You do realize, Homey, that this ballroom is being paid for from non gov., ie non taxpayer money, don't you?

Private donations.

Of course you don't know that.

I will never vote Democrat. The Republicans aren't perfect (far from it actually) but they don't hate and despise America like the far-left Dems do. Dems are for terrorists, illegals over Americans. You are either an American or Democrat.

Sweet. Could have dedicated those to help people eat something other than "cake."  Well done.  Also, that number pales in comparison to the taxpayer funds MAGA kicked Trump's autocrat bro in Argentina.  Argentina First!

The reason why it is still shut down is because the num nuts or the Dems won't vote for it to reopen because they can't get their transgender BS in the bill or their constituents might black ball them if they do vote to reopen the gov't so go sit and pick your nose like normal and eat a booger .

The ball room thing is from donations from my understanding which has nothing to do with anything so that's a moot point just more of the lefty BS . Oh and did he forget there is enough money to continue him and ALL OF THE OTHER ASS HATS IN CONGRESS to continue to get pay checks ?

NO he sure didn't because that would call him self and all the others into the money equation when they should be the first to get their pay stopped because they and all of the other CAREER POLITICIANS that have been in DC for 20+ years are the biggest reason why the deficit is what it is .

OH but I forgot IT'S ALL TRUMPS FAULT DIP S**TS all of you ...

Most donations for specific purposes.

The point is that it is not taxpayer money, and shouldn't be suggested that it is.

That's not a judgement, that is just pointing out a fact, and it has nothing to do with any perceived political loyalty, which is often and erroneously done here when someone points out a simple fact.

Cool.  So the admin shook down big tech for some stupid friggin ballroom while the majority of Americans live paycheck to paycheck and see soaring electricity and healthcare costs.  And, at the same time, the admin kicked $20b to a douchebag autocrat in the relatively inconsequential country of Argentina.  And, Kristi Noem gets a PJ for a cool $170m.  America First.  Or is it Trump and Argentina First.  What a corrupt, disgusting disgrace this administration has become.

It's weird what you find funny.  If you voted to imperil the soy industry, raise prices on necessities like food, electricity, and health insurance, and send $20b to Argentina, then you should be thrilled.

When the Democrats stand for something other than fighting to keep illegals in the country and advocating for street criminals I'll listen.

It is an absolutely absurd argument to suggest that accepting private donations for a specific project is somehow not feeding the US citizenry.

It is also short sighted to call Argentina "inconsequential."

I have no view on the 20b sent their way, not as direct aid, but a currency transfer by the way,  but that country has near infinite potential as an ally. and keeping them out of China's grasp is an important sidebar to this, and part of the goal.

But it is a fool's errand to ever condemn one party or the other for a private donation project, when riders, often called earmarks, by the tens of thousands are added to US budget expenditures doing little but supporting pet projects of Congress people.

This is quite to argument that I should pay to lower the healthcare cost to allow these rich people to retire early. I am not exaggerating the statements being being made by AK, early retirement paid for by the government at the expense of people who still work.

Seems like a shell game, right?

Why do I have to pay for my health insurance and these folks health insurance?

Check the news, man.  They're trying to help with ACA premiums.  Not like you pay attention or care.  MAGA doesn't worry about that.  Or electricity costs.  Or food costs.  Or inflation.  You guys are all wrapped up in what you can do to people--not for people--and how you can mislead them.  Meanwhile, for the masses, things are just getting worse. But at least the ballroom club that you'll never be invited into will be spiffy.

Why do I contribute to your social security?  And why does my state subsidize red states?  Because it's a friggin partnership.  And MAGA chooses Argentina and PJs for Kristi Noem over people like them.  Argentina First, apparently.

Why is health insurance tethered to employment?  These people aren't rich.  They simply availed themselves of something that was available under the law.  And MAGA wants to change the law, or allow the law to change, such that these middle income earners have to pay more.  But there was no adjustment to the top income tax bracket to return it to Obama-era levels.  If this is what you voted for--giving rich folks a tax cut while we pay more--then you should be thrilled.

Yeah, sure.  Let's boost the Argentinians at the expense of our beef producers.  What's $20b between friends.  What a crock.
