The hook and lateral was executed to perfection and we're still in the playoffs. Or the Browns.
-
Agreed. Maybe he's changed but he was an absolutely god awful human being during his playing days. Treated his wife horribly. As documented by her in her book. Some people ignore that because he could throw the ball fifty yards on a dime. I don't. That's the best thing about Josh. Seems like a genuinely great dude.

This is not an original idea, every yahoo calling into WGR and posting on message boards was calling for this during the drought years lol
-
I'd like to point out that Jim Kelly called his own plays at the LOS, often in a hurry up mode, seldom with a huddle. Of course they didn't need to run too many different plays because they were so good. Those 5 Cook runs in a row are the thing that irritates me the most about the Houston game. It's just incompetence. But Allen also needs to know that he should either audible out of dumb calls or call timeout in those high leverage situations. He is the most important guy in this entire organization. He has that latitude and responsibility.

Imagine what Josh could do in an offense with NFL WRs.

This season finally does Beane in and we get someone in there who is not totally against drafting speedy, athletic, NFL caliber receivers

If Gabe Davis was in-bounds on the final drive...

This is a good point. I really feel though, that Brady botched it after that incredible play. Don't call plays that can get Josh sacked!!!!! Houston was all set up to blow this game and Brady gave it back to them, IMHO -
Have not heard a person being called "hot shot" in years. 🤭

Will Josh Allen want to stick around for a rebuild?

Dudes made plenty of money and has become the commercial face of the NFL. With an organization that absolutely refuses to help him with any nfl caliber WRs, would not surprise me at all for him to eventually request a trade. West coast kid with a pretty Hollywood starlit wife, my guess is he’ll be playing out there somewhere soon. He literally could not have given anymore to the organization than he has with what he’s had around him -
We have decent backup offensive linemen

The punter seems at least average, right? -
The team is 7-4. Everybody crying like they’re 4-7. But I guess that’s what happens when you do a lot of winning. We’ve gotten spoiled. Everything is still right in front of them.
-
There is time for Josh but Beane is wasting it. And Elway played in 3 before he turned 30.
-
Just one thing I'd like to add................We still have Josh Allen
-
Picking high will get you that. Soon, they will have to pay Stroud and they won't be able to keep this line together.
-
Matt Stafford will be 38 in Feb.

Would it be the worst thing to happen if he did sell the team? -
Josh Allen was 14th in passing yards last season. He was 18th in passing yards per game last season.
-
And he will put all of those resources into the Sabres.

Will Josh Allen want to stick around for a rebuild?

I don't see a rebuild coming but a reload is needed. Beane has done a sub-average job with the draft and free agency and the effects are cumulative over several seasons. Those problems have allowed other teams, like NE and Denver drafting earlier and having cap room to pass the Bills in talent. Free agency has been hit and miss with cap constraints caused by resigning players that under-perforn to big contracts. I think this is the biggest problem. Signing average players you should move on from to big extensions. McDermott hit his ceiling a couple seasons ago. Some argue earlier. Ownership needs to make major moves that could lead to the needed changes. Most fear Pegula won't act. I'd add without Allen this is a 5 win NFL roster. That's how bad the front office is here. One gripe is they've been throwing almost all the resources at the defense for years and they still stink. -
Feast or famine depending on the opponent. There has been a worrying decline in playoff pass performance for a few years now. It has now gotten so bad that teams can shut it down easily in the regular season, that's the difference. The problems identified against quality playoff opponents is now just always. Go look at playoff vs regular season performance, 13 seconds was our real shot.

Brandon Beane missing on his number one picks has set the team back. I'm not sure if McDermott is involved in the process or not, but considering the fact he hired Beane, I suspect so. To stay on top, when picking low every year, a team needs a very competent front office, like the Eagles. The Bills do not have this. Could we trust Pegula to hire a top tier GM, who in turn should hire the head coach, I doubt it. All we have to do is to look at the Sabres. The Bills missed their window thanks to McDermott's blunder.
