How do we feel about Higgins playing most of the game concussed?
UKBillFan replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
I've been reading the Bengals forum and the fans on there have been calling out the coaching team/medical staff for not taking Higgins out of the game for concussion too. -
Don’t feed the trolls!!

A year away? So were they supposed to even be competitive this season? Were they supposed to even win 12 or more games like they are about to this season? but it absolutely is.... the only difference is I didn't add the Texans in my rebuttal because I didn't need to, to make my point.
-
That is absolutely not what I said though.
-
You cannot say this when the Patriots have already beaten yall in yall house. Thats contradictory... to say Baltimore, Cincy or KC would be the only teams to beat Buffalo when New England has already beaten Buffalo and all of those other teams are either eliminated or close to and they weren't even good enough to beat non playoff teams to even make it to the post season to begin with. This is too easy.
-
They’ve hit the wall after making five Super Bowls in six years. Out of gas. Can they retool without prime Kelce and Chris Jones? Not sure about that. It is great to see them like this, though
-
Well, all of Vegas must be biased then as they have Buffalo as 1.5 point favorites next week in New England who's coming off a bye so I'm not the only one. I still think you guy's are a year away and benefited from a ridiculously easy schedule. I don't know how Maye will perform when the pressure is on in the playoffs. I don't trust Vrabel in the playoffs given his track record.
-
If none of Cincy, Baltimore or KC make it the ONLY and I mean ONLY team in the playoffs with a chance to beat the Bills best punch is the Texans and that is because those two pass rushers are an elite level strength and two years in a row we have had no answers for them. The problem for the Bills this year is their own inconsistency - which is partly the injuries... as Sean said last week they have barely been able to get the same starting defense on the field for two consecutive games all season but is also partly they have looked slightly like the Brady Patriots occasionally looked in the mid-Belichick / Brady era to me - a team bored of the regular season and knowing in week 1 that it is all about the playoffs. And the Bills are not talented enough to just roll regardless in some key spots. If the Bills are at 80% of their best then I think New England can beat them. Denver can beat them. Jacksonville (our bogey team anyway) can beat them. The question is just how close to the best version of themselves can Buffalo be come the post-season?

Buffalo is the 2nd best team in the AFC

Thank you, tiddlywinks. -
Yeah right, Bengals defense is ranked in the top 7 like Patriots defense lol. And did y'all not score until late in that game vs the league's worse defense in Cincy? Wasn't Higgins concussed but Gesicki went off? If you give up yards like that to TEs then Hunter Henry should feast. I love this playful banter back and forth. Trash talking is fun.

Ja'Marcus Ingram claimed by Houston
GunnerBill replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
The only thing I'd slightly challenge is the comparison to Dane.... I think they are about equal as outside corners, but Ingram can do a multitude of jobs whereas Dane is a single purpose player. That's why one was on the roster and the other on the PS. I agree that in his game time this year Ingram really struggled, but that was a bit of a change from 2024 where we has serviceable at nickel and dime early in the year when we had injuries and even played a bit of outside corner and did okay. He isn't someone we should cry about losing, but he is a bottom of a 53 rosterable player in the NFL. That's why another credible team with playoff aspirations in Houston picked him up. My frustration with this is less about the principle of losing Ingram and more about the principle of giving up anything, even if it is just a versatile bottom of the roster jack of all trades, master of none to chase a 34 year old corner. Forget the names, that is just bad process. No he is better than a PS guy. He is a versatile bottom of a 53 guy. He played better in '24 than he did in '25. I wish him the best. -
You cannot do that. Lets be adults about this, the Patriots would have beaten you twice, won the division and progressed to 12-2. It doesn't matter how the Patriots beat you, 3 turnovers, 1 turnover, whatever thats one of the ways teams beat other teams. At that point you are just being extreme biased and not realistic. Whats their record? What is the Bills record? And even with that I'm being nice despite the records and yall STILL cannot appreciate that lol football fans are loyal to a fault almost lol we all are as fans.

Game week thread - Bills at Patriots
Never NEVER Give-up replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
I wasn't sure about this, so I checked the tie-breakers (you're right!) . . . If we beat the Pats and win-out, we're 13-4. If the Pats lose to the Jets or Fish, they also finish 13-4. Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games between the clubs). - Tie (1-1) Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division. Tie (both 4-2) Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games. Tie (10-2) Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference. Bills win: 9-3 (losses to Pats, Texans & Dolphins) vs 8-4 (losses to Raiders, Steelers, Bills, Jets or Dolphins) (Pats MUST lose to Jets or Dolphins, otherwise they would win tie-breaker #2) Strength of victory in all games. Strength of schedule in all games Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed in all games. Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed in all games. Best net points in common games. Best net points in all games. Best net touchdowns in all games. Coin toss -

If you had those 4 teams in the playoffs right now and each team needs to win a game against one of the other teams, the Patriots would be the least likely to win out of the 4 in my opinion. Guess we will see. Doesn’t matter what any of us think though as they will play the games and it will show. -
My "instincts" say we are going to crush the Patriots' spirit Sunday. Beat down.
-
It's really close at the top but even if we lose next week I'd still put the Bills over the Pats come playoff time. That's only if we get Bosa, Oliver, Palmer, and Kincaid all back at full health for that game. That may be a big ask. Palmer would also help. That Pats game took 3 turnovers (two inside our own 30) and one nearing the red zone and they still won by only three in the first matchup. The AFC is the most wide open it's been in a long time. I'd pry rank them right now in who I think will make the playoffs as Bills, Texans, Patriots, Broncos, Jaguars, Chargers, and Steelers. The first six being really close.

Despite the record that Denver has.. as a Pats fan I feel like Buffalo is better. I got 1. Patriots, 2. Buffalo, 3. Broncos, and then not sure where everyone else falls.. maybe Texans?
-
I forgot to record the Bills-Bengals game. I like to rewatch games after attending them to see the TV-camera perspective - different than my end-zone-corner-view. Does anyone know if/when the NFL Network will re-broadcast the game? It was one of the better games Sunday, so I would expect it to be shown - but it's hard finding out WHEN it will be on and I don't want to miss it (again)!.
-
Ok? lol I don't really care my guy. Just excited for the game between the two best teams in the AFC remaining in the playoffs right now.

Game week thread - Bills at Patriots

Sounds like a Pats fan. That's ok. In this thread, you will write novels until game time. We'll just read. Thanks. -
This isn't the same Patriots team from the last few years lol every year is a different year. They emerged a year ahead of schedule but they are legit contenders. I've already said that Buffalo and New England are the two best teams and I give Buffalo flowers as in Id say Buffalo is better than Denver despite Denver's schedule, I just feel New England is the most complete, discipline, well coached team led by an emerged Elite trigger man at QB who looks like a generational talent thus far with a historical playcaller coaching him and an elite head coach also coaching him who between both have numerous superbowl titles.

Whatever happens this week happens - I feel really confident we'll win, btw BUT!!! If we lose to the goddamn Patriots in the playoffs this year, I am absolutely done with BB and SM. I will be completely numb to this team if either of them are retained after a loss like that. -
Its not hype its the truth. You can feel how you want about it but it is what it is. The toughest matchup on the Buffalo Bill schedule to a team that already beat them in THEIR house before their win streak really started and they really knew who they were. They are 11-2 where other good teams have lesser record and loss to teams they weren't supposed to. It is what it is.
