Another Fan Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago (edited) Not trying to throw shade on Indiana. Any way you slice it that’s a hell of a job they’ve been doing. Still it seems the NBA is more 3 point friendly than ever? That and I know the Bills iconic 32 point comeback got broken a few years ago. I mean I don’t even really remember what team and season it was. But still with the 2 point conversation and the league being more offensive friendly than the 90s it’s easier ? ExiledInIllinois Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Bills did it before 2 point conversions. Indiana would won game on buzzer beater had Haliburton been beyond the 3 point arc. Yeah so, maybe. Bills also got help, no video review on Don Beebe. Quote
Doc Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago If you're talking NBA, the 3 pointer has killed the sport. It's why ratings are tanking. 1 Quote

This leads to more blowouts and less compelling games. I miss the more physical product they put on the court a few decades ago but I'm also too old to be the "target market" so maybe these kids like their three point shooting contest. Quote

I think the long season and the enormous contracts have ruined the NBA. I loved it back when Buffalo had the Braves, and everybody tried as hard as college players. Going to a Tuesday night game in Charlotte it’s obvious that they are just going thru the paces. We took our scrappy little AAU point guard and in less than 5 minutes he turned to me and said “they’re not even trying!” Correct. I believe you about the 3 point shot, but I have to take your word for it. I haven’t watched the NBA in years, but I heard somebody missed like 45 3 pointers in one game. I’m not missing anything, IMO. Quote

Once the GSW started playing the 3-point game I knew where the league was headed. Edited 4 hours ago by Doc Quote
