  1. Wait, are we talking about copping a plea from a felony down to three misdemeanors, or three misdemeanors down to one?
  2. Ah, so now it's okay to blame the victim.
  3. Genius, the issue isn't being pushed into Brady, it's being pushed into his knees. And whether you can process it or not, Morris impacted Pollard's trajectory. How much, no one can say for sure, but Morris clearly re-engages Pollard, and thus there was no penalty called on the play. Now the play will be subject to a penalty because, well, you just cannot lunge after a QB after getting knocked down. Makes about as much sense as a QB needing to "tuck" the ball after a pass attempt.
  4. What I've read is that there won't be any more FA signings until after the draft, and that it's a bilateral decision, i.e. clubs don't want to sign players and players don't want to sign before the draft. There's apparently concern on the part of the players that they'll sign only to get cut if the team drafts a player to replace them.
  5. The Bills were 5-1 last year when they inquired about him, and he could have helped them a lot since the offense is what brought-down the team. As long as he doesn't go to another AFC East team, TG can rot in hell for all I care.
  6. Posturing. Jauron is expecting that guys like June, Keiaho, Goff, Simmons, and Bentley hear what he's saying and lower their prices.
  7. Because it's Tom Freakin' Brady. Why else? Carson Palmer got hit by Kimo von Oelhoffen in the 2005 season playoffs and tore his ACL and MCL, and the rule about not hitting QB's at or below the knees unless blocked-into them (not dissimilar to how Pollard was pushed down into Brady knees) was created. Yet now there needs to be another change.
  8. I've seen the tape plenty of times. But here it is again: Morris clearly pushes Pollard in the back as he gets up to go after Brady (at :05 seconds of above clip; freeze-frame it), while Brady steps-up in the pocket towards Pollard. Maybe another rule should be creted that an offensive player can't re-engage a defensive player after knocking him to the ground. It would make about as much sense as penalizing Pollard or anyone for a similar-such hit on a QB, even Brady again.
  9. Like Lynch, I want to see action, not words.
  10. What Lynch needed to learn from last year's incident was admitting his involvement from the beginning. He did that in this case. So he learned his lesson. And again, having the gun in his trunk isn't even as bad as being caught DUI (without injuring anyone, of course). How many loaded guns injure people in the trunk of a car versus when people drive under the influence?
  11. He wasn't "thrown into JP." And Pollard didn't intentionally go after Brady's knee. Get over it.
  12. Nothing different than what's happened so far.
  13. The Commish can announce a suspension, but the NFLPA will surely fight to get it reduced. And they'll use the same arguments I've been using, i.e. that the DA had a month to fully investigate last year's incident and could only find enough to charge Lynch with a traffic ticket, the pot allegations were just that and Lynch has never tested positive in the past, and a gun in his trunk isn't harming anyone, and is no different than a player getting stopped for DUI a first time.
  14. What is the "clarification?" Is this going to be just subject to a 15-yard penalty, or a suspension? If just the former, I'd still take the chance as a defender. If it's the latter, then the steps being taken to protect QB's are getting ridiculous. And this is more applicable to Wilfork, who got a 15-yard penalty anyway, than Pollard. Pollard didn't go for Brady's knees, or at least, wasn't unimpeded going after Brady. Morris was on his back as he hit Brady. It was analogous to a player blocking an opposing player into his punter.
  15. Please stop making things up. The Panthers did not "replace him." Currently they have NO ONE to replace him and it will bite them WHEN (not IF) Kalil gets injured again, much less either of their OG's. And they "didn't let him go," he was an UFA who they wanted back badly, but had ZERO cap room to keep him. As for "prov[ing] he was not good enough to start for a playoff team," he did no such thing. In reality, he proved that he could play just as capably as the regular starters. But the proof will be in the pudding, as they say. I don't believe the Bills are done addressing LG, or OLB for that matter.
  16. The problem is that "real center" has missed quite a few games for them, and when he was invariably replaced by Hangartner, the Panthers didn't missed a beat. And there has been a gaping hole at LG for years.
  17. Are you saying that Thigpen is banging Cassel now?
  18. No, the joke originally was in regards to the above poster SKOOBY, after he said he has an inside source, and that he drives a $70K BMW, as if that were validation of his source/credibility.
  19. True, but I didn't think it merited it in this case. Hardy's college number was 82 and Owens is a HOF WR, who will be able to teach Hardy skills that can make him more money that what he would get for his number. I just can't see Hardy saying "uh, TO, you owe me for the number...and can you teach me to beat the jam?"

  21. True, but there was no drop-off in performance. Ask any Panthers fan.
  22. Might as well cancel the tourney and give it to the Lady Huskies.
  23. Yep.
