And now the MAGAs will happily move the goalposts to defend this. As I said, a complete utter sham Dear Leader Donald the Dove is the Peace candidate who won’t start wars. That’s why we love Dear Leader for starting a war.
Roundybout Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago There’s no escaping this. They thought Trump was for peace, and now they’re going to instantly change their tones. It’s astonishing what they do for Israel. I just don’t get it. 1 minute ago, JDHillFan said: I look forward to your repetitive posts on the matter. Makes me yearn for “flag code”. Why would I listen to you? You can’t even read an academic paper beyond three sentences. 1
Big Blitz Posted 6 hours ago Author Posted 6 hours ago Raise your hand if you voted for Trump bc you thought he would never ever strike a country that posed a threat to the U.S. or our allies. *No one raises hand* 1

Keep you outraged and looking the other way while he pushes his disastrous presidency and that disgusting tax bill. You always lose. That bill is bad. This situation could get really bad. All eyes now turn to Hormuz. If that thing is mined tonight and tankers can't get through . . . . there are going to be big economic problems at home. 1 minute ago, Big Blitz said: What was I to do with the intel Iran has a nuke? Probably trash it since they probably would be moving that thing into play at this point if they actually had it. And, I'll add, if that intel did exist, maybe we shouldn't have diddled after Israel started this thing and taken it out ASAFP instead of waiting to hit the three nuke sites. So your point about intel re: a nuke supporting this action at this time doesn't wash. Edited 6 hours ago by SectionC3 1

sodbuster Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Explains why the naval base at Bandar Abbas got the business earlier today. Had to make sure Iran couldn't retaliate by shutting down Hormuz.

Like we did with the deal Trump killed a few years ago Maybe you missed the part where they cheated on that “deal,” have actively pursued one, and were not accepting any terms that would tell them “no enriching at all.” Everything else was on the table including the regimes survival. They chose nukes. Thats not peace.

ChiGoose Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Gotta think that lots of countries are thinking of starting nuclear weapons programs now. If no deal can be trusted, and you can be bombed and attacked for not having nukes even as you are negotiating a potential nuclear treaty, the only logical solution is to get nukes to prevent bombings. We’re not bombing North Korea are we? Pakistan? Everyone is going to want nukes to protect themselves now. 1 1

They chose nukes. Thats not peace. And yet Trump befriended the North Koreans. And we have thousands of nukes. They're principally defensive weapons. We'll see in the days and weeks ahead whether bombing the Iranians was the right call. A lot turns on Hormuz.
Roundybout Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago The MAGA ideology everyone! It’s totally not a cult!

Especially in light of this crisis. Good thing our immigration policy has been tight the last 4 years.
SectionC3 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Interesting thought there. Drudge has a reference to Iran indicating that the enriched uranium was moved in advance of the site and that there is no leak. I wonder whether we can determine the success (or lack thereof) of the strike by determining whether there is a radiation spike in the area of the bombings. If there is no spike, does it mean that either that the facility is intact, or that the uranium was moved in advance? Both options are problems, but especially the second one, because then we're going to have to find out where the eff that uranium is at before it becomes a dirty bomb. The bet here is that if it was moved, it's in Pakistan.

We’ll see.

Yes, this is a thing that dumb people think. But in the real world, this action, like the US stepping back from global hegemony, only incentivizes nuclear proliferation. Countries with nukes generally don’t get invaded. Countries protected by countries with nukes generally don’t get invaded. 1
