No I assume those are expatriates

Who have left Buffalo to Sunny pastor and think we lag behind

I left for Indiana for grad school and Cincinnati for a job. Nothing sunny about any of it and would move home in a second.

That's awesome that you still love your roots

And there's nothing wrong with leaving and growing most of my family has including my brother

But to me Buffalo is a beautiful city

Just a billion dollar gimmick and a showcase for modern engineering.

I really don’t even completely understand the ‘but this massive football venue can be used year round with a roof’ argument…there’s only like three months that would even apply to and when you’re a pretty small market you’re not even getting a lot of big concerts and such in the first place.

I’m all for people personally preferring domes  but it really feels like a ploy to try to bring a Super Bowl to a non-traditional area when teams decide to build one.  Buffalo could never logistically support a Super Bowl anyway

Exactly and I've already had so many back and forth with the dome people only

I literally went the website for Jerry world's Palace.. and there was like 15 events booked for the entire year and that's the best dome in the world

every stadium survey said a brand new stadium whether it was multi-purpose or football only was bringing in about the same as a brand new Target

So keeping it best as possible for football and keeping our traditions definitely is in more of our interest than going full corporate

Nope. Not even close. Just not someone whose built his life around creature comforts of sitting and TV. Nothing macho about it. Which is what's so depressing. People have really let themselves slip into basic comforts where they don't have a shred of basic resiliency. If watching an NFL game outdoors is becoming too much for people I'd really question where we are heading as a society.

The fact you went to macho tough guy is another indicator of how far we are slipping as a society. It's not macho to want to watch a game outdoors. It's actually a very normal thing. If you're elderly and perfer a Dome I understand that completely. If you're not, you are likely a sit in air conditioning during the summer and stay indoors during the winter type of person. Is what it is.

"Why do people stay home in their air conditioned comfort and watch on their big screen TVs??!!?? In the 60s and 70s we didnt do this!!!"

[Forgets there were no houses with AC and big screen TVs in the 60s and 70s]

I, very simply, love going to AND watching football games that involve the elements of the weather. I love the additional factors that come into play. It's been this way since I started playing the game and watching it as a youngster. It does not make me the least bit tougher, weaker, smarter, or less smart. It's simply a preference. This debate, like many debates here is way off the rails. There are many that share this opinion on the game, and nobody will change that no matter what stupid insults are thrown around. The 49ers game last season was my favorite game I attended outside of the Ravens playoff game. It's just the way it is.

Remind me to check in with you next time the Bills play a home game where it is 40° and raining for 3 hours. 😂

Been to dozens of those through the years. That loss at home to the Colts a few years back was sure wet! I think its the fact that I'm fortunate enough to have good rain gear and winter gear that keeps me comfy. Growing up a skier and a sailor probably helps too.
