Wecome to Buffalo

sadly enough of this board's demeanor, if this article was bashing buffalo you would have 5 pages of posts right now.

Ha! No doubt...Sad but true...

All that goes for $795 a month, a price that, Herbeck points out somewhat sheepishly, as though she’s revealing a guilty indulgence, is at the top end of the rental market in Buffalo.

Seems like a bit of an NYC backhanded compliment here...Like low rent is something to be ashamed of; instead, we should insist on getting dragged over the coals for a closet-sized apartment??....And while $800/month is above the median in Buffalo, there are about a dozen new downtown buidlings with renovated lofts that are comparable with high-end living in other cities. They EASILY exceed $800/month.

good find, good article.

I liked the article, but I don't see the wondrous benefits of crafting Buffalo as some sort of Bohemian paradise. The part about fixing up the dilapidated houses for the underprivileged is great, but without good jobs Buffalo will run no shortage of underprivileged.

Also, bicycles lack tailgates. How can you 'tailgate' without a tailgate?
