A Few Thoughts About The Game

what-the-!@#$-ever. Trent Edwards is Kelly Holcomb, only younger. He sucks on ice. Hell he sucks NOT on ice. He sucks like a porn star in a bukake video. He is a steaming soft pile of crap back there, and that's an insult to steaming soft piles of crap. What other NFL QB would check down on a freaking 4th-and-forever late in the 4th? I know one who does ALL THE TIME!

It's Captain "Dinky" Checkdown, that's who. (Thanks to the Dingo for that one.)

You blast me for my complaints about Whitner as a #8 and that's OK Joe.

That said, you, as a Losman lover really lack anything relevant to say about Trent, or perhaps anything else about the Bills offense or this game. In any event, give it a try.

For the 8965th time, I'm not a Losman lover, I'm an Edwards skeptic. From day one, all the guy has shown is a lack of a sack. Whitner at the very least makes SOME plays. When's the last time Trent's done anything that made you say "wow! look at that!" I'll be patient and wait, because you're not going to find anything positive about Mr. Milquetoast. He's Jauron's ideal QB.

What games have you been watching? We should have won against the Pats, and we held the best offense in the league to 27 points (10 off of turnovers) and the best QB in the league to NO TD's. We are very close, very close to putting this together.

Tired or not, the defense gave up 126 yards and two TDs in little more than a quarter to a RB making his first appearance in a game this year.

The defense played well, but they crumbled in crunch time again. Unfortunately, they are not close.

No, by that time the game was officially in garbage time.

Crunch time was when the offense could have gone ahead 14-10, and instead crapped out. That 4Q punt was the white flag of surrender.

You brought Losman into the discussion. You are deflecting the conversation when people are rightfully pointing out that Edwards sucked today. It seems that in lack of an adequate defense of Trent, you are resorting to attempting to go on a tangent. Yes, you did say that he did not do well but there is no reason to get so defensive about Trent.

Bill, you really need to stop throwing the Losman lover crap to deflect Trent criticism. I hope Trent can improve, but I am still seeing the same traits as before when he throws an INT, he goes into a shell takes the dink and dunk route. He needs to show more confidence and take more shots down the field.

Whitner makes some plays, does he? More than Trent? OK Joe.

You will always have my respect as a veteran and an actual war hero. Hope to see you once again at RWS.:censored:

The 4th qtr punt is about making the opponent have to drive down the field and earn a score opposed to hading them a gimme with great field position. While I don't like the end result of NO scoring, it was the right call.

Your avitar says a lot. Do you watch OT play at all? Seriously?

When you're down by 2 scores with 7:00-something on the clock?

Not so sure.

That's the MO of some of the ardent Edwards supporters - they automatically label anyone who offers a criticism of Edwards a Losman fanboy/lover/etc. Guess that's what happens when you have no substantive defense to the criticism

My avatar is based on a joke. You go ahead read more into it. Yeah, I watched TO today. He didn't do anything. I didn't see Trent getting into his face to get him back into the game either.

I don't agree with the punt call, but I would hardly call the 8 minute mark in a 10 point game garbage time. I doubt the Smith/Talley led Buffalo defenses of the '90s would call that 'garbage time.'

Add to the fact that the defense gave up 14 points in the Pats game, and it's apparent that this defense has difficulty closing games.

What do you see when you watch football games? Did you or did you not watch the OTs get slaughtered on passing downs? I am NOT trying to be a wiseass. Did you notice this at all?

I understand completely what you are saying. Technically 7 minutes with and 2-3 timeouts that is plenty of time. I still say you take a chance with the D and field position.

It's an ambiguous call. With the defense and offense playing the way they were to that point (well and poorly, respectively)...it's the call I would have made. Put the ball at midfield, same down-and-distance...that's another story.

I don't feel the need to make excuses for anybody - the OL sucked today, as did the QB.

The OL sucked last year, too - with Jason "All Pro" Peters.

I saw the game. While the OT's did not have a good day, Trent still had chances and did not take them.
