and the poor guy doesn't even get a mention here (unless I've missed it).

For those of you who called him a bust during the first half of his first season...take a deep breath and relax.

That's how all the Bills fans are. They expect immediate results, or they cry. I'm sick of it, and I am ashamed to call myself a Bills fan with all of these whining bitches running their ignorant mouths all the time.

Then go cheer for the Lions. There fans lap up mediocrity by the bowl full. Sorry we all can't be a pathetic loser like you miring themselves in mediocrity for the rest of our lives. Some of us would like the Bills to strive for excellence. I mean those of us who actually remember teams past the 90s....

Not sure if this has been posted, but I got a text from bb.com that McKelvin got rookie of the month honors. For al those that were calling him a bust, I have seen a lot from him the past few weeks. He seems to be a great return man, and he is becoming a very soid cover corner. Without those BS calls agaisnt him last week, the outcome might have been different.

They haven't even played a game this month! That's respect.

I always see these posts "for all those that were calling him a bust." Did people actually say that? Just because someone was criticizing the team drafting McKelvin, doesn't necessarily mean they called him a bust. I don't remember seeing that at all.

Um, yes plenty of people did. Here ya go:

http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showt...871&hl=bust "Bills blew the 1st round of the draft...."

http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showt...867&hl=bust "Dominic Rogers-Cromartie..2 picks today, we drafted a illiterate stuttering project."

http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showt...074&hl=bust "Defend these players to me, Leodis McKelvin and Robert Royal"

http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showt...758&hl=bust "Is it still to early to call, Leodis McKelvin, James Hardy and Chris Ellis busts?"

http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/columns/story/493112.html Jerry Sullivan:McKelvin provides little help"

This is only a sample of what was said about McKelvin on this board. I never believed he was a bust because he's still a rookie. And to tell the truth, I was pretty surprised he won Rookie of the Month honors in Nov. Obviously, he's been sick as a punt returner, but I thought he only had the one great game against the lowly Chiefs, a few good outings, and some pretty terrible coverage on a few key plays in Nov (that early SF TD last week). Maybe its more of the fact that there really werent too many other rookies out there last month that played stellar on special teams while also having a career game on one side of the ball.

But again, he's a rookie, and rookie years don't really determine all that much for how they will play the rest of their career, save a few exceptional players every year. I think he'll turn in to a great player, but I wouldnt read too much into how he's performed this year. And hopefully he can top that career game time and time again.

Note that not one of those quotes actually calls McKelvin a bust, though.
