muppy Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) this is just too random not to post. What are the odds? This was recently posted by a friend on her facebolk. She lives a mile away from me. and as I have mentioned we live near canyons. So while not as shocking as a mountain lion this is still a Very residential suburb and guess what and see what shows up HOLY COW Quote We have lived in our house since December 1985, this is the first time we’ve had a bobcat in our yard! So cool!! Edited 3 hours ago by muppy Quote

About the size of our smallish Golden retriever, but much skinnier and much more serious looking. We kept our dogs inside that night. Quote

Of course it was claiming territory. . I cleaned it up it was gross. Quote
frostbitmic Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Whatever went rawr will have plenty to eat when it comes outta the bushes. It probably has covered the 5 miles or so from where it was spotted to my backyard and will steal my BBQ Chicken this afternoon. I best keep a baseball bat with me. Why not though, there are fox and coyote living in the city and they get the random bear (growing population in WNY) there have also been pics/vids supposedly of Mountain Lions in the Southern Tier and Finger Lakes, though DEC denies it. For one to get into the center of the city before being seen or munching on someone seems unlikely. 1 Quote

It’s fairly developed around us, and getting more so, but there are nights when we hear them and keep a close eye on the dogs during brief trips outside to do their business. Quote
