Trump_is_Mentally_fit Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Long shot for Dems in a seat GOP won by over 20% but who knows what can happen in a low turnout race. This clip of the Dem is in Franklin where a great battle was fought in the Civil War. I visited the battlefield there and the house it was fought around is still there. Very high casualties on both sides.

Roundybout Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Probably a GOP hold but it’ll be way closer than the presidential election margin . 1
Joe Ferguson forever Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago this is worth watching. D up by 3% with 43% of the vote in. too early to call. early voters went overwhelmingly D so that could change quickly.

This wouldn’t be remotely close if it was a midterm or general year.

Big Blitz Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago 45 minutes ago, Roundybout said: Winning by 4% in a place Trump carried by 22% should be clanging alarm bells 10. And it’s a special election on December 2nd in an off year. Not a presidential one. Every Democrat is going to show up or create votes no matter the election bc Trump bad. They are the high turnout party now because it’s the only way they feel they can “resist.” Unless they post on social media the cheering on of assassins that shoot conservatives. But other than that, they are voting to resist!! They should be favored to WIN every single special election bc low propensity voters are Republicans now - they’ll vote in mid terms and presidential elections. This used to be reversed. All part of realignment.

Not sure what the true makeup is as I doubt it’s as low as that or as high as what Trump did. And Republicans certainly need a gameplan for next year. I’d agree. The party in power usually gets rocked and Trump has spent most of his first year being the world’s President and not focusing on our economy. That said, Republicans are the working class party. I know you don’t want to hear that, but they are. Democrats are the party of the “educated”, wealthy and poor. They vote. Politics, in many cases, replaces religion or family as their reason for being. Republicans vote when they’re supposed to.. midterms and general elections. Special elections and off year elections, it’s a friggin nightmare trying to get these people to care.

I would also replace wealthy with upper middle class. the wealthy often shift with their personal interests...oh, and remove the quotes from educated. Education level still largely determines lifetime earnings.
