you should go to their message board. It's not unusual that a fan base is bleeding after an ugly loss but the attitude is indeed dire.

Kelce roasted today BIGTIME. Andy Reid too

I admit to enjoying dancing on their graves today.

Chiefs fans are being ridiculous talking about how Andy Reid needs to retire. I've watched every Chiefs game this year and the coaching in all three phases is still by far the best thing they have going for them. Their biggest problem is talent.

Rice is a very good WR, I'd say he's a borderline #1/#2. Kelce is still good but not in his prime obviously. After that is a bunch of JAGs. The IOL is still very good but with Trey Smith's injury they lose that advantage. The OTs have been a MASH unit.

The situation on defense is arguably even worse. Chris Jones can turn it on when he really needs to but he is not consistently as dominant as he was in his prime. Nobody else on the DL scares you at all. McDuffie is being forced into a full time outside CB role and he just can't handle big physical WRs. The rest of the secondary is middling. The LBs are good but that's not enough. Spagnuolo is holding that thing together almost entirely on his own.

Oh and the one thing nobody wants to talk about... Mahomes has played below his previously elite standard for the past three years. I thought he would bounce back this year but he really hasn't. He misses a ton of wide open deep throws which takes TDs off the board. His on schedule passes are too frequently off target or poorly timed. The last INT last night where everyone is clowning on Kelce, this is the picture at the catch point:

That is not really a clean drop, that is poor ball placement. It happens to every QB but it's been a bigger problem with Mahomes than anybody talks about. He can still make magic happen with his legs but that isn't sustainable over the course of an entire game, and he no longer has a defense that can keep the opponent down long enough for Mahomes to get into a groove.

I don't know what Chiefs fans are watching but the coaching is elevating a mediocre roster and inconsistent QB play, not the other way around.

As long as they have Mahomes and Reid, they will have a chance. They need to fix their WR room, get a legit RB who is a threat, will need a TE to replace Kelce, replace Taylor at RT (bet $$$ he's cut), and upgrade the Secondary.

Salary Cap - They are scheduled to be between $32M-$42M over (depending on the site), but resigning Mahomes alone will take care of that. Or they can free up a vast majority of the $$$ by kicking it down the line. They can restructure Chris Jones, Humphrey, and Trey Smith.

WR - They could go all in on Justin Jefferson, or take a shot at AJ Brown. Either of those two puts the offense right back in business combined with Rice and Worthy. The FA crop is week, but they could go after Deebo.

RB - I think this year has value in the draft at RB in the first 3 rounds. You have Jeremiyah Love and Jadarian Price from Notre Dame. Kaytron Allen and Nicholas Singleton from Penn St. Emmett Johnson from Nebraska. Justice Haynes from Michigan. I could see them going after one of these guys.

TE - I could see them going after Njoku, who is scheduled to be a FA, or possibly even Kyle Pitts. I bet you Andy Reid could figure out the best way to use Pitts and he would turn into another weapon in the passing game for Mahomes.

RT - They could go after Braden Smith of the Colts who is about to be a FA. Jonah Williams, who is still somehow only 28 years old. If not, this could be a high draft pick for them.

Secondary - There are 8 legit Safety prospects in the first 3 rounds. There are 8 Round 1-2 CB's. Any of them could possibly help their Secondary.

I think the way all of it plays out is determined by how much money they shift around, and the needs they try to meet via trade or in FA. The rest will be left to the draft. Like I said, a trade for Jefferson or AJ Brown, coupled with Njoku or Kyle Pitts, and that offense could be a problem again. I thought Brady and the Pats were dead two times before he finally left and went to Tampa. I wouldn't get too excited just yet.

Their OL is a COMPLETE mess.

its no coincidence the last time the Chiefs offense was lethal is when they had Orlando Brown who, while not an All-Pro, is at least an NFL caliber quality OT.

Season after season, Mahomes has gotten beat up and as a result, has gotten happy feet and gotten sloppy.

We take it for granted with Josh (who also can sometimes fall victim to getting beat up and it affecting his play) but it’s clearly worn on Mahomes.

Veach isn’t a bad GM, but his decision to prioritize IOL over OT while Kelce rapidly aged out of being a quality safety outlet is backfiring.

couldnt happen to a nicer group of guys. What a shame.
