Honestly, the only people that *want* to miss the playoffs for the sake of change are just trying to make themselves feel better in the event the Bills choke and don't get in.

Nope. Were talent depleted. Remember the 8 - 8 drought era Bills. Stuck in purgatory, never bottoming out.

We've kinda been there at a higher level of that... 2nd rd purgatory. Each year picking 26th-30th.... not acquiring the needed talent to get over the hump, and now picking that late has added up to deplete us.

This team is incredibly flawed. Were injury prone. Those players that miss the most games, cost us the most, and hurt us the most being on the bench. It's a non working formula.

Josh is almost 30. We can sit in purgatory hoping for a perfect storm of conditions to allow us to win... or step back, tear down the crappy pieces.... get some younger/healthier/cheaper talent in to replace them.... do it once, do it right. Give Josh a real chance

You're absolutely right.   However, we shoulda been able to stay on top longer than we have.   Drafting 1st round busts is a sure fire way to have the house of cards come collapsing down sooner than it should.   Thanks Beane

Sorry, missing the playoffs probably won’t do it. The Pegulas won’t start a whole new regime with the new stadium. He also knows in our division a new OC and a few FAs could do the trick with Josh as QB.

Youre probably right but if ever there was a scenario where it would happen, missing the playoffs would and should be it.

We hired McDermott and Beane at a time Buffalo had to be one of the least attractive jobs in the NFL.

Fast forward 8-9 years into the Josh Allen era...

I'm willing to bet there are highly qualified candidates willing to leave their jobs to get a chance at building around one of the NFL's Top 3 QBs in his prime.

I would love to see what our options are, and I would hate to waste another season with

- Another year of bad defense despite being led by a defensive minded HC
- More assistant coach promotions from within
- Missing on draft picks
- At LEAST 1 more game lost because coaching blew it in high leverage situations
- etc

Can't have it anymore. We need to be leveraging the fact that these positions would be coveted by some of the best coaches and GMs in the country.
