I call B.S. on this. Wearing the wrong shoe for one game causes a sprain that keeps you out 4 weeks??? I doubt it...

I don't, I'm sure T.O. knows what he's talking about, some shoes probably give you better support then others. TO probably went to push off and sprained his toe because he's a big man with tremendous power, a stiffer shoe may prevent this from happening.

He has no reason to lie about it.

More ankle support, yeah? More toe support?

I've never heard of anything like this, and frankly it doesn't sound right. Wrong shoe, maybe. Wrong shoe causing the injury .... doubt it.

Wrong shoe = I dont want to play in meaningless games, wake me up for the regular season

That just means he's been talking to Favre.

Hey, I have had bad shoes before, they really hurt. And not being at work gave me more time to make sure the diamonds on my ear glistened brightly.

The shoe would have a less flexible sole, I'm not sure it would even be that noticeable.

Wrong type of shoe for a type of field he's not used to, maybe...

True that, traction could play a major role.
