Forget about TD, MM & EM, it all starts at the top. I think Golisano will be the next owner of the Buffalo Bills. By owning the Sabres he has built up his resume and when the Bills become available, I believe he will drop the Sabres and move up to play with the big boys.

Notice that I said the next owner of the BUFFALO Bills as I don't believe the NFL will allow this franchise to be moved out of WNY.

PS This is assuming he gives up his aspirations for public office.

Before I'd support Golisano, I have to see how he handles the Sabres. His first year showed me NOTHING good. His moves (or lack of them) this year, again, showed me NOTHING at all. So far, the team is performing. Let's see if he can be a good and classy owner for a few years before placing our beloved Bills in his hands.

JJ and Rich would be good options as they have pretty good sports-team experience and would likely keep the team in the Bufftown. Right now the team is Ralph's and he's not selling or moving it. That's all good as far as I'm concerned.

I'm still pissed at Bob Rich for that blank check waving charade at the owners meeting many moons ago, when he led everyone to believe that he was going to bring MLB to Buffalo.

Of course, Golisano bought a team in a league headed for a labor dispute and lockout. Who in their right mind would do anything in that situation?

the man spent over $100 million of his own cash on two destined-to-fail runs for Governor. Who in their right mind would do that?

Correct me if im wrong but, I believe if you own an nhl team you are not allowed to own a franchise from another sport, thus ruling out jacobs and golisano. I could be wrong but that's what I thought.

L-Blue says Mr. Paychex would have to drop the Sabres in his post. There's been talk of Jacobs selling/trading franchises in the past to accomodate owning a Buffalo team. Who knows?

Wayne Huizenga owned both the Marlins and the Dolphins for a period of time.

Neither of those are NHL teams...but, I'm sure you had a point lurking there somewhere.

I said other but I have no idea whom.

The team will likely cost the new owner between $500 and $600 million to buy, which is chep as NFL teams goe. Maybe it will be slightly lower but doubtful espically if the new owner isn't willing to sign a tougher lease agreement.

It will likely be someone outside of WNY that buys the team and hopefully they are willing to try to keep them in town. Otherwise, LA here comes the Bills.

The new owner will be Mark Hamister.  He'll move the team to the Canadian side of the Peace Bridge, and the Canadian gov't will build a new stadium complex complete with a casino and Canadian ballet.

I know you're joking but if you're not, the NFL wouldn't allow a casino association with an NFL team. Tampa's owner, Malcom Grazier bought Manchester United (soccer team in England) but he had to dump a casino deal with that club because the NFL would have threaten his ownership in Tampa.

I think that is an MLB rule you're thinking of, but I'm not sure. And there are exceptions, like Huizenga.

Who are the next two below Golisano? We haven't heard of them in NYC.

Jacobs (Buffalo guy) is CEO of Deleware North (a Buffalo company) that owns the Boston Bruins and SportsService. Bob Rich (Buffalo guy) owns Rich Products and the Buffalo Bisons.

And what have the Boston Bruins done since Jeremey Jacobs has owned them. nothing but watch the bottom line and have the highest concession prices in the league. Look at the player problems over the last 10 years for the Bruins. The NFL would never approve him
