Who sets up for a 50 yard FG with a 1st & 10 and over a minute lef

Yes. we're just about in field goal range after Royal catches that ball. But we still need more yards, especially since the kick is into the wind. Definitely want to try to get it inside 40 yards if possible.

After the first run, it was clear that Cleveland was going to use all three timeouts to give themselves enough time to take the kickoff and get into FG range again. But that is predicated on them being able to stop us from getting a first down. So in order to take that option away, YOU NEED TO GET THE FIRST DOWN. By doing so, not only do you prevent them from getting another chance, but you also get the ball at least 10 yards closer. Yes, you risk a turnover, as you always do -- but ACTUALLY TRYING to get a first down gets you a shorter FG into the wind AND prevents them from a comeback.

THAT'S why you actually MAKE AN ATTEMPT to get a first down, instead of frigging GIVING UP and settling for a difficult FG into a strong wind, with a chance for them to come back.

Unbelievable. It's not rocket surgery.

Seriously. How conservative can you get. This playing not to lose as opposed to playing to win has got to stop. IT DOESN'T WORK DICK. Take a couple strikes and set up a more makeable FG for goodness sake. Three straight runs up the middle?

Moreover, trying to score a TD with over a minute to go given that their freaking field kicker can make it from 60 yards might have been worth a shot ... It's not as if the Browns secondary isn't godawful and we didn't just pay 43 million to a WR to make a play once every three games.

Better than throwing a pick in that situation.. + Cleveland was calling timeouts.. blame the O-line for not blocking on those plays

right...the Bills didn't throw a pass father than 10 yards all game...no reason to think why Browns wouldn't have 8 in the box...

You've perfectly encapsulated the mindset of a coach striving for 8-8 seasons.

NO. Not tonight. The O-line was flat out dominant tonight. The line was playing to make sure no one hit Lynch for a loss. They got 1-2 yards for 3 straight plays. Not their fault.
