I agree that players need to be ready (not with the last part, NFL players are expected to walk and chew gum), but that's also where your position coaches have a huge role. Brady does not have a position room. He's there witht he QBs in building a game plan, and then working with the pass game/run game coordinators, analysts, position coaches etc. His job is to build a game plan around the talent that's given to him by his head coach and position coaches Quote
Comebackkid Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago maybe some of it is the wr coach, it seems like a lot of the nuance of playing the position....including some simple basics....( how to run the route, where to line up) are not getting implemented. still a lot of times bradys routes dont make a lot of sense Quote

Buffalo716 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago In a rhythm passing game the biggest thing is being on the exact same page Like the one thing I'd like to see Josh take control of is command of the entire offense.. Peyton Manning Tom Brady style... Those guys drilled everything.. we're running a square in you take 12 steps, boom, square in right at this spot.. ball comes hit you here And they do that a hundred times in practice and then it comes to game and Tom Brady does it in his sleep It's why guys like Harry couldn't play good for Tom Brady because he couldn't master I need to run the route this way for Tom Brady to throw me the ball We have so much ability to create that I think there's not much fluidity even on the rhythm passes But Peyton Manning would be like no the square in you're taking 12 steps making your break and you're not getting it if you're not doing it that way But that made consistency for ball placement and route running Quote

If it's a one off you blame the player, when it's a consistent problem you blame the coach. Brady needs to get his guys on the same page. WRs lining up incorrectly, OL letting inside free rushers go by them untouched, Allen and his receivers thinking different play calls. They have to get this stuff straight. And it also explains why Allen went from the fake to Shakir, the look at Shavers, then the look over the middle, and then around to Davis in the flat. When he looked over the middle, he wasn't looking for Moore crossing - he was looking for Kincaid. Quote

That's what he was brought here to be. Kincaid and Shakir need to be our other primary targets. Elijah Moore is decent and I think needs to have the ball thrown to him more. He needs more targets than Coleman. Moore can average 60 receptions a year in Cleveland but not much here? He is a decent WR. Cook needs to have more routes thrown to him as well. I don't see what value Coleman adds. At this point, neither do I with Samuel. I truly believe it is time for Coleman to be inactive next game, possibly more. Quote
