  1. Past hour
  2. You're assuming we're making the Playoffs. We're 2 games under the Patriots in the Division. We'd have to beat them in their house and close a 2 game gap to get the Division. That's looking unlikely with the way they're playing and the way we're playing. And a Wild Card isn't a given. Right now we're slotted to have the 6th Place Wild Card. But when you're 2-3 in the last 5 games and dropping to the friggin' Falcons and Dolphins - idk how you can look at any game with confidence.
  3. The Bears have the same record as we do so how does that make Ben better than Sean? Do you see how bad their defense is? There offense might be a hair better than the Bills is that due to coaching or not having "the worst WR group in the league"? Vrable's done good things in New England no doubt. Yet I want to see what they do in the playoffs based on Vrable's previous struggles there.
  4. Dolphins had 10 players lining up right at LOS and we run a WR sweep.
  5. They came from behind and beat a healthy Baltimore squad throwing the ball so they can do it. James Cook didn’t even go off that game. Right now they’re not getting what they need from Coleman and it’s hurting them. I think a healthy Gabe Davis can give us more than what Keon is right now and once we get Palmer back I think will see improvement from the offense
  6. They ran the same play they showed before the timeout 🫤
  7. I don’t disagree with you, I think it’s scandalous how Beane in particular has been in getting Josh the help he deserves since Diggs left, I think he’s really bought into all this big baller Beane cr*p and thinks he’s a celebrity now that he’s on Pat McAfee. I’m just trying to see a way for this season to not be a disaster though and I still think there’s enough to pull it round if Josh sorts his head out. Although to me “pulling it round” means getting to the divisional as anything can happen after that, and doing that probably won’t get rid of Beane and he’ll do the same next season so maybe long term that’s not the best thing, so it’s a tough one whether to continue as is and hope for that bit of luck to get over the hump or blow it up as we’ve probably only got 3-4 years left of Josh at an elite level imo (he’s not Brady or even Stafford, he’ll never be a pocket passer it’s not in his DNA)
  8. The difference is that Josh Allen was playing as the best player in the world. If he regressed to “great player” this was going to be the result. The margin for error is nonexistent. The thought that, “it doesn’t matter who is out there because Josh will cover for them” is beyond flawed. They should have built a roster to turbocharge him. Instead they said, “we will focus ALL of our energy elsewhere and you can overcome it.” The Bills philosophy is the exact opposite of what it should be. It should be build around Josh and address everything else after that. The chose to try to focus on everything else and whatever is left can try to help Josh. It’s malpractice.
  9. Total playoff preview
  10. The issue isn’t, “can the Bills beat every NFL team?” That’s a yes. On any given day the Bills can beat any team in the NFL(and probably by multiple scores). The issue is, “can the Bills win 3 or 4 consecutive playoff games to win the title?” I don’t know how anyone can say yes at the point. They could have lost to Miami in the first matchup and got whooped by them the second time. The Saints were looking for the go ahead score late. They were pounded by Atlanta. It took a miracle to beat Baltimore. It isn’t a case of the Bills not being able to look good or win a game. It’s about them being too limited to win once the playoffs start. They can’t win from behind because their WRs suck and they can’t stop the run. So they need to throw to guys that aren’t open and try to stop teams from running despite giving up 5.5 YPC (or whatever it is now). You can’t have the worst WRs in the league AND give up the most YPC in the NFL. You can’t win 4 straight playoff games like that. The Bills can only win one way and that’s a major problem.
  11. This is the bit of the season where the team is very up and down, confusing the hell out of us by being great sometimes and dreadful the others. We're almost at the crisis point where it feels like the season is over and we're not even going to make the playoffs. But don't worry, the bit where our backs are against the wall and we churn out the necessary wins to hit the playoffs on a high is not far around the corner. But then another key injury or two will occur along the way...let's say....Bosa and Shakir....and we will ultimately lose to the Chiefs or Ravens in the playoffs. Those who like McBeane will point to another playoffs made and the "bad luck" with injuries. Those who want McBeane gone will point to another season of Josh's prime wasted by forcing him to work miracles with a sub-par team around him. Then we'll watch all the best free agents land elsewhere while we give hefty extensions to our own mediocre guys. Aaaand then we'll draft players who fit the current scheme/culture but which don't address the actual needs we have to push us over the top. And we'll see the same thing happen again next season, only Josh will be another year older. I think it's time to press the button and make the change at the top - or else we're forever going to be left wondering "what if", and Josh will either be a HoF guy with no rings, or he'll win one somewhere else.
  12. If Gabe is healthy he can give us more than what Coleman is giving us right now. At least he has history and chemistry with Josh. We desperately need Palmer back
  13. They had a similar WR room last year (minus Cooper) and figured it out, the biggest thing is that Josh Allen isn’t playing well and seems to be in his own head, if they sort that out then the team wins 90% of home games even with the receivers we have. Having said that, I expect us to run it down tampa’s throat the same as we did KC
  14. Nah, ***** em anyway. The right play is always the push. They have effectively neutered Allen now and he is much less dangerous with his legs than in the past, taking the push away all the time is another hit.
  15. I’m still not in panic mode. I was a bit skeptical at first but the dominant win vs. KC gave me assurance that this team can still get to where they want to go. Right now the offense is not helping the defense. We really need Josh Palmer back to give our a WR room a jolt especially now that Kincaid is likely going to be out for a few weeks with his hammy
  16. In what world would a fake tush push pass play that's not a quick hitter ever work? In a short-yardage situation where the "tush push" is likely, the secondary is never actively focused on coming up to support the run. They won't be "deceived" to crash the LOS because they are not part of the initial defensive push. So is Brady slow? Why would he think this is a play that would ever work? The thing that infuriates me is that they had to practice at some point during the year and noone on this staff or even a player questioned it? Like really? Wtf **Disclaimer: If the All22 comes out and shows that this was suppose to be a quick hitter pass play that Josh didn't end up throwing, my apologies**
  17. Daboll was right about the offense and McD was wrong. The heavy TE set rushing offense with Allen should be criminal. Beane also talked a lot of ***** about the Whaley cap management, but look at how awful the current roster is with no space. I'd force my way out like Eichel if I'm Allen, the Pegulas are not good owners and it will take more time for action. Who are they going to throw to? If Kincaid is hurt it's over. The secondary is about to be lit up bad by Tampa.
  18. Some people have perfectly reasonable points and I respect the opinion about how bad we are and should blow it up etc… even if I don’t agree with it (yet), but some people are so hysterical it’s hilarious to read. Probably the same type of people who were saying when we were 4-0 how they didn’t see any games that we’d lose for the whole season. Has everyone forgotten that we went 7-6 twice in the last few years and then pulled it around to end the season 11-6 both times and end up 13 seconds and a missed throw to Shakir from being in the AFC championship both times? We’re 6-3 and one game behind the patriots, I’m not happy with how we’re playing but the sky hasn’t fallen in yet, the injuries on defence are a killer but I expect a strong reaction next week against the buccs, if we get hammered again (at home) then I’ll start to worry a bit more but not yet
  19. McDermott is a legend. HC for life. Can't do anything wrong. It's always someone else's fault
  20. wasted energy. It’s not happening. Right now the offense is not helping the defense. Thats our issue. Defense is on the field way too much
  21. Today
  22. This isn't crazy, the Bills only consistent receiving threat is an undersized TE that can't stay on the field. When he is gone they can just play the sticks up and beat our offense. It's over guys and gals, they have wasted another year of Allen and with the contracts they have it will be a loss for at least 2-3 more years. Anyone looking at it pragmatically can see it.
  23. *200 rushing yards allowed again *uncharacteristic turnovers *bad decisions on crucial downs How many times are we going to repeat these trends? I realize that this was an almost meaningless game, but in order to be truly great, you have to have the same mentality every single game.
  24. I think you're really underestimating how truly bad this core is. Teams aren't producing with these guys. The announcers are practically laughing at how bad they are at getting open on a weekly basis. This isn't to say the coaching helps. But I don't think there's any amount of "creativity" that's going to make Keon Coleman, Curtis Samuel, Elijah Moore, and Tyrell Shavers get open when they simply can't create separation against even single man coverage.
  25. No I can't take a breath. McBeane has had eight years to figure this out. I've been waiting 52 years for a title. The best QB in franchise history is being wasted. McDermott has taken a Ferrari and turned it into a Prius. This game is just another in a growing line of McDermott disasters. Team was completely unprepared yesterday and came out like it was a casual pick up game on a Saturday with a keg of beer on the sideline.
  26. I've seen enough of the McDermott era. This game was a preview of what will ultimately happen again when it matters most.
  27. I just saw the other thread "This staff doesn’t take every game seriously" after posting. That's kind of an expansion on the idea of, yeah, we are intentionally keeping things simple, directing effort to conservative and basic game planning, managing the load over the season and not giving full effort each week.
