Kyle all help Hughes become engaged in one on ones. Yes Hughes has had a great year. I think however this will be another case of him cashing in with another team and then looking more average. Bills need to find another competent pass rusher to replace Hughes. I think a quality end with pass rushing ability will excel just like Hughes has. Maybe not to the same number of sacks. There is room for improvement in the run game from Hughes DE spot though.

MMQB: Mike Martz breaks down Broncos playcalling
atlbillsfan1975 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know, i was being sarcastic.I too would take a proven OC. The last time the Bills had a great O was with Gilbride and Bledsoe . Maybe Martz and Bradford next year? -
The all Sam Bradford thread
atlbillsfan1975 replied to NextYearGuys's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like where you head is at. This team is like the best car at the track with a below average driver. IF the Bills could get a QB that could spread the ball around some and complete 4-5 big passes a game( clutch situation, not yardage) Bills have a SB caliber team. They need the guards or maybe the ones drafted last year develop. I think Bradford has the talent and will win games that Orton/EJ lost. KC, Miami, Houston, and SD are the kind he can win. -

I agree with GB, NE and Denver all being top teams and if the Bills win 2 of those 3 they will emerge as the 'sleeper' pick for a SB team. Even more so if Bills can beat Denver and NE. Manning did not look great last night and it appears Denver is trying not to put it all on him. Lets hope the D rises up and Orton proves Elway screwed up by letting him go! -
yep, and you will see him go someplace with a competent QB and OC and flourish. The guy can play, he is a burner who needs to be running routes where his speed is utilized.
-
The problem is you have a lot of guys coming in and having success in their first and second years. Putting up good numbers (maybe not great) but also winning games and going to playoffs. EJ did neither his first or second season. This is the area for concern from some. Maybe EJ will improve. I do not see it POSSIBLY happening till he gets different coaching.

15-9 Bills. Both teams have improved from the 6-3 game a decade ago -
Fred Jackson: "Whitner Dumb and an Idiot"
atlbillsfan1975 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
classy Whitner. Honestly how can a guy who almost single handedly lost a SB talk smack? Whitner got exploited by Flacco and the Ravens for being horrible at coverage. Live with it Whitner. Be quite. You are an average player who came up small on the biggest stage of them all. -
Franchise Sack Record

This was my thought. A lot of time you can give the player more cash guaranteed and cut down your cap number at the same time. Win win -

St. Louis did and the Bills D is much like theirs. Also that game was in a dome. Personally I like the outdoors better be Manning -
Franchise Sack Record

That plus i believe that all of Fitz's money is up. The Bills can resign Dareus and Hughes i think. They may need to restructure M. Williams deal some what. Right now the Bills need to keep the 'strength' they have intact, Dline. Meanwhile try to build oline through draft. -

Couple the Bills pass rush against what looks like a slowing down Manning and hopefully a motivated and focused Orton, the Denver game could be right there for the Bills. Orton seems like the type of guy that wants to show Denver they screwed up. I hope it snows like a mofo and M Williams plays like he did last night. He will put the fear of God in Manning. Oh yeah Bills first need to beat a pretty darn good Cleveland team. Hoyer is no joke. He can be had but if you let them stay around he is good enough to win in Buffalo. I would love the scenario above with a bunch of 7-5 teams and the Bills being one. It has been far too long since we had something to really cheer about in December. -
time will tell. i did not like the trade up at the time and still not thrilled with it. I am thrilled with Sammy and think he will have a great career when he plays with a good qb and can develop a relationship with that qb. Should the Bills have given up a first for a wr? I still am not sold. And yes has the other WR's from this class play well it makes it more clear the Bills did not need to trade up for a play maker. The Bills targeted one player and thus they went after him. I do like the aggressive move we have not seen in some time at One Bills Drive.

Came into UGA much hyped and he was suppose to be another great DB to come out of UGA. He never lived up to his total potential but was still a very good player. Love to see if he has progressed. Could be a nice audition. -
I was in Athens last night. I am a big UGA fan. Gurley is an amazing combo of size and speed and agility. I am sure he will come back from the injury and be a great back. He is the next Marshawn Lynch but faster stronger and better hands.
