McDuffie would’ve been nice.  If we traded up for him, we likely wouldn’t have 2 of the following- James cook, Terrell Bernard, Khalil Shakir.  We’d likely have one additional player (as we traded our 4 for Elam) but who knows how this would’ve played out…but it’s not like we’d have the same team + mcduffie, minus Elam.

So over the last two years Benford's PF grade is 4th, his advanced coverage grade is 6th so they rank him 8th?

I, for one, am getting tired of this common core math.

I just find it interesting that per their own stats and rankings he is higher than what they chose to rate him.

It's Top 32 for 2025, not the previous two years. There are always up and comers and guys that slip down a little. It's hard to argue that any of the guys above him don't deserve to be.

And they were all wrong.  Lamar also had HOF RB Derrick Henry.

Wrong as in he didn’t win?  Did you think Lamar was deserving of the MVP in 2023?  He wasn’t imo… but he won.  I don’t think that makes the people who voted for someone other than Lamar “wrong”

Next year Mad Max will be #1

He's less a CB1 to me, at least in his first couple years with Benford around, and more a dynamic matchup guy with some early dime/slot inside flex. On obvious passing downs in his 2nd season, 2026, would love to see Benford and Strong on the outside with Hairston kicking inside (not unlike what KC has often done with McDuffie, especially prior to last year).

I think by the end of this year, we have two #1 CB's.  and that is a GREAT thing.

Hairston could have some height/weight challenges defending a Tee Higgins type, but might (eventually) be better suited against a speed/separation beast like Chase. Which theoretically works out really well in tandem with guys like Benford and hopefully Strong, who are the opposite.

(If I may be so reductive)
