I knew these liberal politicians were arrogant, but it's clear that they're certifiable. "It's not us who's wrong, it's them! They're nothing but a right-wing wacko organized mob. We know that the real Americans love our plan." But to just show up and shout them down so there can't be a civil discourse is just an attempt to shut down debate and get some publicity. I don't like it when Code Pink does it on the left, and I don't like it when these Astroturfers (faux grassroots) do it, because it just turns the debate into a shouting match. If you really have a different viewpoint, then show up and engage in some honest debate and offer alternatives. Just following the marching orders of Dick Army and other lobbyists, and shouting people down and saying "No" isn't going to solve any problems. Got back a form letter detailing why he supported it. And that's really my point. I left a message with my congressman and got a form letter back, as well. No one called to ask what my thoughts were. It was simply, "Here's my position." That's what is happening all over the place, so naturally when elected officials consistently respond to their constituents with a form letter, then when they finally open the big doors for feedback, people are going to start yelling. But, y'know, people really aren't upset. They're just fringe astro-turfing teabagging birthers put in place by the insurance industry to disrupt the approval of a plan that has absolutely, positively no plan to it.
