I saw KISS (the original lineup) at the Aud in 1977. Put on a great show. Have no recollection who the opening act was though.  They or their management knew who to pick for openers though.

They had Rush and  Cheap Trick open for them.

I thought it was some click bait , but I saw it on Fox News that it wasaounced by Trump himself that KISS will be one of the Kenedy Center honorees  in December!

Wow.  Libs have been owned.  Sweet.  Meanwhile you're tooling around in a Nissan Maxima or whatever and things continue to get more expensive while the Trump family has likely increased its collective wealth by hundreds of millions of dollars in the past 10 months.  Good stuff.

The only thing we know with absolute certainty is that you are not a suitable judge. Just sit back and enjoy the show.

Hoax.  Any luck on the Epstein files?  Or still too busy protecting "Hilly?"

I bought a 2021 Nissan Altima a year ago after I totaled my 2009 Ford Focus (which was rusting out). Paid cash for it.  If you have any working brain cels, everything gets more expensive all the time.  What matters to me is that things are going better  for me health wise than they have in years.  Priorities are you, your family, and friends health and well being. Don't really care about others that much.

Rush opened a lot for Kiss in the 70s. The two acts couldn't be more different musically, but Rush has credited Kiss for teaching them a lot about creating a highly choreographed and professional stage presence.

Looks like this was the show you saw. No wonder you don’t remember the opening act.

The opening act for KISS in Buffalo in 1978 was the Detroit band The Rockets. The band played a show at the Buffalo Memorial Auditorium on January 25, 1978, with Gene Simmons's KISS performing as the main act and The Rockets providing support.

Details of the show

Date: January 25, 1978

Venue: War Memorial Auditorium, Buffalo, NY

Main Act: KISS

Opening Act: The Rockets

People that mock others for the music they like or the car they drive get two thumbs down.

Agreed. But maybe that’s because I drive a Volvo and have been on a Phil Collins kick lately so I can’t throw stones. 😂

That's right! I got a car  after the blizzard of 77 ad dated a girl for about 3 weeks around Christmas 77, I was planning on taking her to the KISS show, but we broke up before it.

I wasn’t there and never had a chance to see KISS but would have if the opportunity presented itself. That you think that’s lame makes me happy.

I saw Backstreet Boys at Sphere four weeks ago. Super entertaining. I will be very pleased to be subject to your disdain over it.

I don’t know why I like the fact that you saw Backstreet Boys so much. I assume you’re in your 40s+. And the “I don’t give a ***** what others think about that” is awesome. Not my cup of tea, but it’s music. It’s subjective. And interested to hear about the sphere; worth what I assume is an upcharge for the venue?

Youngster…put your thinking cap on. JDHillFan…40s? THINK!!

I saw U2 on the second night it was open and couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Went to the NHL Draft (free tix) and it was cool. For a very boring event I had a lot of fun. Mostly just seeing 18 yo guys milling around in their best threads with their families and gf’s. A group of about 50 family and friends of a first round pick were seated immediately behind us and to see those people absolutely erupt in what looked like the most joyous moment of their lives is not something that will be forgotten.

BSB was hilarious. They played the nostalgia angle perfectly. Crowd was beyond into it. It’s near impossible to focus on the artist because of how incredible the graphics are. If you like spectacles, it’s a must see. Will be at Zac Brown in January. It’s expensive. $22 for a beer.

IDGAF what anyone thinks about the music I like, the car I drive, the clothes I wear, or the beer I drink.
