I've met people from NYC, Long Island and Westchester county that I did like but unfortunately a few bad apples really spoiled the lot. I went to a SUNY school that was primarly NYC area kids. They left an impression that I will never lose. well, there are a lot of people on this thread that I like, but unfortunately one bad apple really spoiled the lot.... Sorry you were unable to connect those dots. I get the sense you're taking a side just to take a side so I'll lay off with the Stern criticisms for now and just be thankful he's off the public airwaves. Still, when you all gather to talk about how brilliant his latest interview with Jenna Jamison and her Traveling Fake Orgasm Show is, at least you'll understand when I take an opposing side just to, you know, take a side. Problem was that Millers comments were going over the head of todays Joe Six Pack, whereas when Howard was around, people took more pride in being intelligent. Cosell was totally different from anyone before him, and his schtick was unique & innovative. Miller was also totally different from anyone before him, but his schtick was not funny at all, which is why he was a bust... bottom line, he's just lame, and has been a failure in everything he's done post-SNL... really, even on SNL, he sucked. Political humor is the last refuge for bottom-of-the-barrel comedians who can't cut it anywhere else (see Bill Maher, Jon Stewart, Don Imus) I've read that Limbaugh was the one who was truly being set-up to be the next Cosell. The plan was for him to get his feet wet for a year on NFL Gameday & then slide into the MNF booth. Now I'm not a Rush fan at all, but if he hadn't blown it with the McNabb incident, I think he would've been far, far more successful than Miller.
