My point is a lot of people just don't understand what a bunch of a$$holes Toronto sports fans can be.  

 

The fact that they never sold out a damn baseball game all regular season when they spent a good half of the season in first place and then were so salty about losing the league title speaks VOLUMES about the fan base.  

 

THAT is an example where a broad brush is all it takes.  

 

You guys weren't even all-in once for 81 home dates.  Nope.  Not until you thought you were going to get a prize for showing up.   If you are going to be fair-weather fans in a sport then take the L just as passively.

Am I misremembering that Americans booing the Canadian anthem was retaliation for Canadians booing the American national anthem? I'm not excusing either but my recollection is Canadians did it first  - with that said, I have no clue if it was Toronto. If it was the Americans first what was the trigger? Pretty sure I know what the trigger was if it was Canadians first, but that's a topic for the PPP folks.

Wow. The sheer volume of stupidity in one short post is oddly impressive. So kudos to you, I guess.

 

1. The Jays were second in attendance in the AL this year. They were 3rd the three years before that. 

 

2. Toronto is first and foremost a hockey town. The Leafs sell out pretty much every game no matter how bad they are. Outside of the NFL (with only 8 or 9 home games), there aren't many teams in North American sports that sell out every home game if the team isn't good. Tune in to a Sabres home game some time (as long as they're not playing the Leafs). Also, curious to know what you mean by "hockey set the bar for their behaviour".

 

3. I clearly wrote that neanderthal Americans were booing the Canadian anthem. Not that all Americans were Neanderthals. Maybe try reading a bit slower next time? I don't know. 

 

4. Proudly painting Toronto fans as "a bunch of a-holes" when anyone with any kind of critical thinking skills knows that there are good and bad fans of any team in any sport all over the world just shows you're not someone to be taken seriously.

 

It seems like you've had a bad experience or two in my hometown. I'm familiar with your posting style on this site and how little respect you show to your fellow Bills fans, so if you're anything like this in real life I'd be shocked if you didn't deserve it.

Ya, the booing started in Canada after the 51st state nonsense earlier this year but died down pretty quickly afterwards. Unless I missed something, those idiot Yankee fans booing the Canadian anthem last month came out of nowhere.

First of all.......addressing that anthem booing nonsense......even you know that Canadian fans started it.   You have no right to complain or call people Neanderthals for responding.   What did you expect.  Nobody here in the US paid any attention to the 51st state nonsense.  That junk was just jockeying and interference run between politicians.  Canadians got extremely bent out of shape because of a little brother complex when the reality is that the citizens here just view Canada as a neighbor.

And the buses that have come into Buffalo from Toronto for Bills games for years bring among THE worst behaved of fans to the games.  Undeniable fact.  I can't tell you how many times I've heard that familiar accent harassing opposing fans(or even home team fans) at Bills games.  Often they are not even Bills fans they are just here because they can behave in ways here that would incarcerate them in Ontario.  Fortunately, they tend to be huge pu$$ies so if they are harassing you....just take the drink out of their hand, throw it in their face and it will shut their whole bunch up.  

 

Which is kinda' my point.........you guys ain't about it so don't act like you are. 

 

And I've never said sh!t to anyone at a sporting event in Toronto.  I ignore it just like I do at all the other places I travel to games for.   It just is what it is.  You can take offense or you can accept the truth.

1. The Jays sold out multiple home games in the regular season. I know this because I looked for tickets myself. They finished second in the AL and 9th in the MLB in attendance. What's your barometer on where they'd have to finish to get the badolbilz seal of booing approval? Top 5?

 

Also, on what planet is the Rogers Center a new stadium? Why are you just spewing nonsense and making yourself look foolish?

5. The booing was obviously directed at your administration and had died down as soon as it had started early in the year. The Jays have played in multiple US cities this season, including New York. Was never an issue. Then, unprompted, some idiotic, neanderthal Yankee fans booed the Canadian anthem in the postseason. That's the definition of classless.

 

You really should just stick to posting about the Bills. Some of your posts are actually insightful in that forum. You're out of your element here.
