@Logic how many groyper cells are there in Utah and why are so many of them being investigated by the FBI now? I'm confused... Are...they ....maybe not groypers?

And you killed him.

Only out of context clips as per their Jon Stewart upbringing

We can't reason or have productive discussions to find common ground with these people.

Fully demoralized. Facts mean zero point zero to them.

Defeating them fully and completely is the only way out.

Where did you get this number? Everywhere I have seen said 200 yds

I was using that as an example of how hard it is to shoot even for someone that is proficient at shooting . At 200 yds that is a hard shot to hit your mark the first time so that guy must have been a person that was familiar with what it took for a long shot .

Not right wing groups? Didn't some right wingers think Kirk wasn't right wing enough? This kid came from a hard core MAGA family

But they get a pass?

What does that even mean? You vote for Trump instead of Killary, Biden or Harris?

And where is it reported they are "hard core"?

Seriously. What is that definition?

Not sure where you're from but most teenagers south of the Mason dixon and situated between the Appalachians and the Sierra's can shoot a cantelope at 200 yards.  It's not a hard shot.

200 yards is NOT a difficult shot. It's actually extremely easy, especially with a 30-06 round. This kid, like so many of us, grew up around firearms. My kids were and are raised around firearms. My wife, who only knows how to shoot her Ruger LC9... I could teach her to hit a target out to 500 yards in about an hour.

One of the more annoying things after all this are the internet morons who sit there and claim things like "Must have been an expert sniper", "Foreign government." or "That is a near impossible shot". GTFO to all of you.

When I was 11 (until I was about 14) traveled to complete in the Jr. NRA and Civilian Marksman Program. I'd compete on military ranges (like Camp Perry, Ohio). Reaching out to 500 yards with open sights was something we did regularly. That's with a 5.56 round with a semi-auto platform. Now, put an optic on a BOLT action with a 30-06 caliber... you can hit 1000 yards with just a little practice.

This 22-year old would need very little training and time to hit a human size target with a Mauser 98 that has even a so-so optic. The kid actually didn't account for the slight drop (at that range, a 30-06 has very little drop) and missed his head.

Non-gun people have zero clue about firearms and what their capabilities are and aren't. It's so damn annoying to listen to people make moronic assumptions. 200 yards is your typical hunting range (deer). Many hunters zero their rifle at 200 yards. I could OPEN sight a human target at 300 yards with zero issues. Forget needing glass to hit it.

Where i come from guns are a regular part of culture. 200 yards for deer for you is considered insane lol but that's because the guys that take care of my land we worked out set ups less than 50 yards building strong plots adjacent to pasture.

Reddit kids, like this one, also spend a ton of time getting to know them. A decent scope, in this time of year with moderate temperatures, and little wind a 200 yard shot is easy as you said. A guy comes on my longer distance plots for 400m shots and can usually hit them within a 10" point. He's not pro. Just does it for fun.  A good scope properly sited can make a great shot from anyone.

I don't hunt or shoot, haven't shot anything in damn near 30 years. I think gun culture is weird yet I still know enough to know what's realistic and what's not.

Which I get.

I am from Oklahoma, have property (I'm assuming as you do) and was raised around them. Oddly enough, my father didn't own a gun... it was my uncle that introduced me to shooting (good ole. 10-22). I then went to safety classes and my instructor saw something in me, went on to travel across the country to compete. I fell in love with sport shooting, especially long distance. So my 'gun culture' was birthed out of joy of competing.

As for distance, yea... if you have things set up to 50-yards, your blind, feeding station, etc. You'll normally be shooting that close. Out here, we have large patches cleared for large windmills, powerlines, etc that give us a clear line of sight up to 2000 yards. So we set up the corn feeders around 100 yards, 200 yards, etc. from our blind. I like to shoot 150+ because they notice you 'less' than if you were 100 and in.

If I was into all of that and able I'd want to go out west and get gophers, coyotes, foxes, and such on the plains. Those shots are amazing.

Saw a farmer do a dusk shot open site from probably 400 yards to defend a lamb from a coyote. Was amazing to see. The red from coyote was all over the lamb as soon as good contact was made.

He wasn't a groyper. He was dating a man pretending to be a woman. That makes him part of the LGBTQ+ crowd. You don't date someone the same sex, or opposite sex who claims to be a different gender (which is not uncommon) and not be 'bi-sexual' or 'other than straight'. Not how it works.

Sorry.

They were big Trump supporters, so hard core. What's the issue?

I don't get the link between the kid being gay and the shooting. Wasn't Kirk really cool with gays? That's what I been hearing

Sorry, but 200 yards seems pretty far. Looking at a person two football fields away and they seem pretty small.

If you can hit someone at 500 yards, then I suspect that if there are copy cats of this they will have a decent chance of getting away. I have not seen any info on the tracing of the rifle, but the cops seemed stumped before his family turned him in. Could the gun of been traced by checking the round and matching it to some records?

Hopefully you realize that you're essentially attempting to have a discussion with the collective leftist reliable media borg.

If not, you soon will.
