Dafan Posted Thursday at 11:54 PM Posted Thursday at 11:54 PM As much as ppl complain about Gabe...he averaged per year 61 receptions at 16.8 yards per reception. And just under 9 tds per year. Who else other than Diggs has been near those numbers? 2 Quote

More importantly, when you're getting the kind of production we're getting from our WR core, a grand total combined through 7 games of 13 catches for 164 yards and 1 TD for HALF of our WR core (Shavers, Moore, and Samuel) - how can you be upset about trying Gabe Davis in place of one of them? You really think Gabe Davis is worse than what we're already getting? Hell, Shavers is one of only 3 WR's to be active every game this year and he's gone without a catch in 5 out of the 7 games. 1 Quote

The issue with Gabe was that once he got elevated to WR2 in 2022........throwing the ball to him became a net negative for the offense. The passer rating when he was targeted in 2022-2023 was a very poor 80 and passes intended for him accounted for a staggering 12 interceptions. He had the same issues with the Jags last year........he was simply putrid.......off page with his QB, interceptions, drops etc.. He just wasn't a guy you wanted as anything more than a distant WR3 and 4th or 5th overall receiving option behind a TE and pass catching RB. That's BEFORE he hurt his knee. And for the people wondering why Elijah Moore is a journeyman scrub he is sort of the smaller, faster version of Gabe........incredibly, he was the intended target of 8 INT's in 2024 and arguably the worst high use WR in the league. If on the field simultaneously Gabe and Elijah might even run into each other full speed for an all-time NFL highlight. Edited yesterday at 12:41 AM by BADOLBILZ 2 2 Quote

Dude doesn’t even belong in the league. We want to trade for Shaheed. A guy who catches 25 balls a year. That’s who we need. Then run the best WR in franchise history out the door and act like Gabe Davis is trash. The guy made some of the biggest plays in Bills playoff history and gets nothing but hate. Diggs Beasley and Davis are all grossly under appreciated by this fan base. Quote

We just see his flaws. We remember the drops, the many times Josh was picked when throwing to Gabe, Josh's low passer rating when targeting Gabe, opposing DBs saying Gabe can only run 3 routes, long stretches of the season when Gabe was invisible... All that stuff. We also remember the KC game and the 98-yard TD reception against the Steelers. And we know he's an outstanding blocker and a great teammate. And if he suits up, we'll cheer him on and hope he's a hero. But, given his history, we don't have high expectations that he'll be a consistent contributor. 2 Quote
