Ethan in Cleveland Posted August 15 Posted August 15 LOL apparently Chandler and I have the same YouTube preferences. I saw this today. It is longest TD runs at Highmark, thus home games from 1973 until now. So many interesting things in the background. Jim Donovan called two of those runs. He was a great play by play guy. RIP. The 1973 Simpson run recap was Pat Summerall. Bills started 4-1 and then he goes on to state they play Miami in the Orange Bowl to see if they are "for real". And of course they were not. They would go on to lose to Miami and finish in second place and out of the playoffs. Incredibly the Bills offense broke the record for most rushing yards in one season and of course OJ would go for 2003. But the passing offense produced only two 100 yard games all year. The next game he mentions, Bills only rushed for 75 yards and had net 1 yard passing. Absolutely mind blowing stats. Ferguson went 3 of 9 for 25 yards and gave up 20 yards on 3 sacks. Shaw also went 3 of 9 for 35 yards and gave up 6 sacks for 39 yards. 1 Quote

Cash Posted August 15 Posted August 15 Thanks for posting! My thoughts: 1. Those Greg Bell unis are an absolute eyesore. 2. The Thurman run was the first NFL game I ever attended in person. I was in the end zone behind the Bills. One thing I forgot was that Lofton doesn’t just run with Thurman, he actually makes an impactful block about 60 yards downfield. And in FRONT of the runner, not behind. I can’t think of another time I’ve seen that off the top of my head. 3. I was surprised that OJ was only on the list once, but I didn’t account for it being stadium-specific and not home-game-specific. 4. I was also surprised that Kenny Davis was the only 2-timer. The draw on 3rd and 6 was the absolute perfect play call, and he just turned on the jets. The second one was a more impressive run, and probably the best of his career. Tremendous balance to shake off about 4 tackles, including the last one at high speed. 5. Cook might alter the list a bit this year. Even if he doesn’t, that 65-yarder in the snow was awesome. That whole game was such a joy and delight to watch. (For us - not so much for Niners fans.) 3 Quote

Bills fan since 87 Posted August 15 Posted August 15 (edited) The Kenneth Davis spin and to the house vs the Colts was my first Bills game in Buffalo, I must have been about 13 or 14 then. I remember my dad and i driving down to Utica and then taking a bus out. Walking into that stadium for the first time was magical. I had a broom stick with a horse hanging from it like noose (one of the MANY things you used to be able to bring in but can't now, guy a few seats over had his own case of beer!). The people around me and my dad all wanted to give me a high five. As a kid at his first home Bills game it was an awesome feeling. YEARS later I've probably been to over 100 home games, getting seasons when I moved to Rochester in 2014 aided that. But that drive with my dad from the Airondacks to Utica and then Buffalo, walking into Rich stadium for the first time to see my heroes. Nothing will ever beat that. Aside from winning the AFC Championship in the last game at the old house Edited August 16 by Bills fan since 87 2 Quote

I wouldn't have guessed Kenneth Davis would be the only guy to appear twice on this list. His 78-yarder was a beautiful thing. 1 Quote
PonyBoy Posted August 16 Posted August 16 The biggest thing that stood out to me was how slooooww Simpson's running TD was compared to the others. 😉 Quote
